thanks so much Jeff. I have the exact same knife. bought tough grid 750 neon green paracord. watched you video 3 times lol. but now it sets perfectly mid to upper chest and doesn't print with a jacket. with a shirt it's hardly noticeable. it's very comfortable on my neck.

I was taught to do at least 3 loops for this knot, with even more being stronger. It was called the double grinner knot where I learned it. Of course it has a dozen other names, like all knots. A cool thing about it is that it supposedly has the same break strength as the un-knotted cord. Most knots will reduce the strength by 50% or more.

If you do 3 wouldn’t it be the triple grinner knot

@@theknifeconnection9571 I think the "double" refers to the fact that you make the same knot in each of the two working ends. I could be wrong. Knot nomenclature makes little sense to me!

I use the same node but only on one side so that is like brake away node.
    Also I use 4 to 5 turns.

Thank you for making this video. It really helped me a lot on making my decision on what type of knot I want to use on my 550 cord neck knife setup.

I did something similar with my neck knife, except I stitched the ends off with furniture thread and burned the ends together.

Pretty much a double uni knot. I use this knot to connect my monofilament leaders to my main braided line when fishing.

I was just thinking that. Ive always done s single uni but imma start doing a double. It looks more secure.

You can make a safer necklace with only one knot if getting strangled is a concern. You will have a long tail on one side but it will slide thru the knot if you pull hard enough ;)

I could be watching any other video and not have to be fidgeting with a knife, but when I watch an EDC or gear video, I have to have a knife with me.

Nice knot, but I would be arrested where I live if I wore one of those and since they don’t have a safety release it is not something I would wear

I thought perhaps this was a stone cold Steve Austin neck knife. But apparently not so no idea how this involves wrestling
