    This series is much needed. And i hope you do more of this. I learned my lesson a year ago when I bought Breast and Eggs and has been having a hard time finishing it. I'm almost 80% complete but im not sure if I'm able to complete it this year, especially if i have other many TBRs

    Before the coffee gets cold is one of the most boring, see through and repetitive books in recent memory. If minus 3 stars was an option...

      lmaooo fair enough, I read it on holiday years ago so maybe I need to re-read and see if I still feel the same

    I think the translations got lost in the Before the coffee gets cold and frankly, a lot of Japanese literature as well. I read the Japanese and traditional Chinese version and honestly the writing is so much better. I think this also happens with the memory police.

      interesting! it's a shame when books lose some of the magic they have when translated ):

      oooo future video idea! I've seen a lot of movie/tv adaptations that I think do the books well, so I'd be more than happy to chat about this

    I also liked the Normal People show better than the book. I think the story didn't do well in book format, but the show's actors really made it shine.

      I still haven't got round to watching the tv show of conversations with friends - is it worth it?

    • @charlenesnotes
      @charlenesnotes 6 місяців тому

      @@katerinareem I think watching normal people made me feel more emotion towards the main characters more than it did in the book. And conversations with friends also had the effect. I do think though that conversations with friends was more enjoyable to read than normal people. The director did a good job at making the audience see how human the characters are.
      But yes! Worth it, can be a bit slow at times though.
