@4:25 That creep can roll man! - J. Lebowski. Nice cast! Nice to watch a guide fish a river. Camera angle and size of that fly made this a sweet streamer video.
Let’s Go Alex! Great stuff man. Love how you were dialing that fly into coffee saucer size spots. Was that fly a deer head or brush head? Should be warming up down there Hope the bite heats up.
It's more about spot I'm fishing. Once you start getting into that 18k+ it stays on more. If I was fishing more gradient and fast pockets in that flow, I'd run it. Weight might have worked better but we had one rod going and I was moving fish so it was hard to switch
Oh don't worry, I fish about 4 days a year at this point. Now my clients will (hopefully) burn a bunch of em. It was a big brush head deceiver on a 10wt Redington predator. I typically dont gp over 9wt but I tied some super sized bugs
It's older generation graphite and resins, so it's slower and not as crisp as the new ones. They work fine but I'd probably consider them a line weight lighter than what they say on the blank

Thanks man!
Thank you Alex. You are such a source of inspiration for us.
That might not be a good thing
@alexlafkasfishing don't worry about that. We follow your advises and it works great in France. 😉
loving the info from your content...assuring and inspiring for me
Good to hear
Fun stuff. I was pumped to see a video upload from the White!
Hope to have some more
Send it don’t be afraid 🤘
That's right! What's the worst thatll happen? Won't catch one? Oh well, been there plenty
That looks awesome. Thanks for the video.
Oh, it's all of that, Joe. Right up there with the UP musky deal
Let the fun begin
Yeah buddy!
Huge fish Alex!! See u soon
C'mon, I don't catch huge fish, YOU DO!
What fly line are you using? Thanks, good stuff
That was a disconnected 30' musky sink tip. We ran those same bugs on a 350 rio striper and it worked well
Awesome!! Can’t wait to be out there.
What were the flows like for this video? Looks like lower / slower but hard to tell
It was probably 14k

Thanks man! Brush head, less wind resistant. Those spots matter! Hit the spots other people can't and you'll see em.
What CFS do you start to use weighted

Good start to the season!
Don’t educate em all before us amateurs get down there. What rig were you throwing, and was that an olive white skullhead?

@alexlafkasfishing what line was that? It looks like the running line is thicker than the head, but maybe it's just the video. Great stuff!
@evanhogan9219 it says rio in touch wf10I/s6. Not sure if they even make it anymore
How is that Redington Predator? How do you comapare with the other more expensive rod that you have? Anyway very nice brownies, especialy the last one

@alexlafkasfishing Ok, thanks for the feedback
