To be fair, Cerberus really undervalued Legions selling prize. I mean... 50k!? Are you kidding me!? That’s just enough to buy some fish on the citadelll
Bringing Tali to confront the Shadow Broker feels like a call-back to when you first meet her. Even knowing how Garrus jokes about the escaped Yahg in _Mass Effect 3_ saying "T'soni", you can still headcanon that Tali recorded the conversation here and shared it with him.
Is always so amazing how the SB knows all about your crew, specially about Morinth who is very carefull about her involment in the crew with Shepard, and even Kasumi who is pretty mysterious about herself, and yet even with such information and how clever he is he was kill and let Liara run her operation with so little effort xD he was very cocky, that was his worst weakness
To be fair, Kasumi is actually pretty bad at keeping her identity or intentions a secret. She literally talks with you via a billboard in plain view of everyone on the Zakera ward and not just that, she talks about her identity and her intentions and if that wasn't enough, she even shows up in person at the end and loudly proclaims where she's going next. During her loyalty mission, she tries to wear an obvious thief-outfit to a black tie event and during the events of the Citadel DLC, she loudly explains her plan of robbing a casino on the main staircase of said casino and riggs all the machines in plain view of the security guards in the main hall.
You earned a sub. I cannot believe they took that line out at 0:51 Such a renegade, pragmatic thing for Shep to say. Always thought it was funny Tali was the only squaddie SB didn't show any respect for
I'd guess it was cut for one of three reasons: 1) Shepard already knows that the Shadow Broker is working with the Collectors. I can't remember exactly when the link between the Collectors and the Reapers was established, but I think it's before you have access to this mission, so it might have been fruitless to expect him to do anything in our interests about the oncoming threat. 2) While the mission against the Collectors (and ultimately the Reapers) is Shepard's main goal, it's not directly related to why they're here now. They're on the ship to save Feron, and they're in the Shadow Broker's office to shut off the power to his cell. Paragon Shepard's response to me reads as an inevitable consequence rather than the reason they're up against him now, though it does still hold weight given that he did try to sell their body to the Collectors. 3) Renegade Shepard doesn't tend to show a disdain for torture in other scenes. Whether it's Jack's recruitment, Thane's loyalty mission, or the Overlord DLC, Shepard can be either dismissive or see it as a means to an end. Granted, Feron's torture here is explicitly punitive in nature and the Shadow Broker doesn't stand to gain anything from it, so that could be the stance they're taking. That being said, being a Renegade is about getting the job done by any means necessary, so a Shepard who's willing to work with The Illusive Man wouldn't turn away from whatever the Shadow Broker could offer. The information that the he has would be invaluable to the mission, whether he gives it willingly or not.
I love all the lines they gave the shadow broker for all the different squadmates you can bring. I'm surprised they even accounted for if you completed their loyalty missions or not for some of them and your choices on them. It's also interesting that the broker seems to know Morinth. Is this the only mention or Morinth other than the lines she has on Tuchanka?
I know EDI mentions Morinth if you pick her as the escort during the Suicide mission. I haven't heard it in-game yet, but squadmates also have lines for when she falls in combat.
@vadimkiruhin1226 I guess it's technically a mod, but one that I quickly threw together for a video and not something I would feel confident sharing on the Nexus haha. Finding bits of hidden dialogue is probably the most fun part for me at this point, having played through the trilogy countless times.

Everyone: Un-cocks their guns.

Funny how the writers didn't have any idea how to write cool things about Jacob so they just replaced it with Miranda's line LOL
"Their deaths will cripple Cerberus."
*Press X to doubt*
@@Jedi_Spartan Miranda dying would cripple Cerberus, I can believe that...but Jacob? Nah, that's just trash-talking.
@@thecircleoft.e.d2121 yeah, the comment was in reference to Jacob.
@@Jedi_Spartan I noticed.

The Shadow Broker wanted Tali dead, even after she would've handed over the evidence against Saren, so I don't view that confrontation so humorously.

I never thought it was humorous, just significant.
“There goes the next Shadow Broker!”
“That’s not funny!”
lol
The Shadow Broker theme is awesome.
