Fun fact: the shadow broker will have a comment about any squadmates you bring with you. Here's some of them. Miranda - glad you brought Miss Lawson. Her death will surely weaken the Illusive Man. Jacob - same thing. Jack - glad you brought Subject Zero. Her body worths twice as much as Shepard's. Garrus - good thing you brought Artangel, the bounty on him is unclaimed. Grunt - glad you brought Okeer's latest project, dissenting him will be interesting. Thane - good thing you brought Mister Krios, I be sure to give his son my regards. Kasumi - good thing you brought Ms Goto, the grey box in her possession is priceless. Mordin - good thing you brought professor Solus, the krogan will pay a bounty for any STG members. Those are the ones I remember 😅.
I misread your video title at first, I thought it said "fisting the shadow broker", and I wondered why I never had that option in all of my plays through. 😉
"What the hell is that?"..blue floating ball: Liara's singularity (also in the first game). You have one too. Very useful for crowd control of unshielded / unarmoured enemies. Makes them float in place, but even better when you hit a floating enemy with warp it causes a big explosion damaging nearby enemies. One of the best combos you can do. Singularity once levelled up enough has a short enough cooldown that you can do the combo by yourself, no need for any other biotic on the team. There are other good combos to discover, it's best done by actively managing squadmate powers
"The bar is set pretty... In hell" LOL. Some of the battles in this game can be a little long, but the story is really good. Awesome job Femke 😊 I love 'tunderstorms' as long as they're not TOO close 🤣
I don’t mind the battles usually, but compared to other locations we’ve had fights this one was lacking imo. We could’ve had a fight inside the ship (when they talked about the ship builders), maybe a bunch of guards around Feron in the room where they’ve held him? Or maybe more variety in enemies on top of the ship, like in the end of ME1 where you have to take out big guns. 🤔 I’m being critical though bc the devs have set the standards HIGH. 😂 I know for a fact they could’ve gotten more creative with this little sequence here, but aside from that I loved it! Mostly bc Liara joined us though, just like old times. 🥹
Oh and regarding the thunderstorms; I hate them bc of the unexpected loud sounds they make. 😭 I *hate* loud sounds that come unexpectedly. I also don’t like fireworks for this reason. What’s also had a big influence is that when I was in high school there were two girls from a nearby high school (friends from a friend) that died from being hit by thunder. They were sitting under a tree, and a random lightning strike (there was no thunder storm) hit the tree they were sitting under. They died on the spot and it made the news. Definitely added to my irrational fear.
@@fififemke As an electrical engineer I'm fascinated by lightning, but fear of electricity is very rational and probably much safer than trying to touch it 😁
Gamer mice are sometimes a mixed blessing. The number of times I have flipped between web-pages because I accidentally nudged one , I can't even tell you. If it helps at all, the people who get hit by lightning strikes most often are golfers. You don't seem like a golfer to me, so I'm sure the stuff will never bother you. I know what you mean about making the battlefield visually engaging, but remember that war is generally slogging through miles and miles of beige or green terrain with nothing to look at.. From the incredibly short amount of time I spent researching, I can tell you that Faron is a Drell, and the Shadow Broker is a Yahg. (as Liara said).. which sounds like a cheese to me. Apparently, he's from the planet Parnack, and all his type are big and scary. A great episode, and clearly a very important quest. Look at everything you've unlocked.
Gamer mice are awesome for games with lots of skills/skill bars, otherwise they’re a curse. 😭 Hey, Band of Brothers managed to make these boring war sites look cool, so the ME team can do it too. 😂 Thank you for the lore and your kind comment as always! ❤️
Hi Fififemke! Ferron is a Drell, his species was almost wiped out by natural disaster on his homeworld, save for a small percentage rescued by the Hanar, (hence their use of ocean themed religious imagery.) They remain extremely grateful to the Hanar for saving them from extinction, and many volunteer for lifelong service to the Hanar in roles that the Hanar are physically unsuited for. On Illium you still haven't met the Drell assassin crewmate who very quickly becomes the object of many female gamers affections. While I'm delivering spoilers, this is not the only occasion you will meet a Yahg, watch out for one on Sur'Kesh, the Salarian homeworld in ME:3. You are now a Mass Effect veteran, and don't need armchair backseating any more. BTW I'm very sorry my membership has expired, my flatmate borrowed £130 on the promise of full repayment a week ago. He also promised everything was booked for our move to Bolton on Monday - which hasn't happened yet.
My heart is full now that you’ve called me an ME Veteran. I shall put it on my CV. Thank you for giving me the Hanar lore, it’s super interesting! And if you apologize one more time for not being able to afford a membership I will personally come to your home to tell you in your face that I appreciate your support, ALSO when you’re NOT paying for it! 😂 So excited to hear you’re finally moving on Monday, you must be both elated and grumpy bc moving suuuucks so much. 😭 Wishing you the best of luck and I hope all goes smoothly! ❤️ FYI: Everytime you say you’re moving to Bolton I think of Michael Bolton lol.
31:23 Pffffft lol. Okay that one made me laugh out loud. Were you raised with bunch of brothers? You have the same type of humor as my male friend group growing up 😂 And yeah, traversing the ship is mega boring.

Forgive me for not checking all of your videos but is this your first playthrough? Just start started my maybe 100th playthrough of the trilogy few hours ago. This mission is really well done and memorable. Hope you'll have a great time with rest of the trilogy :)
Yes it is! First time I ever heard of this game was when a viewer suggested it to me. 😂 I’m absolutely in love with the game thus far. I’m coincidentally filming more ME tonight! 😄

Omg thank you so much for letting me know! I already suspected it may have been a “personal” remark as it was so specific. Pinning this!
"We could have had something. And I threw it away for Kaidan" Definition of a tragedy right there
I’ll never forgive myself

LOOOL you know what, my mind went there as well, but I didn’t expect other people’s minds to be as depraved as mine 😂
Hey Fifi! Nice play! Liara is so funny in her DLC with her silly replies!! I like the banter!
I love when you just look at the camera when you die. It's a look and a feeling I often have when I die in a video game too. So funny. 😂
It’s my own personal “The Office” moment 💃🏼
