They are quite handy. Just make sure you have an inkine filter on the end of the lance. The nozzles can block up quite easily, especially the suttners. I switched my nozzles to PA as I went through 3 suttners due to them getting grit in them and seizing up.

Dont know if you have come across this but I cleaned a block paved drive and everthing looked fine,all blocks looked super clean. I went back to sand it and noticed a good number of the joints werent clear,I couldnt even scrape them out with a knife blade the remaining filling was concrete hard. Turns out the drive over the years has had numerous coats of weed suppressant and sealant applied making it set hard, no way my turbo nozzle would shift it

Hi Phil, I know this video is somewhat outdated with regards to your current setup, but I'm looking to branch out in my cleaning services, (currently reach n wash window cleaner), and I actually enjoy pressure washing, when it comes my way. So, I have just purchased a 200 bar, 15 lpm, Honda GX340 engine with a WS201 Interpump pump and I pick it up on Thursday 4th. It apparently has a single 045 nozzle fitted as standard. There are a couple of questions I'd like your opinion on if I may: 1. If I were to purchase one of these twin lances, if I up the nozzle size to 050, then split it to 2 x 025, will this machine likely be just about adequate to make use of it? 2. It has an unloader fitted but I can't see from the images if it's "back to tank" or "back to pump". Which in your opinion is better to have? I know it's quite simple to modify from one to the other and I'd rather not have water flowing all over the floor needlessly, (b2t scenario), unless that's more effective/less strain on the pump. Your musing O sage ;) Also, having looked at the specs pdf of the Falch Pointspeed 5, it would appear that this machines spec is "base" requirements to power that. I know I'm just a pleb, starting out on the road to Pressure Washing Perfection, but could you clarify that I'm correct in those details? Hey OTC, yes you could use 2 x 025 turbos, you will loose a bit of pressure though because of the increased nozzles size. The machine would power it but it may struggle on tough areas. My machine looses about 50bar pump pressure when using the twin or surface cleaner, a bit more over the increased hose distance (new video coming soon showing/explaining pressure drop over hose length) A return to tank unloader is better as a return to pump simply circulates the water through the pump which heats up pretty quick. Letting a return to pump unloader idle for more than a couple of minutes causes excessive heat. A return to tank eliminates this as it's a constant supply of cold water. The return feed should go back into your tank or water butt to avoid wasting water. Even when your on the trigger some unloaders will still feed back a small amount of water. Draining this anywhere apart from Into a tank would waste water, meaning your tank would be draining when your off the trigger rather than filling/looping. The falch nozzle wouldn't work on your machine, the minimum they jet for is 200bar at 16lpm but I highly doubt they would sell you one, they are quite fussy about who gets one in regards to machine spec. A few people I've spoke to have tried contacting falch with slightly lower spec machines and they simply won't sell them. Make sure if you buy a twin turbo setup that you use inline filters, due to the really small nozzle jets they can get blocked real easy. I've had a few issues when using mine on 030 nozzles. TBH, I think I might just stick with a single turbo lance and small surface cleaner for now. michael kilner I use a chemical nozzle with a 3/8 adapter which fits into my quick release coupling on the end of my hose. I show it in my other video on business start up equipment.
naveed khan you shouldn't be sanding same day anyway. I can't see how block pave will dry out sufficiently between the joints in couple hours to be able to sand. I always go back the day after if weather is ok. I don't take payment until jobs done. if the joints are damp the sand won't drop in fully. then when it does dry the sand will drop causing missed/open joints.
Hi, well knowing companies who push their washers it won't be 4000psi continuous pressure. (Components that need to hold over 250bar 3600psi working pressure, jump dramatically in price)That's more than likely a surge pressure rather than working pressure. You would probably be looking more like 3600psi continuous, which is what you need to know when buying any accessory if you want it to work properly. Using the over-inflated figures they give will result in you ordering too small a nozzle and then you won't get the full performance of your machine. I don't think you could run a twin nozzle effectively on your washer simply because I don't think they make the nozzle size small enough. From the charts and based on 3600psi at 4gpm your std nozzle would be an 04 you then split that in half so you would run 2x 02 nozzles. I don't believe Suttner makes them that small, I have a feeling they start at a size 03. This would mean you won't get full pressure as you would effectively be running the equivalent of an 06 nozzle jet. You could possibly find Chinese made nozzles that are that small, however, you made end up with the nozzles blocking up and not running in sync. I now run a custom-made washer with a 25hp honda igx800, 350bar (5076psi) running 23lpm (6gpm).
Applying a strong hypo before cleaning and leaving to work for a hour can soften the moss. The problem you will have with mossy tarmac is that it eats the surface. After you have jet washed it off it will leave the surface all rough and pitted because the moss seems to destroy it. Surface moss will be OK but heavy moss is destructive. A decent washer will shift it and then a 50/50 hypo mix after can help kill off any remaining residue and help keep it clear. Make sure to rinse the hypo off really well as it can dry out quite powdery and is very noticeable on black areas. Some people pre treat with a milder biocide about a week before and let that kill it off before jet washing. Problem is this adds to the time. I rarely use hypo on tarmac as rarely shows much difference. It can help remove stubborn dirt making your job a bit easier. Ultimately I suppose it depends how big the area is. If the customer wants proper wow factor from the clean, use a tarmac restorer/sealer. Puts the black back in and makes it look new. Phill
Love it Phil 👌🏻my gun has a M22 female inlet, I believe the thread on that lance is 1/4 male BSP. How can I make the 2 fit each other mate ? Im a newbie, done a few jobs now so upgrading my equipment but the fittings are what I struggle with.
I use quick release fittings, nearly all std guns have a 1/4" outlet from the gun. The M22 inlet (hose to trigger) will just be a conversion piece as most guns internally are 1/4". If you have a removable Lance you can adapt it otherwise you'll either need a new trigger or components to adapt. If you want to send me a picture of your trigger I may be able to help further. mikael master no there is no protective coating on stones. Any coating applied to block paving is done after its laid but is rarely done. If the driveway was sealed you wouldnt nees to use a tool like this and it shouldnt have anywhere near the muck in the joint line.

I rarely use this tool now as I have a falch PS5 but my washer is 250bar @ 23lpm. I think the smallest nozzle size available is an 025 which would equate to an 050 STD nozzle. You will need to know the max continuous operating pressure and the flow rate. Phill

Matt Murphy hi matt, i think your machine is too underpowered to run one of these double turbos. Do you know what nozzle size yours uses? The whirlaway may be an option but i would think youll have striping issues as you will be splitting your pressure and flow between the 2 nozzles. You would need to move quite slowly with the whirlaway. You may be ok with a small 12" one, but anything biggee may lack umph! I would say on your machine for the best overall clean a single turbo would be best. Phill

Matt Murphy hmm to really be able to use proper nozzles and attachments you ideally looking at something around 18lpm, 16lpm min. 200-250bar. Something like that which is suitable for professional heavy usage will be somewhere around £1600 - £2000 plus other gear like water tank, garden hoses, ball cock valve, additional high pressure hose etc etc. A lot of these small machines carry small print in there literature, which normally reads "not for continous or professional use". It really depends how serious you want to take it, a small washer will do the job but a bigger one will do it better and quicker.

Are the nozzles jetted according to your machine? The problem with twin turbos is that your effectively halving the power output into the 2 nozzles. I have had people ask me about jetting for Clarke washers bit I don't think the power output is overly high, this meaning you may not be able to get nozzles small enough. Your lance may have been supplied with the smallest nozzles available which may actually be too big. This will give full water flow but at a reduced pressure. If you let me know what make model your washer is I can check what nozzles it should have. Phill

Hi it really depends on the pressure and flow of your machine. In honesty I doubt your machine will power one as the smallest nozzle sizes you can get for it are an 030. It will work to a degree but it probably won't be very powerful.
@@thedalz5308 single turbo probably not an issue. The 160 engine I don't think will produce massive pressure or flow rate so I think you may be out of luck with this one. All the best.
Nothing wrong with diesel all be it a bit smelly lol. Not enough info on belt driven systems to be honest, I'm a bit jubious about reliability due to the nature of the work and environment. Interpump the leading pump manufacturer doesn't produce a belt drive system for the washer pumps and they are having warranty wars with people fitting belt drives to there pumps and then trying to claim when something goes wrong.

Paul Shakeshaft I don't know what to recommend to be fair. It all depends on your budget. you could get a reasonable start up washer for around £1200 but it probably won't be high power. my washer alone was £3000. ideally look for a good solid engine by either Briggs and Stratton or Honda. Pump wise the leading brand is interpump, they also do gearboxes.
Carl Bishop it will all depend on what your nozzle size is. anybody wanting to hook you up will need to know size. take nozzle out of your lance and it should be written on the side. you may even be able to see it without removing it. will be 5/6 digit number.

Carl Bishop it's a 400L ecosure I think it is. cost around £250. they are big though, make sure you measure your vehicle and don't forget the max payload of van.
im guessing you must lose a certain amount of pressure using all them extra filters, cos you'll have one in the water tank and on the pressure washer as well, looks like you're getting through 2 square metres a minute so it don't really matter
It needs to be fairly high powered as these nozzles are only available in a size 030 and higher. I would say it would need to be running at least 16lpm.
Personally I don't rate them, yes they can be quick on the right surface. They struggle with weeds and heavy moss on block paving. I have one on the van but rarely use it as you end up going back over the bits it's missed with a lance. Also depending on the power of the machine it's used with will ultimately stipulate how well it cleans. Because the surface cleaners have 2 sometimes 3 nozzles the power and flow of your machine is split between them. Phill

jason hoyes hi jason, i have done couple jobs with grafitti. Problem is a normal jet wash wont shift it. I hit it with 250bar and it barely removes it. You will nees to apply a grafitti removal product or sometimes utilising a sandblaster attachment will help. All really depends on what type of surface its on, the type of paint that was used and also how long its been on the wall. The council normally donthe proper grafitti removal as it involves serious pressure and sometimes hot water. On some occasions it can damage the stone, but thats the price you pay to remove it. Phill

jason hoyes no worries. You would be looking at a washer of 250+bar to shift grafitti. More than likely around 500bar to push it as a reliable service, anything more than 250bar is too much for driveways.
Using the side by side motion seems to negate the benefit of the double turbo nozzle, does it not? Couldn't you cover much more area if you were to rotate the assembly by 90 degrees?
You can but the pressure of the lance and the spinning of the water wants to pull the lance sideways which is more uncomfortable than it pulling forward.
@Neil Moye if its fitted with a K1 unloader then unless you have a pressure gauge fitted or you know how to adjust it I would leave it be. The evo 2 washers don't react to a great deal of throttle adjustment as the motors aren't overly big. The motors like to be high up in the revs to keep the engine happy. The best way to reduce pressure is by using larger size nozzles. If your washers only running 200bar then you won't be needing massive drops. A surface cleaner will need full power to run on that.
@@DirtyDriveAway Thanks for your advice. It's interesting. Its a 390cc 21 litres per minute machine. To clean decking it will need to be turned down a bit I think. You are not far from me. @Neil Moye yes decking needs much lower pressure, usually around 140-150bar. Too much and it will shred the wood. The problem with the 390 engines is that they don't like too much alternation on revs, as the motor is only just powerful enogh for the pump. I would drop the revs a smidge and fit a larger nozzle with a wide angle for decking. Something around a 40-65degree and a size 08, if you have a K1 unloader fitted to your machine I would chuck a pressure gauge in it to monitor pressure. Problem with decking is once you've cleaned it, it needs treating. It will go grey really quickly if not treated.
It all depends on your std nozzle size as it will need to be split. The smallest size turbo they supply is on 030 so your std nozzle size will need to be an 060 or larger for it to work properly.
2 totally different tools with totally different prices. I dont use my twin nozzle anymore because I have the falch. But a twin nozzle is about £145 and a falch £1700. Falch won't sell to everyone and it highly depends on your machine.

@@darrenwatters3054 its not as outright powerful as a single nozzle but its quicker. Your dealing with 4 nozzle jets on the falch as opposed to just 1 on a turbo. When you have heavy weeds the falch will struggle to cut through them, but anything else its way quicker than a single turbo. They are great tools but expensive to buy and maintain, a service on the falch is around £400. If your running 250bar then it will work fine, anything less and it really won't do it justice. You need to use the falch on full power to get it to spin up properly. I love mine and its my go to tool, but they are over priced. Its a 500bar nozzle so its not really designed to be used on 250bar machines, but it does work. If your running the same spec as me 250bar @ 23lpm then that's fine.

its not uncommon for a supplier to just send out a lance assembly and not jet them correctly. wrong size or worn nozzles are the biggest cause of performance issues. I wouldnt be surprised if your nozzles are too big, if they are suttners they will have a colour cap on the end. If you not sure on its size just let me know the colour.
It will but not very well. The smallest available turbo nozzle is a size 030 meaning that fitting 2 of those would equate to a size 060 std nozzle. Since you say you have 150bar at 13lpm it means that the nozzles will be too big. If you did use it you wouldn't be getting full pressure so in honesty it's not worth it. Even if the nozzle size was available you would be splitting the 150bar between 2 nozzles giving roughly 75 per nozzle. That really won't do a lot.
Difficult to say really, I carry 400L onboard. I would say an average drive is about 1300L. I don't tend to monitor it as the customers have never asked.

Most black stuff be it lichen or fungus will usually require some sort of biocide in order to kill it off. Simple pressure washing may remove some but without some form of treatment it usually comes back. Think of it as athlete's foot for stone, if you don't treat it then it won't really go away. Even a turbo nozzle and serious pressure rarely removes lichen spores. Have a look at some of my other videos on how to shift them but yes unfortunately it will require biocide (bleach)
I need to find a dual headed lance to fit fan tips, 15 or 25 degree. Turbo nozzles are just terrible. You can't pressure wash near as fast with them as you can with a standard fan tip, doesn't do as good of a job either. I don't know why people are so persistent with using them.
iiR34CTIONZz. Not too sure what turbo nozzles you have used or what size nozzle you have but all the turbos i have used give a much quicker clean than a fan nozzle on block paving. Fan nozzles are great on everything else, but i just find they lack the umph on block paving, especially if using 25degree, 10-15 you could get a fair clean. If you go for a double fan nozzle you will be halving your nozzle size so effectively reducing the power of a single by 2. You can buy these lances without the turbos and fit conventional nozzles on the end, but if you wanted that then your best off using a rotary surface cleaner as technically thats the same but it spins too. What spec machine are you using. Phill
iiR34CTIONZz ok so thats 16lpm in UK. So your probably using an 04 nozzle? I doubt you could use 2 turbos on that power anyway as they are too small/low power.
I use 15040 and 25045 tips. If I used two tips on one gun I would just need two 15025, the loss in pressure would not be so significant that it wouldn't clean properly. Really, you can pressure wash most concrete surfaces with around 3200psi. Eventually I will be getting a 3500psi pump with 5.5gpm. For most commercial and residential jobs anything over 4000psi really isn't necessary.
iiR34CTIONZz you can buy those twin lances on ebay. The guy i use is in the UK. The lance is made by suttner but it has a bent end so this may hinder how you would use it with twin fans. You may be able to source one locally to you.

I got the lance from a co. called Qwashers on eBay stores.ebay.co.uk/qwashers?_rdc=1, I've used them many a time, they only deal in washer parts. Top guys but always mental busy on the phone. Same company should be able to hook you up with inline filters. If not just search pressure washer inline filter. Because the nozzle jet is so small its very susceptible to grit, if i was using the std 065 nozzle as its bigger its not much of a problem. With the 035 nozzle being a lot smaller it gets blocked if not using filters. The grit get caught up in the chamber and causes the inner nozzle to jam up and the grit scratches up the inner chamber. The other good thing about this lance is its stainless steel, means you don't get rust build up inside like the common steel ones, which in turn breaks away causing blockages.
Of course, you always sand these driveways. As for sealing most customers don't want it as it's expensive and to be honest it's a complete arse ache to apply because it's so highly weather dependant.
erm yes I am. Im a professional exterior cleaner with commercial grade equipment. That job took me about an hour and a half to clean. I can clean 75-100sqM an hour with my washer.
@@jessethompson726 hmm, I've never had issues with streaking even when using the 035 nozzles. I am assuming it's jetted more or less correctly for your machine, I know you can't always get it spot on as your halving the size. Streaking normally only occurs if there's not enough pressure.
I use 4200 psi 4 gallon a minute iv got 9 different powers I own my own company I have 2 scrubbers they work good I'm going to try smaller nozzles see how that works
@@jessethompson726 We use bar and LPM here, but the standard size nozzle on that power machine would be an 040, which cant be cut in half as the smallest size turbo that suttner make is an 025. My washer runs an 065 standard nozzle and twin 035 turbos. What colour nozzles are you running? even running twin 025 would mean you won't make full pressure. if your running twin 025 or larger I would say you're taking quite a pressure drop. I would have a look at what nozzle sizes are in your twin turbos.

Hi Phil, I know this video is somewhat outdated with regards to your current setup, but I'm looking to branch out in my cleaning services, (currently reach n wash window cleaner), and I actually enjoy pressure washing, when it comes my way.
So, I have just purchased a 200 bar, 15 lpm, Honda GX340 engine with a WS201 Interpump pump and I pick it up on Thursday 4th. It apparently has a single 045 nozzle fitted as standard.
There are a couple of questions I'd like your opinion on if I may:
1. If I were to purchase one of these twin lances, if I up the nozzle size to 050, then split it to 2 x 025, will this machine likely be just about adequate to make use of it?
2. It has an unloader fitted but I can't see from the images if it's "back to tank" or "back to pump". Which in your opinion is better to have? I know it's quite simple to modify from one to the other and I'd rather not have water flowing all over the floor needlessly, (b2t scenario), unless that's more effective/less strain on the pump. Your musing O sage ;)
Also, having looked at the specs pdf of the Falch Pointspeed 5, it would appear that this machines spec is "base" requirements to power that. I know I'm just a pleb, starting out on the road to Pressure Washing Perfection, but could you clarify that I'm correct in those details?

Hey OTC, yes you could use 2 x 025 turbos, you will loose a bit of pressure though because of the increased nozzles size. The machine would power it but it may struggle on tough areas. My machine looses about 50bar pump pressure when using the twin or surface cleaner, a bit more over the increased hose distance (new video coming soon showing/explaining pressure drop over hose length)
A return to tank unloader is better as a return to pump simply circulates the water through the pump which heats up pretty quick. Letting a return to pump unloader idle for more than a couple of minutes causes excessive heat. A return to tank eliminates this as it's a constant supply of cold water. The return feed should go back into your tank or water butt to avoid wasting water. Even when your on the trigger some unloaders will still feed back a small amount of water. Draining this anywhere apart from Into a tank would waste water, meaning your tank would be draining when your off the trigger rather than filling/looping.
The falch nozzle wouldn't work on your machine, the minimum they jet for is 200bar at 16lpm but I highly doubt they would sell you one, they are quite fussy about who gets one in regards to machine spec.
A few people I've spoke to have tried contacting falch with slightly lower spec machines and they simply won't sell them.
Make sure if you buy a twin turbo setup that you use inline filters, due to the really small nozzle jets they can get blocked real easy. I've had a few issues when using mine on 030 nozzles. Hope this helps dude, Phill.

TBH, I think I might just stick with a single turbo lance and small surface cleaner for now. I know it's not optimal but like I said, I'm just dipping my toe in the water with regards to PW'ing, and what I've bought is a step up from borrowing Dad's Karcher K4 and plastic surface cleaner :P

michael kilner I use a chemical nozzle with a 3/8 adapter which fits into my quick release coupling on the end of my hose. I show it in my other video on business start up equipment.
if the weather keeps the monoblock wet do you come back another day to resand and what do you say to the client for payment?
naveed khan you shouldn't be sanding same day anyway. I can't see how block pave will dry out sufficiently between the joints in couple hours to be able to sand. I always go back the day after if weather is ok. I don't take payment until jobs done. if the joints are damp the sand won't drop in fully. then when it does dry the sand will drop causing missed/open joints.
How you think the dual turbo nozzle would work with a pressure pro 4gpm 4000psi belt drive? Loved the video. 💪 What machine are you using?
Hi, well knowing companies who push their washers it won't be 4000psi continuous pressure. (Components that need to hold over 250bar 3600psi working pressure, jump dramatically in price)That's more than likely a surge pressure rather than working pressure. You would probably be looking more like 3600psi continuous, which is what you need to know when buying any accessory if you want it to work properly. Using the over-inflated figures they give will result in you ordering too small a nozzle and then you won't get the full performance of your machine. I don't think you could run a twin nozzle effectively on your washer simply because I don't think they make the nozzle size small enough. From the charts and based on 3600psi at 4gpm your std nozzle would be an 04 you then split that in half so you would run 2x 02 nozzles. I don't believe Suttner makes them that small, I have a feeling they start at a size 03. This would mean you won't get full pressure as you would effectively be running the equivalent of an 06 nozzle jet. You could possibly find Chinese made nozzles that are that small, however, you made end up with the nozzles blocking up and not running in sync. I now run a custom-made washer with a 25hp honda igx800, 350bar (5076psi) running 23lpm (6gpm).
Hi Phil have you any advice regarding cleaning mossy tarmac , would you use Hypo or just jet wash?
Applying a strong hypo before cleaning and leaving to work for a hour can soften the moss. The problem you will have with mossy tarmac is that it eats the surface. After you have jet washed it off it will leave the surface all rough and pitted because the moss seems to destroy it. Surface moss will be OK but heavy moss is destructive. A decent washer will shift it and then a 50/50 hypo mix after can help kill off any remaining residue and help keep it clear. Make sure to rinse the hypo off really well as it can dry out quite powdery and is very noticeable on black areas. Some people pre treat with a milder biocide about a week before and let that kill it off before jet washing. Problem is this adds to the time. I rarely use hypo on tarmac as rarely shows much difference. It can help remove stubborn dirt making your job a bit easier. Ultimately I suppose it depends how big the area is. If the customer wants proper wow factor from the clean, use a tarmac restorer/sealer. Puts the black back in and makes it look new. Phill

Love it Phil 👌🏻my gun has a M22 female inlet, I believe the thread on that lance is 1/4 male BSP. How can I make the 2 fit each other mate ? Im a newbie, done a few jobs now so upgrading my equipment but the fittings are what I struggle with.
I use quick release fittings, nearly all std guns have a 1/4" outlet from the gun. The M22 inlet (hose to trigger) will just be a conversion piece as most guns internally are 1/4". If you have a removable Lance you can adapt it otherwise you'll either need a new trigger or components to adapt. If you want to send me a picture of your trigger I may be able to help further. Doesnt that ruin the surface of the stones? I mean, there is some protective coating on them from te factory right?
mikael master no there is no protective coating on stones. Any coating applied to block paving is done after its laid but is rarely done. If the driveway was sealed you wouldnt nees to use a tool like this and it shouldnt have anywhere near the muck in the joint line.

I rarely use this tool now as I have a falch PS5 but my washer is 250bar @ 23lpm. I think the smallest nozzle size available is an 025 which would equate to an 050 STD nozzle. You will need to know the max continuous operating pressure and the flow rate. Phill

Hi you need to know max continous operating pressure and flow rate. In reality if the machine is less than 18 litres a minute you won't get nozzles small enough to enable full pressure.
Have you considered fitting 2 turbo nozzles to a surface cleaner?
Thats been tried and tested by another firm and it doesn't work.

Matt Murphy hi matt, i think your machine is too underpowered to run one of these double turbos. Do you know what nozzle size yours uses? The whirlaway may be an option but i would think youll have striping issues as you will be splitting your pressure and flow between the 2 nozzles. You would need to move quite slowly with the whirlaway. You may be ok with a small 12" one, but anything biggee may lack umph! I would say on your machine for the best overall clean a single turbo would be best. Phill

Matt Murphy hmm to really be able to use proper nozzles and attachments you ideally looking at something around 18lpm, 16lpm min. 200-250bar. Something like that which is suitable for professional heavy usage will be somewhere around £1600 - £2000 plus other gear like water tank, garden hoses, ball cock valve, additional high pressure hose etc etc.
A lot of these small machines carry small print in there literature, which normally reads "not for continous or professional use". It really depends how serious you want to take it, a small washer will do the job but a bigger one will do it better and quicker.
Hi Phil. Ive got exact same turbo nozzle. Yet it does not have the power that you show in this video. Really frustrating. Got a Clarke power washer for around £750. Better when just had one turbo nozzle. Any idea. 😁
Are the nozzles jetted according to your machine? The problem with twin turbos is that your effectively halving the power output into the 2 nozzles. I have had people ask me about jetting for Clarke washers bit I don't think the power output is overly high, this meaning you may not be able to get nozzles small enough. Your lance may have been supplied with the smallest nozzles available which may actually be too big. This will give full water flow but at a reduced pressure. If you let me know what make model your washer is I can check what nozzles it should have. Phill

Hi it really depends on the pressure and flow of your machine. In honesty I doubt your machine will power one as the smallest nozzle sizes you can get for it are an 030. It will work to a degree but it probably won't be very powerful.

Hi Phil I was looking at a diesel PW belt driven 21lph what do you think of diesel ?
Nothing wrong with diesel all be it a bit smelly lol. Not enough info on belt driven systems to be honest, I'm a bit jubious about reliability due to the nature of the work and environment. Interpump the leading pump manufacturer doesn't produce a belt drive system for the washer pumps and they are having warranty wars with people fitting belt drives to there pumps and then trying to claim when something goes wrong.

Paul Shakeshaft I don't know what to recommend to be fair. It all depends on your budget. you could get a reasonable start up washer for around £1200 but it probably won't be high power. my washer alone was £3000. ideally look for a good solid engine by either Briggs and Stratton or Honda. Pump wise the leading brand is interpump, they also do gearboxes.

Carl Bishop it will all depend on what your nozzle size is. anybody wanting to hook you up will need to know size. take nozzle out of your lance and it should be written on the side. you may even be able to see it without removing it. will be 5/6 digit number.

Carl Bishop it's a 400L ecosure I think it is. cost around £250. they are big though, make sure you measure your vehicle and don't forget the max payload of van.
im guessing you must lose a certain amount of pressure using all them extra filters, cos you'll have one in the water tank and on the pressure washer as well, looks like you're getting through 2 square metres a minute so it don't really matter
I dont use so many filters now as they just not needed. I don't even filter the inlet water anymore as I have grit screens on the t valves.

What would be a good jetwash machine to use with a similar nozzle?
It needs to be fairly high powered as these nozzles are only available in a size 030 and higher. I would say it would need to be running at least 16lpm.

What are your views on surface cleaners are they any better than using a wand ?
Personally I don't rate them, yes they can be quick on the right surface. They struggle with weeds and heavy moss on block paving. I have one on the van but rarely use it as you end up going back over the bits it's missed with a lance. Also depending on the power of the machine it's used with will ultimately stipulate how well it cleans. Because the surface cleaners have 2 sometimes 3 nozzles the power and flow of your machine is split between them. Phill

jason hoyes hi jason, i have done couple jobs with grafitti. Problem is a normal jet wash wont shift it. I hit it with 250bar and it barely removes it. You will nees to apply a grafitti removal product or sometimes utilising a sandblaster attachment will help. All really depends on what type of surface its on, the type of paint that was used and also how long its been on the wall. The council normally donthe proper grafitti removal as it involves serious pressure and sometimes hot water. On some occasions it can damage the stone, but thats the price you pay to remove it. Phill

jason hoyes no worries. You would be looking at a washer of 250+bar to shift grafitti. More than likely around 500bar to push it as a reliable service, anything more than 250bar is too much for driveways.

Using the side by side motion seems to negate the benefit of the double turbo nozzle, does it not? Couldn't you cover much more area if you were to rotate the assembly by 90 degrees?
You can but the pressure of the lance and the spinning of the water wants to pull the lance sideways which is more uncomfortable than it pulling forward.
Do you use the unloader valve to adjust the pressure? Some people do and some people turn down the pressure using the revs?
I use revs or my flow control valves. If you have a know on your unloader you can use that but otherwise leave it alone.
@@DirtyDriveAway I just bought the machine. An evolution 2 - 21litres/min. Stilll trying to learn about it. It's a mean bit of kit.
@Neil Moye if its fitted with a K1 unloader then unless you have a pressure gauge fitted or you know how to adjust it I would leave it be. The evo 2 washers don't react to a great deal of throttle adjustment as the motors aren't overly big. The motors like to be high up in the revs to keep the engine happy. The best way to reduce pressure is by using larger size nozzles. If your washers only running 200bar then you won't be needing massive drops. A surface cleaner will need full power to run on that.
@@DirtyDriveAway Thanks for your advice. It's interesting. Its a 390cc 21 litres per minute machine. To clean decking it will need to be turned down a bit I think. You are not far from me. I am based in Crawley. I am more a gardener that thought pressure washing would be a good add on to my services. I watch your channel a lot. It's a great channel. Keep it up. Thanks again.
@Neil Moye yes decking needs much lower pressure, usually around 140-150bar. Too much and it will shred the wood. The problem with the 390 engines is that they don't like too much alternation on revs, as the motor is only just powerful enogh for the pump. I would drop the revs a smidge and fit a larger nozzle with a wide angle for decking. Something around a 40-65degree and a size 08, if you have a K1 unloader fitted to your machine I would chuck a pressure gauge in it to monitor pressure. Problem with decking is once you've cleaned it, it needs treating. It will go grey really quickly if not treated.

It all depends on your std nozzle size as it will need to be split. The smallest size turbo they supply is on 030 so your std nozzle size will need to be an 060 or larger for it to work properly.

2 totally different tools with totally different prices. I dont use my twin nozzle anymore because I have the falch. But a twin nozzle is about £145 and a falch £1700. Falch won't sell to everyone and it highly depends on your machine.

@@darrenwatters3054 I wouldnt bother if your machine is less than 250bar at 21lpm. I love the falch but it will still struggle on heavy weeds so I still break out the single turbo on occasion.

@@darrenwatters3054 its not as outright powerful as a single nozzle but its quicker. Your dealing with 4 nozzle jets on the falch as opposed to just 1 on a turbo. When you have heavy weeds the falch will struggle to cut through them, but anything else its way quicker than a single turbo. They are great tools but expensive to buy and maintain, a service on the falch is around £400. If your running 250bar then it will work fine, anything less and it really won't do it justice. You need to use the falch on full power to get it to spin up properly. I love mine and its my go to tool, but they are over priced. Its a 500bar nozzle so its not really designed to be used on 250bar machines, but it does work. If your running the same spec as me 250bar @ 23lpm then that's fine.

Your machine has to be capable of powering 2 nozzles properly in order to use. I.e it's not a low power machine as you have to split your STD nozzle size in half.

Hi so long as an 070 is the correct size for your machines pressure and flow then yes you will need 2x035.

its not uncommon for a supplier to just send out a lance assembly and not jet them correctly. wrong size or worn nozzles are the biggest cause of performance issues. I wouldnt be surprised if your nozzles are too big, if they are suttners they will have a colour cap on the end. If you not sure on its size just let me know the colour.

It will but not very well. The smallest available turbo nozzle is a size 030 meaning that fitting 2 of those would equate to a size 060 std nozzle. Since you say you have 150bar at 13lpm it means that the nozzles will be too big. If you did use it you wouldn't be getting full pressure so in honesty it's not worth it. Even if the nozzle size was available you would be splitting the 150bar between 2 nozzles giving roughly 75 per nozzle. That really won't do a lot.

Difficult to say really, I carry 400L onboard. I would say an average drive is about 1300L. I don't tend to monitor it as the customers have never asked.
I though that pressure washers didn't use much water, though I suppose this setup does

Surface cleaner is best bet 15 inches cleaning
Won't clean aswell as one of these. I have an 18" surface cleaner and this beats it hands down on performance.

Wonder if this guy could get rid of black stuff off sandstone blocks on my house instead of using a bleach ?
Most black stuff be it lichen or fungus will usually require some sort of biocide in order to kill it off. Simple pressure washing may remove some but without some form of treatment it usually comes back. Think of it as athlete's foot for stone, if you don't treat it then it won't really go away. Even a turbo nozzle and serious pressure rarely removes lichen spores. Have a look at some of my other videos on how to shift them but yes unfortunately it will require biocide (bleach)

I need to find a dual headed lance to fit fan tips, 15 or 25 degree. Turbo nozzles are just terrible. You can't pressure wash near as fast with them as you can with a standard fan tip, doesn't do as good of a job either. I don't know why people are so persistent with using them.
iiR34CTIONZz. Not too sure what turbo nozzles you have used or what size nozzle you have but all the turbos i have used give a much quicker clean than a fan nozzle on block paving. Fan nozzles are great on everything else, but i just find they lack the umph on block paving, especially if using 25degree, 10-15 you could get a fair clean. If you go for a double fan nozzle you will be halving your nozzle size so effectively reducing the power of a single by 2. You can buy these lances without the turbos and fit conventional nozzles on the end, but if you wanted that then your best off using a rotary surface cleaner as technically thats the same but it spins too. What spec machine are you using. Phill

iiR34CTIONZz ok so thats 16lpm in UK. So your probably using an 04 nozzle? I doubt you could use 2 turbos on that power anyway as they are too small/low power.
I use 15040 and 25045 tips. If I used two tips on one gun I would just need two 15025, the loss in pressure would not be so significant that it wouldn't clean properly. Really, you can pressure wash most concrete surfaces with around 3200psi. Eventually I will be getting a 3500psi pump with 5.5gpm. For most commercial and residential jobs anything over 4000psi really isn't necessary.
iiR34CTIONZz you can buy those twin lances on ebay. The guy i use is in the UK. The lance is made by suttner but it has a bent end so this may hinder how you would use it with twin fans. You may be able to source one locally to you.

I got the lance from a co. called Qwashers on eBay stores.ebay.co.uk/qwashers?_rdc=1, I've used them many a time, they only deal in washer parts. Top guys but always mental busy on the phone. Same company should be able to hook you up with inline filters. If not just search pressure washer inline filter. Because the nozzle jet is so small its very susceptible to grit, if i was using the std 065 nozzle as its bigger its not much of a problem. With the 035 nozzle being a lot smaller it gets blocked if not using filters. The grit get caught up in the chamber and causes the inner nozzle to jam up and the grit scratches up the inner chamber. The other good thing about this lance is its stainless steel, means you don't get rust build up inside like the common steel ones, which in turn breaks away causing blockages.

Of course, you always sand these driveways. As for sealing most customers don't want it as it's expensive and to be honest it's a complete arse ache to apply because it's so highly weather dependant.

erm yes I am. Im a professional exterior cleaner with commercial grade equipment. That job took me about an hour and a half to clean. I can clean 75-100sqM an hour with my washer.

you got to have really good pressure and flow for it to work properly.
You nozzles smaller then mine it just left streaks but I use one at a time it works well
@@jessethompson726 hmm, I've never had issues with streaking even when using the 035 nozzles. I am assuming it's jetted more or less correctly for your machine, I know you can't always get it spot on as your halving the size. Streaking normally only occurs if there's not enough pressure.

@@jessethompson726 We use bar and LPM here, but the standard size nozzle on that power machine would be an 040, which cant be cut in half as the smallest size turbo that suttner make is an 025. My washer runs an 065 standard nozzle and twin 035 turbos. What colour nozzles are you running? even running twin 025 would mean you won't make full pressure. if your running twin 025 or larger I would say you're taking quite a pressure drop. I would have a look at what nozzle sizes are in your twin turbos.
