Diana has such a voice by nature, her tongue is in a natural position, everything is clearly visible on the video. Swallowing your tongue won't help you if you're a soprano. This is probably the first thing you should have told subscribers about.

The guy who stood up was Azerbaijani Tenor Yusuf Eyvazov an Opera singer who is married to A Russian Soprano Anna Netrebko, all the other members of the panel are also famous singers, and the show is called, "The Show Must Go On" They all sing and judge each other performances and Diana Ankudinova at now 18 was invited to join them after winning the other singing competition. This performance of Can't Help Falling in Love was her first in front of the other singers and blew their minds. They said her performance made the bodies resonate from the beginning to the end of her performance.

Love your videos...and love your explanations and demos. I'm 80 years old and try not to be pervy about your just plain cuteness and humor. But I have to say that I especially appreciated your extraordinarily well thought out philosophical rant at the end of this video. I've watched it several times and continue to be impressed, because you can remove the word sing or singer from your mini lecture and insert anything: sport, hobby, job, relationship, etc., and the resultant of the discussion becomes the same. Use what you have to be the happiest and best that you can be. You inspire and impress me more with each video.

Hey, thanks for your reaction to our amazing Diana Ankudinova. She has had a lot of slack for the way she sings. Some people just do not like it. She has persevered. Personally I love her low rounded sound. That is what drew me to her as an artist. Thanks for encouraging people to use use what they have to their advantage in singing. Diana recently sang anther song, on the same show, called “CROW”. It is a cover and she really changed it up and did a fantastic job, and very different from anything she has done before. The song was ornamented by her ethnic abilities. You should try and react to that one next. Love you! Would love to react to more songs. Thanks for your knowledge.

It’s not just her voice that is awesome, but her confidence, her take on the covers, her background story, and her performance. It’s easy to forget how dialed in she is at an early age-then listening to her again you’re reminded how very good she is.

The world is full of people who work very hard to "conform" and not stand out at all. Often when they encounter people who refuse to do this then they tend to reject them quite aggressively. The funny thing is, these same people -- once they see that a sort of "critical mass" have accepted what they once rejected because it was so different they suddenly hop on the band-wagon and act like they had embraced it from the beginning. Now Diana is a juggernaut that has been lauded the world over then many will climb aboard her fan-club. Only those that haven't heard of her yet haven't. From what I've observed, it is the pro vocalists that recognize Diana's genius right away -- I've seen some reactions by non-vocalists/non-musicians that don't "get" her.

    • @capzerg
      @capzerg Рік тому +2

@@skepto-o-punk8286 I think that what people believe or like or not like should not influence at all what you like in any way, as what resonates with you its ok, if you just like it, it should be enough.
That little battle between fans and haters of bands or singers (most like sports) for me its kinda boring. Specially in art and music, where there's no competition at all, into expressing ourselves (and we shouldn't convert others to our music tastes). And I may say that non-musicians (I hate that expression because we are all truly musicians in diff ways) tend to praise virtuosity and voice tesituras or colors more than professional musicians that may enjoy just a cat playing the piano by accident.
After saying that, Diana's voice is a true anomaly, and as a contralto lover, im totally seduced by her tone and voice. I had the luck of living in a church attic in the middle of Manhattan where I was aiding into many opera auditions for the Lincoln Center where taking place. And I was surprised when hearing many unheard and anonymous singers, that blew my mind.
But this lady has a special passion in her voice, and we all want to know what she is up to. But I would really love that she takes her time and enjoys every step, and that nobody pushes her into any stress. Everything she does is magnificent and touches many hearts, that's so beautiful to see. Have a nice day.

I think it's a stylistic thing. Her voice is interesting and unusual but not something that particularly appeals to me. I am not saying she's not a good singer in her own way but it's just hard to listen to at times. I think maybe that is my Western ears or something maybe? No idea.

Interesting about Diana is that she was terribly abused by her birth mother and was mute when she was given to an orphanage around 4 yo I think; it was her muteness that led to her adoptive mother taking her to voice lessons. Her astounding voice is more than this, but it's something like a magical intersection between Cher and Linda Ronstadt (whom she favors a bit). She's straight up devastating!😮🙌🙌🙌

Hurray, what better Sunday treat than a new video of my favorite vocal coach reactor revisiting my favorite singer! Paradoxically, this super-insightful analysis of super-human vocal abilities is actually inspiring me to take some baby steps in learning to sing... less badly. I also want to add something else, which I haven't seen mentioned in the comments before. I find your ability to engage with your experiences fully at the visceral and intellectual levels at once to be inspirational in its own right. P.S. And I would be remiss not to join in the applause for your final comment. Important bit of wisdom, beautifully put. Brava, Lolli!

Diana is a measured dramatic contralto that can sing in polyphonic overtones with binaural sounds (alpha beta delta theta) that hypnotize and tickle the soul, her sound isn't made for radio it's for the big stage at this point, because none of us can sing along in the car, she's one in seven billion

I always enjoy watching your reactions of Diana. You really get the message across. She has 9 video from this competition show called the ShowMaskGoOn, all of them are in different genres but my most favorite of all these is a song called “Crow”. A very mystical song with 8 dancers dressed up as crows. She even sings two parts one in the middle and one at the end which is an Erie sound maybe of a crow caulking that will blow you away. As I said it’s now my most favorite. The song she does after this one is Personal Jesus. Thanks again for reacting to Diana!🙏🏼🌹💕

A co-worker of mine suggested I read the wikipedia account of Diana Ankudinova and then watch her perform this song and I cannot stop listening to this. This song is so hauntingly beautiful that it hurts. The emotional intensity in her eyes and voice is like nothing I have every experienced before. And, Fairy Voice Mother, your "reaction" video and explanation of how Diana uses her gift was so very informative. Thank you! Im late to the Diana party, but for me, what a gift of the new year. Fan for life.

The most beautiful voice of all time.
I'm so glad I am alive to hear this beautiful and perfectly talented woman.
I only wish I could hear her live, but I would embarrass myself when I burst into tears from emotional overload upon hearing perfection.
Seriously. I just burst into endlessly flowing tears just from how perfect her tone was and the emotion it elicited in me.
    Absolutely incredible.
Her performance on Dune made that sound hauntingly beautiful. All because of her.
