I’m sure she tried helping him many times before these photos. Having an addict lover / friend could be incredibly painful and exasperating. Everyone seems to side with Johnny because he seems so sweet and sensitive.

Amber's obligation is only to herself. Her lack of self-reflection is evident. Narcissists are real masters at denying that they have harmed others. But when they feel harmed, or are really harmed, they make drama like it was practically an assassination attempt. However, as long as they are not victims themselves, they are fundamentally completely indifferent to the victims. Always listen carefully how people talk about other individuals, cause that´s exactly the way how they will treat you, if you´re not around.
She explained in the video she took pictures to show him later, because he wouldn’t believe her when she said he would nod off/pass out. Security would carry him to bed.

Sometimes you have to show the addict how low they’ve fallen. Seems cruel but tough love is sometimes necessary. Also, drugs hurt more than the user. Those who love the drug addict suffer greatly. She was looking for support and this was her way of showing those dear to her just how bad it got with him. Most people testify to his charm but the nearest to him saw him hit bottoms most aren’t privy to. I don’t think AH is innocent but I do think JD was reaching new lows. Doing drugs all your life will take a toll and feeling judged exacerbates the use because the shame is too much to bear

I can not imagine taking photos of anyone in that condition, especially a loved one. I would help clean them up, make sure they were safe, and get them help if needed. And, who is to say he was not just exhausted from working so hard or from being in the sun too long. I have seen many people ‘nod off’ from pure exhaustion with absolutely no drugs or alcohol in their system.
imagine doing huge movie shoots for months & months. You'd "nod off" for a nap took. I only did extra work in my 20's and sometimes a day of filming would be 16 hours then travel back from the film site. After a week I'd be so tired & mentally exhausted i would have one small glass of wine during a family dinner and as almost faceplant into my desert. No one in my family would take a picture or judge me. They would sympathise with me exhaustion and help me to bed. Taking pictures is not love or support.

My ex used to tell me that only men can be narcissists when I told her she was treating me like a narcissist would treat someone. It got worse and worse after. The emotional bullying and belittling as well as never ever admitting to any wrong doing was torture. I am happy to be away from that. Sadly there are far more of these types of things that happen. I still think there's far more good women and men in this world than bad ones.

If she had really feared for her life she would be living with her friend, moved, there would be photos of herself all beat up and the bruises on her face. As someone who was in an abusive relationship, I would never take photos of my partner like that. He would eventually find them on my phone and it would be a nightmare for me. It’s clear who the abuser is here

Just because that was true for you doesn’t mean she was in the same dynamic. Abusers are also not always equally violent. I’m a victim too and sometimes the smallest things have made him go off and other times, they’re relaxed and agreeable.

This comment is everything. Eye contact strengthens emotional bonds & increases empathy. He won’t give her the basic human experience of connecting with him through his eyes. My beloved wife always falling sleep, she doesn't smoke or drink but she's entitle to fall sleep!! I will always throw blanket over her but never took pictures and send them to my friends! What happens in our house stays in our house. Amber is a disgrace and disgusting..
All my family members that stay in my house know how easily I fall asleep anywhere in the house because I always work myself out cleaning, cooking, doing laundry etc......no drink, no drug but my husband and other family members always have a good laugh about it... no pictures taken to shame me in any way. I always even report sleeping off in the bus while coming back from work which is very far from home and not getting down at my bus stop.... everyone just always laugh about it without using it against me in anyway because you can be open to your loved ones without being recorded or having pictures taken... that's the real meaning of love, care and concern.
I have one glass of wine and I can fall asleep mid sentence. Anyone that has been to the Caribbean knows that it is sleepytime all the time. This is a guy that is totally exhausted and needs a rest. She just didn’t like the fact that when he was asleep she wasn’t the center of his attention. Another video shows a bruise kit on the floor in the ice cream photo. I honestly find it insane how she just expects to be believed, I dont know if you've seen it but there's a part in her testimony about how johnny basically some how pinned her to a bed by kneeling on her and was repeatedly punching her in the back of the head and the amount of pressure he was exerting with his other foot was enough to splinter a part of their bed frame. Now I'm no doctor but I doubt getting repeatedly punched in the back of the skull is good for the human body so you would expect some sort of major injury or even surgery after that but no she just had headaches for a few days after so either she's got bones of steel or it didn't happen, unless jd is so weak it barely did anything to her physically while still being able to break a bed frame and keep her pinned

‘Nodding off’ simply means starting to fall asleep, under normal circumstances. ‘On the nod’ simply means napping. Amber’s understanding of these phrases is incorrect. Remember, she uses ‘donated’ and ‘pledged’ synonymously.

It is true, that addicts deny, that they passed out or caused any damage under drugs. So it is not false to take pictures of the things the drug user cannot remember.

@@sally5593 a couple points that is just being a good lawyer. There is no evidence showing that he is anything but sleep outside of amber heard a word. She has no "pictures" of him doing drugs and such to prove that he is passed out as she claimed. So saying he is sleeping is more accurate. Second it is also a common tactic of abusers to take pictures of their victim to "try and help" essentially they use it to gaslight and guilt trip their victim. They try to play the hero when in actuality they use the pictures to manipulate and get what they want.

This breaks my heart. JD knew all of this would have to be shown and that the darker things he said and did in private would be aired to the world but he knew it was more important to fight for himself. And In doing so I think he himself has become an ambassador for domestic violence against anyone seeing what he has clearly suffered through and continues to suffer from. if i saw my partner in the state johnny was in (passed out, ice-cream on his lap), i would be worried sick and the first thing i would do is to check on him and make sure he’s okay. that he hasn’t passed out due to a substance overdose or an organic medical cause like a heart attack. in the first instance i wouldn’t even think about taking photos as evidence that he requires help or sending these photos to friends without my partner’s consent.
I would have just cleaned it up. She actually put the ice cream in his hand cause she knew he would fall asleep so she could take a pic to use against him.
I had an ex that was a user and he did the same thing falling asleep anywhere and everywhere. I just removed everything around him, made sure he was breathing and his airways were clear and let him sleep it off but I got sick of it and left the relationship. I wasn't his babysitter. I never once took a photo of him.

The day I got home from the hospital after having a baby I was dealing with postpartum depression. l couldn't use the bathroom in peace without the dad cursing and yelling at me so i walked outside to cool off, turned my head and he was walking right behind me screaming at the top of his lungs!!! Amber shows some signs of narcissism just like that.
The way she answers questions is just an indication of her dishonesty. The pauses and wording choices. This is not how an honest person answers what would be seemingly simple and direct questions. The " I believe" and " as I recall" " not that I know of". These are ways to avoid actually giving a clear yes or no and allowing personal recollection and feelings to claim innocence when having used poor judgement and actions.

I can not imagine taking photos of anyone in that condition, especially a loved one. I would help clean them up, make sure they were safe, and get them help if needed. And, who is to say he was not just exhausted from working so hard or from being in the sun too long. I have seen many people ‘nod off’ from pure exhaustion with absolutely no drugs or alcohol in their system.

imagine doing huge movie shoots for months & months. You'd "nod off" for a nap took. I only did extra work in my 20's and sometimes a day of filming would be 16 hours then travel back from the film site. After a week I'd be so tired & mentally exhausted i would have one small glass of wine during a family dinner and as almost faceplant into my desert. No one in my family would take a picture or judge me. They would sympathise with me exhaustion and help me to bed.

I have one glass of wine and I can fall asleep mid sentence. Anyone that has been to the Caribbean knows that it is sleepytime all the time. This is a guy that is totally exhausted and needs a rest. She just didn’t like the fact that when he was asleep she wasn’t the center of his attention. Another video shows a bruise kit on the floor in the ice cream photo. I honestly find it insane how she just expects to be believed, I dont know if you've seen it but there's a part in her testimony about how johnny basically some how pinned her to a bed by kneeling on her and was repeatedly punching her in the back of the head and the amount of pressure he was exerting with his other foot was enough to splinter a part of their bed frame. Now I'm no doctor but I doubt getting repeatedly punched in the back of the skull is good for the human body so you would expect some sort of major injury or even surgery after that but no she just had headaches for a few days after so either she's got bones of steel or it didn't happen, unless jd is so weak it barely did anything to her physically while still being able to break a bed frame and keep her pinned

She has no "pictures" of him doing drugs and such to prove that he is passed out as she claimed. So saying he is sleeping is more accurate. Second it is also a common tactic of abusers to take pictures of their victim to "try and help" essentially they use it to gaslight and guilt trip their victim. They try to play the hero when in actuality they use the pictures to manipulate and get what they want.

if i saw my partner in the state johnny was in (passed out, ice-cream on his lap), i would be worried sick and the first thing i would do is to check on him and make sure he’s okay. that he hasn’t passed out due to a substance overdose or an organic medical cause like a heart attack. in the first instance i wouldn’t even think about taking photos as evidence that he requires help or sending these photos to friends without my partner’s consent.

I just removed everything around him, made sure he was breathing and his airways were clear and let him sleep it off but I got sick of it and left the relationship. I wasn't his babysitter. The way she answers questions is just an indication of her dishonesty. The pauses and wording choices. This is not how an honest person answers what would be seemingly simple and direct questions. The " I believe" and
