Yusif Eyvazov is the one who stood up: Yusif is one of the most sought-after tenors requested to perform. You will find him on the best operatic stages across the world. He is also married to opera star Anna Netrebko, a tremendous talent herself.
All these judges commented on Diana's performance here and Yusif told Diana he has traveled around the world and has heard many talented singers, but he never has heard anyone blessed with such a phenomenal voice like she has.
That is high praise; Diana is a rare talent that we are honored to witness.
The stood up guy is a guest judge- world known opera singer, the other guy ,sitting with that face ...is another participant of the show, very good singer by the way.Thank you!

I am not a professional anything, but I have never heard of anyone else taking that vocal quality up passed the flip point of chest and head voice. I have heard her sing several times before and always at that point she had to abandon that vocal style and sing in a conventional voice. If I am wrong please tell me. I have heard the Tuvan Throat Singers but they all stay down below that point where your voice must flip to the head voice. If you can point me in a direction where others may do what she is doing now I'd be grateful.
The only word I can think of is EPIC. I have to say I am moved to tears with this performance. I was not a big fan but her new ability to take this vocal quality everywhere has rendered any argument moot. She is now an artist to me and deserves all the accolades that she is getting.
I see this song playing over a movie climax of a global cataclysm or a global war. This arrangement is brilliant. And only a voice like Diana's could pull it off. It's like she is singing through a megaphone, but one hiding in her throat. Thank you Ken for you beautiful reaction.

Thank you very much for appreciating Diana's talent. Diana takes part in an adult show for the first time, where there are 8 other vocalists (except Diana). Of course, Diana is the decoration of this show. It should be noted that all participants have wonderfully staged mini-performances using VR technologies. Everything is colorful with good choreography. NTV employs professionals. 9 participants, 9 songs of different nominations, without a jury. The assessment is given by the participants themselves (from 2 to 9 points)and one invited guest (he can distribute his points at his discretion). This was Diana's first performance in the Grammy nomination. Diana raised the bar very high right away. There have already been 8 performances. Diana is different everywhere: somewhere her vocal talent is manifested, somewhere her artistry. I like everything Diana does! If you don't have the ability to make reactions, then look for yourself. Except that her mother abandoned her on a bus bench with a broken collar bone when Diana was a young child. She couldn’t even speak because of all the abuse she had suffered at the hands of her mother. A woman took her in and encouraged her to sing so she would start talking.

В тоже время уникальное природное владение горловым пением, вентрологией и полифонией. И если женщин, поющих в контральто мало, но они есть, то с таким диапазоном встретить практически невозможно. Ken, Diana has released a few more songs, such as "Oh,it's not yet evening", "Crow", "Mum, I'm dancing", "Twist on my sobriety", all of them are breathtaking!
Twist in my sobriety was too easy for her, but the other songs. One highlight after snother snd Crow is outstanding on Rechenka level.
My top 5 performances by Diana are....Can't help falling in love....Human.... Crow.....Wicked Game.....Blizzard.

“Can't Help Falling In Love” was written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss.
For me, it is not her low voice but the fact that she seems to generate a low tone and a simultaneous higher, coloring tone at the same time.
It makes the sound so full and rich.
Is that a real thing or is it just my older ears?
This is called polyphonic singing. And yes, she does.
Usually there are 2 higher notes. One is full octave, which gives more power and richness. Anothet is mid-octave, very decent but enough to give the mysterious touch.
Even more fascinating she can switch the polyphonic part on and off, which gives me goosebumps every time.
A very good explanation was given on the channel of "Miss Saiko", who is proud that Diana made friends with her - at least on instagram. Saiko is very special.

Had a chat lately wirh her. She is witty open-minded, multi-tslented and of course well-educated and smart.
Regarding her starting conditions in her home country she has gone a long way.
In this one there's some added backing vocals (Diana also did those), but she does do overtones.

Perhaps her best performance yet (and the full works - dancers included!). That guy standing up is a famous singer (opera I believe), internationally travelled, and had high praise for Diana.

yes and they took a lyric/ musical Sample and let Diana, her voice with her new vocal coach loose on it.😉😁 Result a mini fantasy Aria but what fun.
Dianas had to be pretty much self motivating and funding in her concerts outside state TV shows.
So its nice to see her get proffesional stage production ... they have been extensively using a non green screen enhanced VR system in this show and its been striking to even at times a bit OTT.. a bit like the dancers and yes its drawn Russian comments as well.
Meantime the girl has been doing quite well overall and has pulled a few good and brilliant interpretations out of the hat.. they are allocated song's to perform so it pushes everyone out of their normal choices.
The song Crow is totally different dark techno pop/gothic? but totally Diana and despite being last on again she pulled off a possibly wicked game/rechenka level performance.
Shes also just finished her first full album.
Well they will always use Delay on these shows, but yeah she's polyphonic naturally, which is enhanced live on the mixing board, but not entirely necessary to do. She's so amazing and her new vocal coach has really helped her expand her range again and access whatever she wants to do at any time, I am so excited for her next performances! [Crow might melt your mind, Ken! gotta react to it asap, please?]

The competition is still going and the rules are very unusual and different here is short summary:
NTV channel announces the launch of a new original music show "Show-mask-go-on". The heroes of the project are the favorite participants of popular NTV projects: "Mask", "You are super!" and "Superstar" who have won more than once and proven that they are the best.
The nine participants will also be the judges of the show.
The special feature of the new NTV show is that the jury will not be as such, the participants themselves will comment and assess the performance of the participants. At the end of each song, they have to give each other a grade on a scale of 2 to 9 points, while they cannot give the same score twice and vote on their own performance.
There will also be a guest star in each episode, who has the right to vote, while she/he will not be a full participant in the show.
In each episode, the contestants are offered 9 topics: one plays an anthem, for example, the second - a Song by a Grammy winner, the third - a rock hit, and so on. The winner shall be determined by the result of the vote. After the vote in the 9th program, the winner of the season is determined by the points total.
On stage of the project will be the winner of as well the second season as of the super season of the show " You are super!": Diana Ankudinova!!!

This was 1st Saturday episode. This week will be last. Diana does not compete, she has new experience, she tries new genres, she has new friends in showbusiness. And every time we saw incredible scene with new VR technology. 🙂💥❣❄🎼👍

Tommee Profitt did a version featuring artist: brooke. Released in 2019 he put it in minor key and this is based on that. Diana of course took it to the stratosphere, but listen to the Tommee Profitt version (Producer, Songwriter). I love this version and Diana. 😎

This isn't a talent competition per say, it's more of an entertainment show disguised as a singing contest, a one-time? spinoff of the Russian equivalent of Masked Singer (hence the name) show where most of the participants/judges, except for Diana Ankudinova, I believe, are coming from. One episode is left, which will determine the winner, although most people realize that the whole thing is not too serious. Even Diana herself stated so in no uncertain terms in one of her Instagram stories.

They are all singers in the role of judges while competing with each other, so no other judges just themselves...thats what I understood that this show is and some of them are mesmerised and some are thinking "what am I doing here, I'm a joke"
