As an actor and scriptwriter with a Theater Degree, I am so happy to see someone outside the theater world enjoy Shakespeare. Also, all of your ratings for each play I 100% agree with/can respect (except for As You Like It, that’s my favorite Shakespeare comedy so it will always be a 10 for me, especially because I saw it at the Globe Theatre in London so I know I’m quite biased). And yes, Falstaff is Shakespeare’s best character. He’s in like 10 of Shakespeare’s plays, and that whole “Cinematic Universe” thing is not incorrect. Often Shakespeare would do that I believe because it’s easier to use characters from past works then to create ones from scratch. Also, I can very much relate to being able to watch a Shakespeare play live with ACTUALLY trained Shakespeare actors. It’s quite incredible to witness. Love, love, LOVE this video. P.S. I would go to that sandwich shop

Bro as a theater kid who’s teacher REALLY likes shakespeare (seriously. Our school put on 2 shakespeare shows this year. Technically 3 if you count Something Rotten but whatever) I have developed an almost pavlovian response to anything even remotely referencing Romeo and Juliet, or Hamlet, or Midsummer. I am filled with an intense urge to study everything shakespeare but dear god I don’t have time

And I didn’t expect myself to watch it til the end, but I did! I have only read 5 of Shakespeare’s plays and have always wanted to read more, especially his comedies. By watching how you enjoy and at the same time suffer reading Shakespeare, made me remember the good times I had reading them as well (like still now I can’t forgot the line from Macbeth: What you an egg?). With all of that, man I think this is one of the best UA-cam videos I’ve ever watched, the quality, time, effort and your dedication for this video is at stellar! I've never seen this guy's video's before but in my opinion this is the best video of the year. Each Act distinct and interesting, the editing inspired, the score perfectly fitting. And to top it off the guy's actually very fun to watch, many of his jokes land and talks with a genuine passion for each of the works, whether he likes them or not. 10/10 would watch again.

For anyone who wants to take on Shakespeare’s works, I highly recommend full cast audiobooks. I love Shakespeare and adapted, directed, and acted in his plays in college, but aside from getting to be a part of putting the shows on or seeing live theater, the full cast audiobooks are my favorite ways to consume his works

the level of detail you put into this is insane. When I paused to read the "play" you wrote out, I wasn't expecting it to be the script of the video that you hadn't even got to yet lmao. I was tripping when you were speaking stuff that I already read in the play haha

I love it when people discover Shakespeare for the first time, Because Liam really just asked if Malvolios flirting with the yellow stockings and the “Ho ho”s in twelfth night was intentionally comedic (the answer is yes, it’s probably one of the most popular comedic acts in his entire work)
