    It amazes me how some authors can write a short book and yet pack so much in & can in equal parts devastate & inspire the reader.

    I only have read "the yellow wallpaper" which i liked as well. Me trying to get over my fear of big books will likely not be over soon with these amazing recommendations!

    Have you seen the film The Quiet Girl? It's the film adaptation of Foster.

    Oh yes, "Foster" is a beauty of a novel. "White Nights" has been on my wishlist for years! I should get around to get me a copy - so thank you for the reminder.

    I always thought the Little Prince was like a picture book or something. I want to read the actual book.

    Yes! A very great list, i read them all. I would ad also from Tolstoy How much land does a man need? was also an impactfull little book for me

    Havent read any of these but they all sound amazing. I read The Six Deaths of the Saint by Alix E. Harrow earlier this year and it blew me away. I've been meaning to read more short books since then so this is a great list!

    How come “white nights” only 82 pages in English, and 380 in Russian?😂
