Having an all-legend lineup must have been such a treat for all of the guitar technicians and builders. There's gotta be nothing like experiencing your product played by a top tier musician.
I believe this was a one time thing showcasing Fender's custom GOT guitars. They made one for each of the houses. Ian was playing the Stark guitar, Nuno played the Lannister guitar, And I think Tom played the Targarian one. There's another video showing the guitars.
The collective dollars of those guitars they used are as follows each one is a fender custom shop edition at $30,000 each. Made specifically to the game of thrones theme.
Hearing each of their solos I couldn't help thinking about Brian May. I don't know if he plays Fender but his signature sound... yeah, that'd be the cherry on the sundae.
The 3 Fender Game of Thrones guitars are a bit expensive indeed 😂 The one played by Scott is at $25k The one played by Nuno is at $30k The one played by Tom is at $35k
Lame, boring cross promotion between HBO and Fender. Proof that it was lame (besides just having ears) is that this happened five years ago and it caused a nothingburger response that has become a forgotten, meh, moment (for good reason). A lot of great talent in one room, paid to do this lackluster commercial. And you can see, they aren’t particularly having a great time.
That's a really negative way to look at it... I was just amped there was (as you said) that much talent in one room. How often do you see that kinda awesome in assembly?
@@zack_reacts A bunch of great players in one room not doing anything interesting musically because even they seem uncomfortable with the cringe factor but they’re doing what they got paid for can only be negative. I bet there was better musical interaction and conversation before and after the cameras were rolling.
I love this one because it just shows how amazing all these guitarists are from all different genres.

Scott Ian always looks like he's having the time of his life when he's playing.

This was f*cking epic epic! Love Paisley’s paisley guitar! ❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
Those three fenders are in the museum
That was impressive! 💜💜💜

Unfortunately, I think this was just a one and done.
