I have the condition as well when I was a teenager in school I didn't have surgery it went away on its own I had it in both my breasts small one kind of embarrassing and gym class wearing t-shirts
I never even for a second thought I was a woman.
Body issues in adolescence might be 1 of several reasons as to why teens are changing genders. It's during this period when most every teen male or female is appalled about something they don't like regarding their physical body. I'm not aware of any data to support my argument, but has there been any cases of blind people from birth wanting to change genders? 🤔 Keep these reaction videos coming CE.
Interesting question! I would imagine there is no large scale statistical evidence controlling for those two variables, but I could see intuitively that blind people would at least have lower rates of gender dysphoria.
Out of curiosity, although some people could be incorrect and not actually feel this way, do you think that some trans adolescents transition because they truly identify more with another gender?
I think many of them do. But there could be deeper issues attached to feeling as if you are really the opposite sex. Maybe mental illness, abnormal hormone levels, etc. If they feel they need to embrace it and "transition" then so be it. Some have done that for a few years but then outgrew whatever it was and actually regret ever doing the hormones and surgeries.
At that point, which version of themselves got it right? The past version that said "Yes I need to transition" or the more recent version that says "I wish I'd never transitioned"?

@@mattr.1887 I would think that it varies. Some people who detransition even say that it was the right choice for them at the time, and they wouldn’t go back and change, like being in love but then eventually breaking up.
Are we actually talking about something that's provable? Or are we supposed to take a trans person's subjective feeling for the matter that may change back the next day. Perhaps we need something more objective, like a doctor's word for it based on peer reviewed methods of determination. What does it say on their driver's license?
To be clear, gynecomastia is due to an imbalance of hormones in men, or, overactive testosterone, which means overactive estrogen (which all men have)
It's a growth of breast tissue and mammary glands, due to a surplus of estrogen in males. At least, that's the way it was expressed to me by my surgeon... Getting the surgery done produced two chicken breast sized mammary glands hahaha after which I was flat chested, and just as he said, I no longer looked odd haha

We have been here before. We tried treating mental issues with surgery before. The surgery is called a lobotomy. It was disasterous.

Traumatized and confused people getting attention will act as a placebo, but the data seems to suggest continued treatment is needed to sustain the effect. Some have given up as money and results wear out.
Women who take testosterone will have to have their uterus removed from damage.
Lobotomies were voluntary for many. Not all were forced. But we really shouldnt perforn surgeries on a child who can't give informed consent.

That was a BS justification that she used, where she tried to use statistics that say it's because of people like Frank or the arguments made.
That's one way to take responsibility out of the individual's hands. It's essentially saying that because feelings got hurt, the person who hurt them is responsible for what they do next.
Be careful of letting someone just present statistics and research. If there's a question you can ask that's relevant to it, you should. And this goes for any side.
In Frank's case, the presentation that the rates didn't change was to show that surgery didn't affect the rate significantly enough to warrant having it.
It's because of people like Frank that the rates of depression or worse are so high for trans people.
Saying that it’s because “feelings got hurt” can be a bit of a reductive way to look at it. Like if you have a case where a teen girl’s peers call her a whale for being so fat, since that’s what she is (fat like a whale), then the girl might kill herself because her “feelings were hurt,” but it’s kind of more than just that too.

FYI: A male produces sperm and has a Y chromosome…(not necessarily simply a XY). A female produces eggs and has an X chromosome (not necessarily simply XX…but NEVER a Y chromosome).

I think Frank should have been more direct and honest and confessed that that extra breast tissue thing that he had in youth, did literally bother him because he is a man yet his breast looks like a female breast, and people, if you are healthy, that should make you feel uncomfortable because a man should desire to look like man and if you have some issue like Frank had which is easily removable, then do it without any shame or guilt.
It is not a problem to desire to look like the gender you are born, it is a problem if you desire to look like a gender you were not born.

She nailed it, exceptions makes the rule since christians claim sex is objective male or female in gods creation.
See this is where I take issue with this. There are other chromosomal arrangements that franky boy and others like him refuse to acknowledge. Gender is and always has been a social construct made by us to determine your role in society based on your apparent sex. And I say apparent because these chromosomal arrangements can be expressed differently and make it quite difficult to determine what you are. Now yes this is kind of rare but it's more common than people think.

It's absolutely related to God and design, also having a response to secular confusion about intentionality of design. He doesn't need to be a biologist to discuss common personhood issues, identity, exc. Appeal to authority doesn't work in concepts this basic. You haven't addressed any of his points.
