    Dude...there is no way i am watching a 2.5 hour video on a pedal i dont own or isnt going to buy. But...if i did own it, this would be a total lifesaver! Content like this is hugely appreciated by some of us. Even for the ones i am not going to watch myself, i am glad that they exist...pretty niche stuff at times, but extremely useful for the people who needs it. And even your shorter stuff gives a good impression of what a pedal actually can do, much better than many other more "fancy" or established channels. Anyway, just wanted to give a thumbs up for what you are doing, pretty awesome stuff man :)

      Awesome, you'll love them both. I did a similar tutorial on the Mercury X, but I'd suggest going through this one first to learn the layout, the second one is easier once you get the interface down. The editor for the LVX will be released in a month or two, but still worth learning the interface.

    Awesome video!!! For the tremolo effect, i think you dont even need to mess with the Volume pedal in the Amp section, the pre-level is always in the Modifiers destination list and thats simply the input level i believe

    Thank you for this in depth video! After reading the manual you still wouldn't learn all the details you have provided in this video! The LVX is a multi effects pedal !
    You can create great sounds without delay!
    Meris have just released an editor which will make creating new patches so much quicker.
    Cheers from Downunder 😂

    BTW does the "hold" modifier for delay feedback work like a "freeze" or infinite delay (e.g Eventide Rose)? As in, can you hit the footswitch and play over the hold signal without the live delay signal being at Max feedback? If so I must be doing something wrong.

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  Рік тому +1

      Hold is more like an expression control, but with the footswitch instead of an expressin pedal. It doesn't Freeze the sound so you can play overtop of it specificly. You would assign hold to control whatever you want, then set the time it takes to reach the maximum value when you press it, and the time it takes to go back to the minimum setting when you release it. You might be able to accomplish something similar to freeze with the looper, just setting it to not overdub while you play overtop of whatever is looping. There might be other ways to do it, but I can't think of them off the to of my head. If I find a way to do it other than that I'll reply here with the method.

    Amazing video - thank you! One area of confusion for me - in the lfo section - what do three steps or four steps up/down do? Are they using the first four steps of the sequencer and varying based on the lfo speed or something else entirely?

    • @joebowbeer
      @joebowbeer 3 місяці тому

      These are wave shapes. For example, 3 Steps Up and 4 Steps Up are stepped variations of Ramp Up.

  • @idaho_rex

    Is the sequencer only going to work with pitch shifting? I keep trying to get it to do anything, but i dont hear any changes? Your channel is the ONLY place i found anything regarding it.

    Great video, really useful reference. Question - how can I adjust the EQ of either my dry signal or repeats? I’m thinking it’s the parametric eq but not sure how to get the most of it

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  3 місяці тому

      Yes, parametric EQ would probably be the best. If you want it just on the delay stick it in the Pre location or the Feedback location. If you want it on the dry signal, stick it on the Pre+Dry location.

    One question: what is the difference between for example the LFO (or envelope,…) in the modifier section and the LFO (envelope…) in the expression pedal section? Is it the same?

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  9 місяців тому

      Thank you. They are the same. You are just setting the "expression pedal" to be controlled by the LFO instead of hooking up an actual expression pedal and using that. That can be done with any modifier.

    • @samtimmer3941
      @samtimmer3941 5 днів тому

      @@TriPedalReviews Ah, forgive me if you said this in your video, but this way it's possible to control multiple parameters with 1 LFO? That's pretty cool...

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  5 днів тому

      @@samtimmer3941 Yes it is, how you would do it is assign multiple parameters to the expression control, then assign the LFO to control the expression. You can do up to 7 parameters at once I believe.

  • @satherp5
    @satherp5 Рік тому

    How can you make a ducked delay? Whether on a new preset, or adding it to an existing one. I figured it would be attaching an envelope to the mix, but I can’t make it work. Any advice? Great video as always. Thanks!

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  Рік тому +3

      I believe you'd just do envelope, but reverse the values. Minimum at a higher percentage of mix, maximum at a lower percentage of mix. Thus when you play harder the mix gets lower, and when you stop playing the mix goes higher. I think you'd also need to make sure your initial mix was at the high value. I don't have time to play with it for a bit, but when I do, if you haven't figured it out, I'll report back how I did it.

    silly question: how do u bypass the pedal?

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  Рік тому +1

      You tap the same footswitch that is lit up. So if you have footswitch 2 on, you'd tap it again to bypass the pedal.

    I am looking for a programmable delay,....the question is: buy a strymon timeline in 2023? Or buy the meris. What do you think about lvx's capability of recreating vintage delays? or do all the sounds have some kind of high fidelity touch?
    Thank you!

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  Рік тому +1

      I wouldn't buy this one for vintage sounds. You'd be much happier with a Timeline in that regard. I suggest the LVX for anyone going for experimental sounds, soundscape type stuff, and it also has the best stereo spread of any pedal I've ever heard. It has little focus on nailing old vintage stuff though.

    Hello. Can the stutter mode of ottobit jr be recreated with lvx and if yes will ii give access to wet/ dry mix, which is not available in ottobit jr? Oh and can i reduce the sample rate in any patch i create, just on the wet signal and/ or the dry signals? Thank you

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  8 місяців тому

      Stutter is called Granular in this pedal and is in the Modulation section. Bit Crushing and Sample Rate Reduction is in the Preamp section (in one module). You have the ability to place these elements anywhere in the signal chain that you want. So if you only want them on the delay signal, you can do that, if you want them both on the dry signal, you can do that. If you want to separate them so one is on dry the other on the delay, you can do that. You can control the mix of the delay and dry signal. So if you want that control, you'd need to place the elements on the delay line.
      You can hear a bit of this in the preset showcase video I did.
