Thank you for doing a new Opeth song . Good music is good music regardless of the style . When they did Progressive death metal they had amazing songs . Now they do Progressive rock and they have amazing songs . Same song done by a different band and no one would complain . No true artist wants to do the same thing over and over .
This is their newest album and yes, it's really different from any of their past ones. I love how prog it is and the grand sound of it all. If you liked this one, you will like the other songs from it too!
I don’t feel that their new records are much different than their past. The only difference to me is the lack of growling. They’ve always been crazy prog.
The last album is really great, A ton of variety, you should listen to it :) I would suggest the song Lovelorn Crime or Universal Truth. The swedish version are nice, if you want to give them a try :) !
Did you know that they made also swedish version of this album. Do check the songs out after hearing this english version. It flows little bit different, but also so beautifull
Very cool. Off the latest album I would say Next of Kin and Heart in Hand (Hjärtat vet...) are my faves, so needless to say my vote is on Heart in Hand if you do another from that album. As for his clean singing, it's been getting better with each new album, to the point where it's great at this point, a far cry from the earliest albums (which had perfectly fine clean singing, but it didn't stand out like it does now). You should do Hjärtat Vet Vad Handen Gör from this same album. It is in swedish. Much more pure and folky than english language IMO. Nice reaction as always. Keep it up!

Completely agree. I think a band should grow and change over time.

Definitely a great pick, but I'm not sure if it makes sense to go for the Swedish version unless one is from Sweden (which incidentally I am, though).
