    On channel selection, 2.4ghz should only use 1, 6, and 11 as all other channels cause overlap. 5ghz has similar issues, just not as bad as interference with neighbors is less of an issue since the signal doesn't travel as far.

    Hello my frien. Must say i really like yoir Channel. I was wondering if you ran into an issue like this before with asus. I have a ax3000 which works great for wifi. The router is on the second floor and all over the house i can get internet speeds close to my 1gig internet limit. Only issue is on ethernet i can get only 400-500 max. I will be trying with another pc to see if the issue is from my machine. I did do a hard reset. The router is great and ironically I had two AX3000s one in the basement and one and the second floor in AImesh and they used to give me issues especially with my tv. The one router along is doing wonderfully for wifi.

    Thanks man for nice and useful videos,
    I have GT-AX11000 as main router and 3 mesh ax68u at home which I used a lot of your experiances on them. :)
    But I have few issues, I have tried to make guest network which it is fine.
    Then I wanted to assign manual IP addresses and use binding them to specific access point to reduce main router and DHCP work. and I had in mind to setup router only give internet access to these IP addresses.
    Most of apple devices I had to switch off limited IP tracking and getting security warning or keep it on and keep finding new devices in network lol, is there any solution for that?
    On the MacBook Pro also, there was problem with auto assign IP which I had to restart router almost daily.
    Oh, it become too much, I will bother you later about Jumbo Frame and link aggregation.

      Thanks, glad you liked the video. However, I'm not sure if I understood your question correctly! Are you trying to use static IP addresses on your Guest WiFi and it doesn't work as expected?

    If you have an Asus RT-AX55 which has 4 antennas. Which antennas should you adjust to one direction if you only want to send more signal one way, if you are in a house and at the end of it? Would you point all 4 in the proposed direction to improve this?

    • @Behfor
      @Behfor  10 місяців тому

      Pointing the antennas to one direction doesn't send the signals to that direction. Please watch my videos regarding antenna positioning.

      @garetha1981 10 місяців тому

      @@Behfor Cheers. I found this router likes the two middle antennas pointing up and the two side antennas pointing at a 45 degree angle.

    Before, you mentioned about too many nodes can generate too much noise and interference. How can I find out this information from my Wi-fi Network? I have a ASUS Zen Wifi system.

    • @Behfor

      You should use a wifi analyzer device or app for that purpose. I have a couple of videos about that if you check my recent videos you'll find it.

    Seems like FUD to tell people using an older router would result in lower speeds or unreliable connections. This will really depend on their requirements and circumstances. I can't say I saw any improvement in performance going from Wi-Fi 5 to 6.
    I would advise waiting once Wi-Fi 7 comes out. Let other people pay a premium to be a beta tester.
    Another mistake is connecting mesh nodes wirelessly.

      Bro, are you kidding? The jump from Wi-Fi 4/5 to Wi-Fi 6 is highly significant. Double the speed. I saw an improvement in all my modern devices from 300Mbps to 574Mbps using the same wide channel. But if you use the oldest Wi-Fi 5 wave 1 clients only then you won't notice any improvement.

    • @Zeric1
      @Zeric1 2 дні тому

      @@GElectr0n In some environments, WiFi 6 can be a significant upgrade in speed, particularly if there are a lot of clients and/or the clients are some distance from the APs. If there is only one or two active clients at a time, and the clients are close to the AP, and there isn't a lot of other interference on the band, then there is only a small increase in speed between WiFi 5 and 6. This is well documented. Like so many things, the details matter.

    • @GElectr0n
      @GElectr0n 2 дні тому

      @@Zeric1 Well, you are talking about "documented" stuff. While I'm talking about what I experienced in real life with my new WiFi 6 gateway. Both, clients & router are WiFi 6 certified and the speed increase versus WiFi 4/5 is highly significant.

    • @Zeric1
      @Zeric1 2 дні тому

      @@GElectr0n Yes, you are talking what **_you_** experienced. The next person may experience different results, or the may see similar results. That was the point I made, one's experience will vary based on several factors.
