Man.....ME1 just gave you the space feeling right off the bat. ME1 had this mysterious feeling and this made it feel so epic like you've arrived in paradise in space. Huge journey awaits!
Yeah, me too. It's been now nearly two years since the first and only time I ever went through the entire series. I didn't want to go through it like three times because I was afraid it would lose the magic it had. Now I can't wait to experience it all again...
***** Yeah that's true... XD I just don't think I can ever go through with a Renegade person. I just feel it so much way too awkward to listen to Shepard being nasty. :( So that limits my options a bit. :D There are some renegade actions in ME2 and ME3, though, that I do use, like wounding the repairer Batarian with the arcwelder when you're going to fetch Archangel from Omega.
AzureTemplar totally agree with you sometimes renegade just feels the right thing to do. But hell no I can go renegade true the hole game. I always do paragon :)
Just thinking that space exploration is sooooo faaaaar awaaaayyy makes me incredibly sad and this song just reminds me the wonders of vast unexplored void with adventures and exploration never know to men.i always cry of desperation when i hear this. Its just so beautiful...
I remember when this game came out, in 2007. I had picked up a copy of Baldur's Gate 2 at the thrift store years earlier, then a used Xbox. In my mind, I saw a straight line from BG2, to KOTOR1/2 to this game. I thought RPGs were going to get even better. When I first started playing Mass Effect, I knew I had found the gaming experience, universe and gameplay I was looking for. I finally understood the emotion, the connection that others felt when they talked about Zelda, MGS or Final Fantasy. I don't think I'll ever see a game that spoke to everything I wanted, everything I looked for. In 2019, this song has a sad, nostalgic quality. It's a song of unrealized potential, of what happens when trends dictate the direction of art. What could have been, if the ideas, the spirit that this music evokes, could have been followed.
I don't know about anyone else, but I feel that THIS is the proper Mass Effect Theme, not the official one. This is probably the only track in the series to consistently appear in every game. It even appeared at the end of the Andromeda trailer, so what does that tell you?
I've just completed ME for the first time and currently playing through ME2 This soundtrack is just so good-can't help but remember the events that occurred in the first game.
Probably the most calming and mellow track in th entire trilogy. This is for the moments, when SHepard can lay down the guns and forget that the universe is at risk and just take a few moments to look back at the wonders they have seen.
This is the first song you hear in the entire series, if you play the games in order. This promises something grand, but doesn't give you anything to assume otherwise. This song relays peace, but also a great sadness. Truly deserving of it's place within an amazing saga.
This game really did change my impact on things too. For all we know Space is Infinite. And that means anything and everything is possible so let your imagination run free. For all you know this game may have more realism than you thought possible.
An2quamaraN and that comproves the multiverse theory(or not), maybe we are in 1 of the many universes that exist, or maybe there is just one! we go to the left and end up in the right... anyway this soundtrack makes me think of life... my purpose in this universe, am i alone in this galaxy? when will we find other specied like us? or maybe diferent but more or less intelligent? makes me think of everything.... gosh i cant describe in words what emotions and toughts this music triggers
This soundtrack is absolutely beautiful, it just makes me want to cry, you feel so much emotion listening to this. i completed the first game twice now, and currently on the second one, although i love the first one more than the second one, so far. :P
Liara : It seems one thing that had changed, Legion sacrificed himself for us, for the galaxies, for the millions of lives praying for survival. He said "I" instead of "WE" before he gave his life. His sacrifice would not go in vain. And this music in background
One of the best series or games ever. Its been an emotional ride. This music appears in every game just at the right moment, pure genius. For me this music is mass effect and also provides a good soundtrack to our universe . Thanks bio ware until next time
First time I heard this in Mass Effect, I felt as if things opened new. I always listened to it fully, at the end, during ME3, whenever I heard this song, whether it be from Liara playing it on piano in Citadel DLC or on Rannoch or Tuchanka after the genophage was cured... I've always cried,
Remember first time I booted up Mass Effect, felt like a new galaxy was completely open for me and me alone. Mysteries and legends ready to be discovered and created. Never felt like that for any game since Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask... God, the nostaligia is fantastic.
Every time I start listening to a study music track (Study Music Alpha Waves: Relaxing Studying Music, Brain Power, Focus Concentration Music ☯161) the beginning always reminds me of this. :)
I remember back in 2007 when they released the launch trailer. I hadn't heard of Mass Effect before that. I saw that amazingly epic trailer and went out and bought Mass Effect having no idea what to expect. Popped it in my disc tray and they first thing I heard was this. I'm not sure why but I knew this game was something different than the rest, and I couldn't have been more correct. Despite that terrible ending Mass Effect is still the most epic franchise to come out this generation.
This was always the iconic Mass Effect song for me. Not just because it was the original menu song, but because of the associations it holds for me with its namesake.
The first time I heard this, in the menu screen for ME1... man... I had no fucking idea what I was in for. I've only just finished the second game and I'm itching to play the third. º-º
This sound SO much like Carl Sagan's Cosmos. It's amazing how they translated the beauty, vastness and mysteriousness of space in one song. Damn, I love Mass Effect 1. Fuck you EA, for fucking up the other 2 games!
Ah, Vigil. When I first heard it, I thought, "hey, this kind of sounds like the Zangarmarsh music." Now, when I hear the Zangarmarsh music, I think "hey, this is the Mass Effect music."
I first heard this and called it A Galaxy at Peace. I played the second game first then watched scenes from the third. When you brought peace to the quarians and geth this played and it seemed like all was right with the world. That should have affected the ending somehow...
This song would have a better emotional impact if they didn't play it every single time you see someone from ME1 in ME2. It would've worked so well if they didn't overuse it.

MOOORDDIIINNNNN
LEGION!!!!!!
hazerddex ME 1 MAIN MENU!!!!!!!!!!!
Man.....ME1 just gave you the space feeling right off the bat. ME1 had this mysterious feeling and this made it feel so epic like you've arrived in paradise in space. Huge journey awaits!
This came out in a special time for video games. Like Civ IV as well: breathtaking, intricate, soulful main menu themes.
Going through the whole series again. It's LITERALLY impossible to not shed at least one tear while playing through. :-)

truth!
AzureTemplar totally agree with you sometimes renegade just feels the right thing to do. But hell no I can go renegade true the hole game. I always do paragon :)
tigerheart6 Totally agreed :)
Right in the feels.
Best. Series. Ever.
Also
Best. Video Game. Music. Ever.
I nearly cried when Liara was saying her goodbyes before the final mission and this song started playing.
Just thinking that space exploration is sooooo faaaaar awaaaayyy makes me incredibly sad and this song just reminds me the wonders of vast unexplored void with adventures and exploration never know to men.i always cry of desperation when i hear this. Its just so beautiful...

+PressAForStupidity What about the galaxy map music? That's also pretty consistent! But yes you have a good point!
@Malcolm Anderson Are they in again?
Wrex: "Shepard! My friend"
This song makes me nostalgic for a time when Bioware wasn't shit.
Jackald sigh, wished Andromeda was as good as the trilogy
@@yunusyilmaz144 Fucking Amen. I'm still angry
I've just completed ME for the first time and currently playing through ME2

The first time this song hit me was on rannoch in ME3 during tali's reclaimation scene. I cant hear this without tearing up. Thank you.
Glad I'm not the only one why gets teary eyed when hearing this in ME3. :-)
Best music of all Mass Effect Saga

If space is infinite... Star Wars in the FUTURE! :D Imagine what Star wars would look like in it's future.
For all we know, space is not infinite. Although it's hard not to agree on the rest...
but how does one know what he can't see/detect? Light has only gone so far.
Rustin C. Haase because for it to be "infinite" it would either to be infinite old or spread at an infinite speed, neither of which is possible

R 4 razz 4
Legion: Shephard commander i most go to them its the only way im sorry
Tali: Legion, the answer to your question is yes...
feco91 what question
SpaceShuttle_Destroyer "Does this unit have a soul?"
feco91 Yes, yes it does.
Liara : It seems one thing that had changed, Legion sacrificed himself for us, for the galaxies, for the millions of lives praying for survival. He said "I" instead of "WE" before he gave his life. His sacrifice would not go in vain.
And this music in background
Remember when Prothens weren't a bloodthirsty empire conquering whole galaxy? Vigil remembers.
When it was easy to see why the Hanar worshipped them as Gods... Have to admit though, places like Feros and Ilos were just breathtaking.
Remember when they weren't on-disk DLC?
One of the best series or games ever. Its been an emotional ride. This music appears in every game just at the right moment, pure genius. For me this music is mass effect and also provides a good soundtrack to our universe . Thanks bio ware until next time

Wololo I Un 100w never forget his sacrifice

This is the song use to eat in let the intro just play brings back memories

Very nice. Lovin' it. Thank you!
So wonderfully ethereal.
This was always the iconic Mass Effect song for me. Not just because it was the original menu song, but because of the associations it holds for me with its namesake.
I love this song! I like listening to it while standing outside in the cold winter nights looking up at the northern lights dance in the night sky.
the feels
Mmm, the nostalgia.
Oh well, thaks to you i need to play through the hole series again.
4th time ;D
Video is too epic for words.
The first time I heard this, in the menu screen for ME1... man... I had no fucking idea what I was in for.

Legion :c
How could anyone possibly dislike this?
The sound quality?
You're right bro.
is it odd that I want this played at my funeral?
Wie sehr ich die Normandie vermisse
Somehow reminds me of Battlestar Galactica.. Oh the memories.
I first heard this and called it A Galaxy at Peace. I played the second game first then watched scenes from the third. When you brought peace to the quarians and geth this played and it seemed like all was right with the world. That should have affected the ending somehow...
I could die to this song right now
i SHOULD go
Taliiiiii
This brings me back to before Bioware was owned by EA.
What ME could have been, if only EA didn't intervene.
This is the song set to play on the day of my marriage. :')
I think I heard it on tuchanka in mass effect 3...
Vigilandalah
cool
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it ^_^
This is also Tali's theme.
There's something here.
one more story
This song would have a better emotional impact if they didn't play it every single time you see someone from ME1 in ME2. It would've worked so well if they didn't overuse it.
Leaving earth is better imo.
Nothing wrong with dying happy. ;)
I know! What gives?! :-D
Wish Andromeda had wpic music loke this in it. Tjesoundrtrack sucked. No memorable tracks like this one.
This sound SO much like Carl Sagan's Cosmos. It's amazing how they translated the beauty, vastness and mysteriousness of space in one song. Damn, I love Mass Effect 1. Fuck you EA, for fucking up the other 2 games!
They didn't fuck up the other 2 games. ME2 was really great, and ME3 was really great too, except for the ending. Plus, EDI.
2 is my favorite.
Yeah ME2 is not bad, not even remotely. Just a little more watered down, at some parts.
ME2 was awrite... darker but a bit more shallow. ME3 was ok, but too targeted to teenage childish gamers
