Hi Dear, just so that you know. The Solawave wand that you are using in this video is an older version. There is a newer version that came out recently. I hope this helps🙏🏽
In a world full of "influencers" that get sponsored to push products claiming to fix acne, wrinkles, pigmentation etc, I'm really glad you've kept it real. I've been following your channel for over 11 years and every suggestion you've ever made has done wonders for my oily acne prone skin! I bought the Dr. Dennis Gross LED mask last year during a black Friday and haven't been consistent with it, after watching this video I am so inspired to use it nightly!😁
@@ciarabergin1455 It does work, my face is less red and the hyperpigmentation left behind from my acne goes away a lot faster than it did before using it. I've only had it for a year and use it 3 to 4 times a week for 3 minutes only. Using it multiple times a day is not needed and thats how you shorten it's life span.
You reviews are the best! Other people talk about stupid stuff, but you really get into the things that matter. Like the little bubbles dispersing the light. Who else talks about that? You’re amazing! Thank you for what you do.
If you have headaches, the theraface mask by therabody is amazing. You get good led therapy combined with head prophylaxis/ relief. I saw the led results pretty quickly and use about half of the amount of headache medicine this allergy season with no lost afternoons due to napping away a headache.
I just purchased Dr Rajani’s mask and I was worried to watch this video that I could have purchased the wrong one, but it just confirmed my choice. It has all of the good things she mentioned about the masks rolled into one. Not for the price sensitive though. It was a huge gift to myself. I hope I see good results from the light therapy.
@@AprilMay-s8e I feel like I’m seeing results from the red light but it’s slow. The blue lights I’m getting good results. So many blemishes coming to the surface. It’s amazing.
I listen to a dermatologist who said that LED red light masks are not as effective as a red light panel. The panel device can bathe your whole face in red light whereas the red lights on a mask are lighting where the points are. Meaning the spaces between the lights are not getting the benefits of red light. Made sense to me.
The Dermabeam Pro is fantastic!!!! It has totally changed my skin. In addition the company itself is extraordinary…I purchased one which stopped working..they replaced immediately. Excellent product and customer service!!

I’ve been using the Dr. Dennis Gross mask almost every night for about 6 months, and I think it really has softened my fine lines! Plus, I look creepy AF for those 3 minutes, which entertains my family 😅
I started using a red light therapy panel from Future Form Official after my dermatologist recommended it, and it's been great for my skin. I've noticed a significant improvement in my complexion and a reduction in wrinkles. Unlike the masks, which I found didn't provide enough coverage, the panel has been incredibly effective. Plus, it's affordably priced, which is a huge bonus. I find it frustrating that there's so much conflicting information out there about different skin treatments, but there are actually a lot of scientific papers supporting red light therapy. Thanks so much for sharing this video, Cassandra! It's great to have more reliable info on these devices. 🤩
Thanks for the helpful video! Can you review the Anil Rajani brand LED mask? He designed his own and it looks like it has a lot of the right features from your review.... and I like the idea of the more flex masks that can do double duty for sports injuries :)) Also the Omnilux... (though they're both so expensive...!!)
I am not sure why she is claiming the shape of the diode matters. There’s no literature to support that claim. The currentbody and omnilux are great options
I've been using it for several months..personally I feel like I wasted $450.. no change to my skin texture, pores still visible, .no tightening..the lines in my forehead..still there..at least with botox you can see the results.
@@pamsmith484I have to agree with you. Feels like a waste of money so far and I've had it for a few months and use it almost every night. I also have a small head/face and the mask is really uncomfortable going over my ears. The straps fall off so I have to put up a ponytail and tie the straps on top of it for the added girth. It's a messy setup, uncomfortable, and a waste of money. No one talks about these darn things though. Everyone just raves and raves and raves about everything and anything nowadays.
ive been using it for 3 years and just purchased the neck one, as I've seen a tremendous reduction in fine lines and post-acne marks, as well as an overall evening-out of my skin tone. i personally think omnilux offers some of the best LED in the market based on my own research of countless reviews and my own personal experience !
Cassandra, you need to try Dr Rajani’s Plasma Glow mask. It wraps under the jowls and the lights are made in a way that every area of the face gets light rather than just the area of skin under the light
I have UFO2, and while I couldn’t care less for the red light, I can see that my face looks better once I use it. I don’t use foreo masks with it, but mainly cheap 50 cent aloe vera sheet masks. The cryotherapy helps to calm down my inflamation. I wouldn’t pay the full price for it anyway.
I do use the Foreo masks with mine. I have super sensitive skin and this device + mask combo is money for me. Like you said, I'm meh about the red light in it. I like the warming and cooling aspects.
Hey.. why aren't you including/ reviewing the Dr. Rajani mask? I am so curious about it, for what additional benefits it is said to have, such as additional coverage/ power for the upper lip, & reach UNDER the chin/ upper neck in 1 product (sounds amazing for 1 piece purchase to combat) for JOWLING... which is my #1 concern. But budget will only allow for 1 that is VERY well reviewed/ multi targeted, with the infrareds(?) as well... Please let me/ us know & thanks so much for the content ;>
I love Foreo and it made such a big difference to the look and condition of my skin… Don’t really like this video as you are making it very personal but you’ve made some good points. Thanks
I really appreciate your content. Thank you! Unfortunately the Dermabeam PRO is no longer available at Amazon. I don't think the price point of the Dr. Dennis one is a bit too high for first timer like me.
I’ve been really pleased with my TheraFace device. I won’t equate it to the masks, but I have definitely seen improvement. I use the massage feature at the same time and it’s awesome. It has the right wavelengths and it does appear to be reducing the lines on my forehead and crows feet.
I am so glad to see that you didn’t recommend the Omnilux mask. I had it, the cord was so thin on it and not too long after the two year warranty was up, the cord came right out of the mask rendering it useless. Also, it was the most expensive of all the masks that I have. The Current Body mask’s cord is a lot more substantial and even though I’ve had it longer, it has not come out of the mask. It does not, however, fit my face as well as I’d like, so I use long clips to pull the strap up tighter so that the mask fits my face well. I also have the Doctor Dennis Gross mask which, after about a year’s use kept requiring me to continually charge it. In the future, I will be purchasing either Dr. Rajani‘s mask or the Maysama mask.
I started with the project e mask lol it left indentation marks on my nose it was so bad! I'm surprised you didn't mention the Dr rajani led mask I recently got it and it is amazing!
Hey Cassandra, thanks for sharing this comparison video. Very helpful. I’d love to know your thoughts about the Omnilux Face Led Mask. It’s quite popular and relatively better priced. Thanks. ❤
It is exactly the same as the CurrentBody. It is the same soft mask with the same 132 red/NIR diodes. Cass mentioned they are all likely produced in the same factory with different brand names stamped on.
Re the Solawave: it works when it is exposed to moisture, not just to the skin. So, if it blips out like that, you need to add some moisture to your skin. I do use their serum, but I'm sure it could be nearly anything that isn't going to gunk up the device. I love my Foreo UFO, but not for the red light benefits. My skin is very reactive and it loves their masks and the UFO device. If nothing else, I enjoy the ritual, but I do see great effects from it.
I'm looking into buying one (have lots of skin issues: rosacea, fine lines, sagging of neck, redness, acne, acne scars, eczema, oh and a port wine stain too), but was tempted to buy one with multi-colored leds. It's either that or a microcurrent device. But those are even more expensive.Coolest looking ones are the clear ones like Foreo, but that's way over my budget (839 + euro). Silk'n has opaque but affordable one and for microcurrent, I'm going to look up your video only Foreo and Nuvance are sold sold here, other things are something else I think: Newa is really pushed everywhere where I live.
I know you're not asking me but I thought I'd chime in with my experience since I've been using the omnilux for a little over a month so far. I see a reduction in wrinkles. But my acne marks and big pores are still there. But I'm going to continue using it and see if I get improvement with that.
@@FragranceEuphoriaare usually using the contour? I'm thinking of getting the men's as some say it's as good or better than the contour. Any thoughts?
Have you ever heard of the Inteo? I bought it on Amazon and it had a great reviews. The only thing that I’m questioning is the fact that it states that they are beads instead of lights. Thank you!
I have the omnilux and I have seen improvement with wrinkles which I'm happy about but I was hoping to also see fading acne marks and a skin texture change and don't see that.
For acne marks have u tried niacinamide as in nonestop? I do use it day n night or c serum day n niacinamide & retinol at night depending on how deep they are may take time or need ointment
Please Cassandra we need a new review because the der abeam pro is no longer available in Amazon and there are some new ones. I’ve been following you for a some years and all your advices have been great for me.
What about red light panels? Considering the price of a tiny mask for the face especially if combined with other devices for the neck, lips etc would a red light panel that would cover a larger part of the body be a better investment?
still cannot wait for your review of Dr Dennis Gross's Skincare DRx SpectraLite LED LipWare Pro! Will this be coming soon?! Thank you for everything Queen Cassandra!🎀❤
I have had this lip device for 6 months and love it. Definitely has helped to keep my lips very naturally more plump, it’s subtle but definitely noticeable
Could you show your LED Mask routine? A video on how you prep your skin before applying the mask and how you finish it after? Like the order of products vs the order of using the mask.
Hey, but what about red light panels like the ones from platinumLED ? I couldn’t find many (if any) information from an esthestician or dermatologist point of view 🤔
I love the iRESTORE hair helmet and so I recently bought the Illumina mask too. Would love a full video on it, including the skincare that they suggest that you use with it. Could I use my existing cleanser and rose water mist before and my hyaluronic anti-aging serum after? I have really sensitive skin and that cleanser is like an astringent to my skin - maybe the apple?
I have mild hyperpigmentation and not sure if I should spend money on one of the masks….I’ve researched and some people say it worsens hyperpigmentation
I think the Omnilux is included in the Current Body section of Cassandra's video? It's very similar. But I'm not sure if the Omnilux has the "bubble" diodes or are they flat against the mask. (hope this makes sense). What she is saying is you want the diodes to be bulging out not just flat against the mask (and your face) - the DDG mask has the bulging diodes vs. the ones that look like Omnilux and Current Body do not.
Yes please speak about professional and the blue light! I have this light blanket for my body from nova lab and miin systems professional grade mask system.
Today I’m watching this and the Dermabeam is currently not available on Amazon. I’m not sure where else it is. But it showed about $250 in your shopping detail link.
Hi! You discuss the importance of the dome shaped diodes vs the flat bulbs. I have never heard or read about the dispersion of light based on the bulb shapes being important in led devices. Can you point me to some literature and/or studies so I can understand this better? I can’t find any! Thanks Cassandra
would love to know what you think of the Ulike ReGlow LED face mask. It's the one most accessible to me, but I have no idea if it works effectively or not before I spend $500 on it
I just got one from Predire Paris and it sent shockwaves on my face without even choosing color treatment yet. I freaked out and removed it right away and am now so scared to try it on again. It’s non returnable so it is money down the drain. I should have researched first before buying a treatment device. 😢😢😢😢😢
I have one from Project E Beauty that I got years ago, and mine is not like the one you showed. It looks like the one in the picture with the package but not like the one in your hands or on your friend's face. The remote does not have anything related to "whitening," just "Project E Beauty" written on it. 🤔
Thanks! This was great! Here are a couple of thoughts: 1.) could you look at the Qure face mask? 2.) are those bottom 3 in your ranking FDA Cleared? If yes, then that is discouraging. If no, that would be 1 step to weeding out junk. I looked at the Dr. Gross face mask but found the website not very specific so I went on by. I wish the website would improve. If they did studies, then that info should be easier to find on the website. People like me love to read that stuff. Thank u so much!
Im surprised you did not mention omnilux , that one has the most research on it. I have the Boots no7 it works fantastically. Can you please talk about Omnilux and the Boots no7 mask?
How has it been so far? I have a wellness studio membership that has Celluma with a stand and it’s been amazing. I can tell when I don’t go in and use it, but I’m considering buying my own with the Pro.
I'm not saying that first one isn't a piece of junk, but facial whitening and skin care means toning, getting rid of age spots etc. There are thousands of skin care serums and creams that say face whitening. Red light is known to do that as well.
This is woefully misinformed. You want to look for an LED device which has BOTH Red & NIR (near infrared) lights with wavelengths 633nm & 830nm respectively. Another important factor to consider is the irradiance which is btn 30-45mW/cm2. Those are the ONLY wavelengths that are scientifically proven to have the most benefit for your skin. More bulbs don't mean a more powerful mask because the irradiance (mW/cm2) refers to the entire array and not the individual LED. Both Dr Dennis Gross & Dermabean do not match this configuration so they don't work as well as a mask which matches these EXACT wavelengths & irradiance. In fact, the only product in the video with the science behind it is the CurrentBody Led mask. So you're better off spending your money on the CurrentBody one or the pricier Omnilux mask if you can afford it. Light Salon, Priori, Theraface mask, Dr. Naomi Let it Glow LED Mask, LED Esthetics Glotech Mask are some other good options out there.
I was wondering if you could try the Therabody LED face mask at some point, I saw it in person once and I was intrigued. It had a lot of LEDs, a comfortable headband, and it protects the eyes.
What do you think about the LED attachment for NuFace? I just bought the Trinity kit and am considering returning it because I don’t know if I can justify the price for only red light when I also need blue for acne. Would love to hear your opinion!
@@meganhickey6442 Perhaps there's a backstory as to why Omnilux was not included?? I've used Omnilux for years and love the results. And their Customer Service is A plus plus plus!
as another reviewer points out "It fits into the group of masks she reviewed under the CurrentBody. They are identical. 132 diodes (66 red at 633nm/666 NIR at 880nm) in the same soft mask. Irridiance about 30 mW/cm2. They just stamp different brand names on them in the factory as Cass mentioned."
I have that Project E mask and it is completely different from yours. It is still bulky but has no metal do hickeys, clip on plastic ear bits to be worn like sunglasses and there are more LEDs in the mask which are all numbered. The remote is completely different than yours just buttons to control power, colour and intensity and nothing about whitening. At the time I bought it before there was not all the options out there that there is now. I chose it as the price point was lower than the really expensive options, the colour choices, it has actual LEDs and I liked the idea of a neck piece. It has been 4 years and it still does the job so I will keep using it until it dies. I live in the UK so maybe that explains the differences.
@@CalamityCJ Either that or it is a really old model. It definitely isn't the one that has been sold by Project E for the last 3 years (when I bought mine).
This is probably the best LED Skindcare device video I have seen! I wish I saw this video 3 years ago before I bought the CurrentBody one. Thank you, Cassandra!
That mask is probably the best out of them all. There is absolutely no literature to support her claim that the diode shape matters. The currentbody has great nm options and great irradiance
It is a personal opinion video. As a biochemist with years of industry experience in NIR (near infrared) spectroscopy, I don't think this review was especially scientific. (I agree the lower end units she looked at were absolute crap, but is that not obvious just looking at them?) The CurrentBody is basically the same as the Omnilux (I agree that they are probably made in the same factory & different brand names stamped on the mask). Have you had good results with your CurrentBody? You want to look at the science. How may diodes? Which wavelenths? What is the irradiance in mW/cm2 & fluence in J/cm2? Things like how far the diodes are from your skin will have a huge effect on irradiance, so be careful how the company did the measurements they are reporting. If people are willing to use a panel instead of a mask, I believe Mito to have the best LED therapy products on the market. You can get much higher quality face/neck sized panels for about the same price as the DDG mask. If I was rich, I would buy a full body set of panels to hang on the back of my door and their "pod". The pod is basically a full body sleeping bad style cocoon that delivers LED therapy head to toe, both sides of the body...all at once. A girl can dream!
@@umazillah9812 If you want a mask, it is definitely a fine choice. (It is basically the same as the Omnilux flexible mask which Cass did not review.) They used scientifically proven wavelengths of red & NIR light (633 and 880 nm). The irradiance of 30 mW/cm2 is acceptable for a mask. It has more red/NIR diodes (132 vs 100) than the DDG. In addition, the DDG splits their 100 diodes between red (630nm), deep red (660nm), NIR (880nm) & amber (605nm) wavelengths. Amber light at 605 nm is not scientifically proven, so you are really only getting 75 red/NIR LEDS vs the 132 in your CurrentBody. Furthermore, all of the research so far has shown 633 nm as the gold standard for red light therapy. This doesn't mean the 660nm wavelength is not beneficial, but there is currently less research to back it. The DDG does claim their irradiance is double that of CurrentBody/Omnilux at 60mW/cm2, but I am suspect of that claim based on the diodes that are in the DDG mask. Irradiance values vary widely based on the light meter used and the testing conditions. I am also skeptical of the DDG blue light mode. It appears violet when in use which is not normal for a 415nm device. If you turn on the Omnilux Clear (which is a red/blue combo mask) the light appears violet because of the mixture of the 2 wavelengths. The DDG emits the same shade of violent when on the 415 nm "blue only" mode which is very suspect. Thus, if you are looking at getting another mask for the blue light mode, I would certainly NOT buy the DDG. (I have physically inspected the DDG but don't want to say anything further because of....lawyers! 🤣) Oh no! I wrote all of this before noticing that you were not the OP who regretted buying the CurrentBody before seeing the video! Thus, I put a strong focus on comparing your mask to Cass’s top-rated mask. I hope I still answered your question! Let me know if you want any more information. ❤
I would really like to try this kind of treatment to help with my acne and rosacea. I'm hesitating between the Clear Omnilux mask and Dr. Dennis Gross. What bothers me is that my acne is mostly on my chin, where Omnilux seems to have more leds, but also around my nose and between my nose and upper lip, areas that seem better covered by Dr. DG. Given the price, I'd really like to make the right choice, so I'm really baffled.

Please do a video about Blue LED for acne and what masks you recommend🙏
What are your thoughts on the Omnilux mask?
I know you're not asking me but I thought I'd chime in with my experience since I've been using the omnilux for a little over a month so far. I see a reduction in wrinkles. But my acne marks and big pores are still there. But I'm going to continue using it and see if I get improvement with that.
One of the best.
@@FragranceEuphoria thank you for sharing your experience.
@@FragranceEuphoriaare usually using the contour? I'm thinking of getting the men's as some say it's as good or better than the contour. Any thoughts?
@@mercedesenciso4132 Ya I have the contour one. I don't know which one is better.
So glad I listened to this … I wanted one of these…but did not know where to turn, or what to purchase. Thank you!
What about red light panels? Considering the price of a tiny mask for the face especially if combined with other devices for the neck, lips etc would a red light panel that would cover a larger part of the body be a better investment?
Plus, they are more powerful. I’m considering a panel.
still cannot wait for your review of Dr Dennis Gross's Skincare DRx SpectraLite LED LipWare Pro!
You saved me soooo much money and time with this video! Thank you!
Hey, but what about red light panels like the ones from platinumLED ? I couldn’t find many (if any) information from an esthestician or dermatologist point of view 🤔
I’d like to hear about this too! I’m thinking of purchasing one at some point.
I'll love to know your thoughts on Dr. Rajani, Higherdose and Omnilux ! great video!
I would love to hear your opinion on the Omnilux mask 😍
I know I thought this would be one of the ones she recommended
I second this! Im surprised she did not mention this one
The CurrentBody IS the Omnilux with a different brand name stamped on it!
Have you used the Artemis mask? I can’t seem to find a ton of information. I got this mask and I’m not convinced it’s working. Hope it wasn’t a scam.
I would like to see your comparison review of the Korean Avina vs Cleopatra brand of LED light therapies
My sola wave vibrates and heats up for Galvanic
Hey Cass, love the video. I just purchased the Qure led mask, what are your thoughts on that one?
dermabeam pro isn’t available anywhere 😢
I have one from Project E Beauty that I got years ago, and mine is not like the one you showed. It looks like the one in the picture with the package but not like the one in your hands or on your friend's face. The remote does not have anything related to "whitening," just "Project E Beauty" written on it. 🤔
Same!
Love this thanks cassandra .. What do you think about the therabody face mask ??
Hi Cass !!
Could you make a review of the Qure LED mask pleaseee
Agreed, I have one and find it to be of great quality
I ha been using it daily about 4 months, I think it has made a big difference in fine lines and redness from Roscacia.
Thanks! This was great! Here are a couple of thoughts:
1.) could you look at the Qure face mask?
2.) are those bottom 3 in your ranking FDA Cleared? If yes, then that is discouraging. If no, that would be 1 step to weeding out junk.
I looked at the Dr. Gross face mask but found the website not very specific so I went on by. I wish the website would improve. If they did studies, then that info should be easier to find on the website. People like me love to read that stuff. Thank u so much!
What about the panels? Wouldn't they be more versatile?
Is there another place to buy the Dermabeam Pro LED Mask? Amazon is out and says they do not know if they will get anymore in.
Im surprised you did not mention omnilux , that one has the most research on it. I have the Boots no7 it works fantastically. Can you please talk about Omnilux and the Boots no7 mask?
The Dermabeam PRO doesn't seem to be available anywhere anymore. I wonder why?
Thoughts on Celluma or Dermalux.. the more high end ones?
Such a great video. I was on the fence if I should order the Celluma pro panel. I just did it after watching your video ♥️
How has it been so far? I have a wellness studio membership that has Celluma with a stand and it’s been amazing. I can tell when I don’t go in and use it, but I’m considering buying my own with the Pro.
I can’t find the Dermabeam anywhere online anymore 😢
I'm not saying that first one isn't a piece of junk, but facial whitening and skin care means toning, getting rid of age spots etc. There are thousands of skin care serums and creams that say face whitening. Red light is known to do that as well.
How about the Blumene device? I would like to see a how-to-use/review of it. I can't find much about it.
I hve the Blumene & love it.
I can’t find the Dermabeam anywhere it is out of stock !
What about the Red Light beds similar to tanning beds?
Hi Cassandra! Please do a review on the Shark CryoGlow Cooling & LED face mask!
Why is dermabeam pro not available anymore?? Thats strange considering it's at the top of your list
I’ve been WAITING for this video !!
Cassandra, have you tried the Omnilux mask? I have been wondering how it stacks up to the favorites you mentioned in this video. 💜🦋
I'd love to know about the best panel since that seems more versatile that is also budget friendly.
I was wondering if you could try the Therabody LED face mask at some point, I saw it in person once and I was intrigued. It had a lot of LEDs, a comfortable headband, and it protects the eyes.
Dermabeam isn't available in the Netherlands (europe) 😢
The dermabeam is not available, any other suggestions for a reasonably priced option?
Have you tried a home led panel? I’ve heard of one from Maysana. Is that one any good? What do you think?
Thank you ❤ please share the pro options when possible 🎉
What do you think about the LED attachment for NuFace? I just bought the Trinity kit and am considering returning it because I don’t know if I can justify the price for only red light when I also need blue for acne. Would love to hear your opinion!
That scientific on red light would be fantastic
You could check PubMed: "660nm red light"
Omnilux review please!!
I was shocked she didn’t include this one, I feel like this is the highest rated one! I’m looking to getting the men’s version
@@meganhickey6442 Perhaps there's a backstory as to why Omnilux was not included??
I've used Omnilux for years and love the results. And their Customer Service is A plus plus plus!
I love mine
as another reviewer points out "It fits into the group of masks she reviewed under the CurrentBody. They are identical. 132 diodes (66 red at 633nm/666 NIR at 880nm) in the same soft mask. Irridiance about 30 mW/cm2. They just stamp different brand names on them in the factory as Cass mentioned."
Omnilux is fantastic
would love to see a videos about the science behind red light and the other wave lengths as possible. with diagrams and all 💕
I have that Project E mask and it is completely different from yours.
I'm in the US, and same! That one looks like a fake to me 😬
@@CalamityCJ Either that or it is a really old model. It definitely isn't the one that has been sold by Project E for the last 3 years (when I bought mine).
Great video!! Have you thought about making a review on the best portable micro current devices? Would love to watch that!!
Would love a blue light video! ❤
oh my gosh! Definitely the curve face and body sold by Christine Byer, I've been eyeing that for years. Would love you to review it ❤
I was thinking about buying the Omnilux led face and neck mask. Any thoughts on this brand of led mask? Thanks ❤
This is probably the best LED Skindcare device video I have seen! I wish I saw this video 3 years ago before I bought the CurrentBody one. Thank you, Cassandra!
It is still a very well-regarded mask plus its flexible meaning you can use it on other parts of the body
@@debSGSS Hi, thank you for your explanations! So would you recommend the CurrentBody one? I just bought it two months ago.
