After looking at the 1025R, 2025R and 3025R, I finally came across this 3035D. The base price for this is only 4K more than the 1025R with a loader! If I can find one of these, I gonna snag it. My dealer doesn’t carry it and wont talk about it. These guys are really pushing the “R” Cadillac models for the ridiculous prices they are wanting. I am going through as many videos as I can to find out what this thing CAN’T do. Thank you for pointing out the fixed loader. THAT is NOT a deal breaker, for me. I love the thought of a BASIC, OLD TIME TRACTOR!! Keep making videos of the day to projects. I appreciate all the work it takes to get guys like me educated in this world of “Tractoring”.
I know you need to stop to change ranges, but are you able shift gears within a range on the move using the clutch? Or do you need to stop to change gears too?
I honestly don’t know the answer to your question. As long as I owned the tractor I always stopped. Maybe it was what I was used to doing on my Massey Ferguson. Thanks so much for watching.
I was interested in the John Deere 3025D but the list price is $20,055.00, the price on these tractors have went up significantly in the past couple years and the fact that the D series does not have a independent PTO kind of pushes me away from the D series and the hydrostat versions of the 25hp John Deere's are priced too high for me. I think the compact tractor market is passing me by on pricing.
Not going to lie. My daily driver car has been a manual transmission for almost 30 years...including now... But this looks like a huge pain in the butt.

Yes for the price I was fine with the tractor. It serves me well. I was raised on a manual transmission.

I understand, because I have my 253 Massey which I use for all PTO implements, it was not a concern to me.
