Hi vin Bit late commenting mate, that's decent shooting, new gun and i could hear the wind on the mike mate, as you say and as always, running in and more time with it, looking promising, for someone . Enjoyed that session vin, thanks for taking the time again. P. S, regarding the HW honk you mentioned, mate i reckon thats one of the reasons new owners turn to tuning so's to calm all that down, i know for a fact Tony Wall's tunes completely take that out, and possibly other tuners out there. Cheers again vin
Nice shooting Vin ...Qys did well, I'd be curious to see how barracuda 8's do in this gun. The laminate 97 is a gorgeous bit of kit although I can't stand that horrendous spring ponk. I'm saving for a ratworks tuned laminated 97, they do a lot of work on them, lightened piston, custom guides and top hat, uprated seals and re-worked trigger for £750, pretty good value imo.
Great shooting Vince 👍👍👍 The Hades do always shoot more or less bad out of my HW's but i've seen good results with PCP's. Especially hunting pellets should perform very well but i won't even think to use them on quarry with one of my springers at that range. To buy one more 97 because of the blue laminate would be insane unless you'll have a luxury problem, but the most of us guys own also way more airguns than we need 😬😅 I love good looking guns but i don't have them for hanging on the wall. As i mentioned before, i would rather buy one with a standard beech stock and and upgrade for a better scope for the price of laminate. Enjoyed your video my friend....Cheers!
@@rapalaron6348 yup I agree Ron. I'd get very nervous dinging the stock taking that one out hunting. At the end of the day my guns are tools to do a job first and foremost. However I can appreciate someone wanting to purchase this rifle as something to show off at the club or range 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Looks like a nice secluded permission, great to be able to put out some targets for rifle testing. No surprises with the accuracy, these rifles do perform very well. Thanks for sharing your time with the HW97K with us.
Excellent shooting again vin .I find the reticles on none glass scopes hard to pick out on a lot of subject materials until I start hunting properly I use the hikmicro 4 with range finder on 2 of my guns but I still thinking of going back to glass as you have no battery worries and don't have to move to turn on when you're prey turns up unexpected 😢thanks great video alan ps I know wind affects pellets but the other day in minus conditions for a few days my. 22 pellets point of impact dropped considerably from 20 yards on😢😢😂thanks again
No need to make any excuses for distance, windage or anything else for that matter, we can clearly see everything from your video evidence and can clearly hear that wind blustering in from time to time. Great video again and wow that rifle is accurate out the box but didn't really expect anything else which is what convinced me to buy a Weihrauch recently. I prefer a longer video as YT is my go to tv here. Cheers👍👍
Hi Vin, an interesting thing about the spring honk is that it attracts Pheasants. There is a game farm just down the road from my house and every time I shoot a Weihrauch the Roosters come looking for a fight. They're lucky my freezer is full. They're also fun to watch.
Nice shooting Vince. I have a brand new HW97KT with wood thumbhole stock and stainless steel action in 22 caliber, not a mark or smudge on it and in the box with all paper work and everything I bought it from Airguns of Arizona for 820 dollars and it only has 150 pellets through it. I own 3 PCPs and don't care for Springer like I thought so that's why I'm selling it for only 400 dollars half of what I paid 3 months ago. Would u be interested.
@@JohnVentarino-ey5ln hi John, the logistics and paperwork involved getting a rifle from overseas is a nightmare. As tempted as I am Ill have to pass my friend. Thankyou kindly for the offer though 👍👍👍👍👍
Great video again vin .👍Interesting. That you set the scope up with the qys, pellets And the result of them and the jsb where nearly identical, I was wondering if you had set the scope up using the jsb first the fired the qys if the result would of been the same, I'm thinking they probably would but this was just a thought I had, Funny how air gun shooting gets the mind thinking,🤔
@@clivewilson5258 hi buddy certainly food for thought. What never ceases to amaze me when pellet testing is the lateral dispersion. You would logically think once the scope has been zeroed provided there's no cant induced and it's mounted correctly inline with the bore you would only get vertical drift depending on pellet weight but just goes to show practice and theory are two different things. Always amazes me when I get pellets drift left or right and form a group off the vertical line 👍👍👍👍👍
Not the biggest fan of laminate but that stock is lovely. Great for a bench but would think twice for hunting. Especially walk up as blue doesn't crop up in nature too much. Would worry it may stick out to little furry eyes. Looks a nice sleek gun and performance to match. Very nice.
Hi Vin, you shot a different gun the other week or so ago and you mentioned that it didn't like the "SUPERDOMES" in .177, but really "Liked" them in .22 ! I expected at least 11ft lbs from it? am I expecting too much? Cheers
@@dingnextstop hi buddy congrats on your new rifle. I wouldn't worry to much at that fpe, you need to remember if it hasn't been shot much the power will creep up a little.
