Hey everyone! Thanks for all the great comments. Should we compare these to something else? Or are they just so locked into the Apple ecosystem? Also: voice quality with the voice memo app recording is not as good as an actual phone call, but at least you get a feel for it. Thanks for watching and sharing!
Oddly, my favorite feature of my AirPods Pro has been the case SIZE & SHAPE. I haven’t reviewed earbuds on my channel yet, but I tried several other high-end earbuds. The cases were so big or had sharp edges that made them unsightly or just impossible to keep in my jeans pocket. Apple smartly prioritized the case size and smoothness to make theirs the “keep them with you at all times” earbuds. I’m sure I’ll be upgrading soon! Thanks for the review.
Facts. It's actually kind of shocking. Over the years pretty much all the competitors have caught up on features and fidelity, but no one thought to follow suit on the case size. I don't care if my case battery lasts 3 days if it feels ridiculous to fit in my pocket.

I took this as a sign and ordered the new ones now and tomorrow I'll get them. I have never even tried ANC in my life before so this is gonna be an unbelievable update for me :)
glad you’re excited man, so am i! I’ve owned the 1st Gen Pros since they came out, but lost my right one a week before these were announced. Hope you enjoy them!
AirPods Pro 2 are amazing. I couldn’t resist myself and I tried them on as soon as I bought them. As soon as I put them in my ears, ANC turned on and I just stood there in shock. Listening to the entire world around you just disappear was one of those experiences I really will never forget. Of course you can always still hear some things, but it feels like you’re walking through a really quiet exhibit at a museum, when in reality you’re in a very loud shopping mall. I had the original AirPods 1, so to have skipped all the way to these was such a huge improvement. There are very little experiences I’ve had with technology that blow me away. AirPods Pro 2 is one of them. My hats off to Apple for making a extremely good product.
This was a killer review, and the best video review I've seen for the Airpods pro 2. Thanks for the abundant detail about your experience with them overall and your impressions of the sound quality. Also included were numerous details not heard anywhere else by me, like how Apple worked to reduced wind noise. Hope my local store has them as I walk ("run" lol) in now.
I’m an all Apple user and have the AirPods Pro and AirPods gen 1 and 2 but still always grab the Samsung buds live love the fit the ANC and the sound quality. I don’t like tips in my ear but I like ANC so these are perfect also never have I ran out of battery on them. Plus the case has USBC and wireless charging.
i got my gen 2s today and i’m using them right now 🥰 the sound is so clear and i love the different features. Transparency mode makes it so easy to listen to music while still hearing everything in the outside world and I love the spatialize stereo mode 🥰 it’s such a crisp sound experience. There’s so many other features but it’s definitely worth the money. These are my first pair of airpods
And still no microphone mute option? I find it amazing that - with the number of calls and zoom meetings I use headphones for there is no way of muting the mic without a phone (not even a watch option). Am I missing something?
Yep, he said it perfectly. These are the first earbuds that I literally take everywhere. I’m very annoyed with noise, so I use them mainly to cancel out noises. I remember I went on vacation and went to a club. I was so happy I had them. It cut the noise so much I enjoyed myself for once, and didn’t have a headache the next morning. I’m definitely looking into the newer model.

I just wish that Apple had included an EQ feature for this generation. Unfortunately, the podcast app is not affected by the EQ feature on iPhone and I am hearing impaired. I really would like a “spoken word” setting for BT earbuds. I can’t wear my hearing aids with earbuds, obviously, and over-ear headphones are pretty warm in summer (fine in winter though). It would be easy to get around my suggestion by including EQ in the podcast app *or* making the iPhone EQ feature work with podcasts, but I threw up my arms long ago on this. I know I’m not the only one to suggest this, but Apple seems to be willfully ignoring us and, instead, keeps adding superficial or silly features instead. Maybe they (justifiably) feel responsible for hearing loss in users and their legal team keeps advising them to keep a distance.
@@Jaur-jaur that’s nice. It would be great if one of these reviewers mentioned that. Could you expand on that feature? Edit: Unfortunately, the Accessibility feature for these doesn’t have an upper midrange boost for the hearing impaired. Thanks though :)
In accessibility settings, there are settings for “spoken range” and “brightness”, as well as a “custom” setup for supported headphones. None of these help for podcasts? There seems to be a lot of options in there for hearing impaired. Apple have included a lot of different options, but I’m with you, why not just have an EQ in settings? I have an older pair of Jaybird buds that just came with an EQ app that I will surely miss when I update. There are also a few EQ apps in the Apple App Store that might work for you.. ?
I LOVE my gen 1 airpods pro. I bought mine black friday 2021 so I've had them about a year. They are still 100% perfect but what I wasnt expecting was that I would bring them EVERYWHERE with me. Even when I know I wont use them, I still bring em. The 2's came out and I ordered those. Plan on selling my gen 1s. Looking forward to the better battery life and noise cancelation.
I am leaning towards getting the AirPods Pro 2 but I am really sceptical because I don’t want to repeat the static and hissing noice issues that were in the gen 1 AirPods Pro. I am still facing those issue despite getting them replaced 2 times. I think waiting for 2-4 months and getting a full on review and then buying one is a better option.
i have the same issue. its my second pair of pros since the fist broke completely. whats weird is that they only change the buds but not the case. i am really thinking that the case causes the buds to fail
well actually there was a test that was done on the airpods for the noise cancellation and the decibals were about half of the the airpod pro first gen
Reason I bought it is because I have extremely small ear canals and none of the other ear buds from apple can fit my ears. With the new extra small size, it fits me great! I love them so far. The noise cancelation is crazy good in my humble opinion. The spatial audio is kinda scary but I like it a lot. Listening to things are on another level.
Good job! So many of the other reviews are mainly summarizing changes in specs and features. You spent time using these, reported on your findings, and actually tested battery life.

Great video! Not sure if its just me, but does the voice over and audio in this video sound very tinny? On my laptop speakers and headphones the audio for the video is very tinny
just found these for $100 on offerup brand new sealed, and was hesitant at first when I got them, but these turned out to be 100% legit. I had the same pair of regular gen 2 AirPods for 3 years and these were such a pleasant upgrade. Amazing sound, battery life, fit, and work great with my iPhone 11
I love my Powerbeats pro, they don’t fall off my ear, the temporary pain over the ears last only a few days to a week at first, Then never again. Also they use the same tech in AirPods Pro, Apple owns beats, they connect seamlessly to Apple products with little to no latency, though they don’t have noise cancellation I have not really found a time where I needed it, also it lasts 9 hours vs apples 6!
When I first used the Gen1 out of the box the noise cancellation was excellent. Throughout the firmware updates it has gotten a lot worse due to the requirement for battery life. I hope this doesn't happen to Gen2.
100% I even wrote Apple about this but they never gave a good explanation. When I first got the Gen 1's, the ANC was almost magic. It's not nearly as good now. Thanks for validating I'm not crazy.
I want to like AirPod pros 2. Unfortunately I’m weird and traded my AirPods Pro for AirPods 3. No matter what the plugged feeling is there and I don’t like something in the ear….original AirPods and the 3s are something unique in that they just rest on your ear
I was looking at some TV reviews the other day and saw your channel, this channel is starting to become one of my favorites go to channels for reviews.
I have the Max’s and now own the Airpid Pro 2’s. I no longer care to use the Max’s. The pods are just that good! Apple really did something special here! I can only imagine what the new Max’s will be like. The H2 chip shines like a 🌟!
Mine are being delivered tomorrow! I’ve upgraded from my first generation Galaxy Buds (I’ve moved from my Galaxy S20 to 14 Pro Max) so extremely excited.
Hey idk if it juss me but when I turn on noise cancellation it works but I feel like I can kinda hear outside also when I have it off I can still hear like normal ? Is it like u too
Love your channel. I'm actually picking mine up today - I just hope they don't constantly fall out of my ears as i have tried other types before and that went south.
Two times better ANC performance could simply mean an additional 10 dB reduction in noise. Which I would believe, I can barely hear my dryer standing right next to it.
I’ve had the AirPods Pro Gen 1 with my iPhone 13 and they’ve been amazing. But my right mic is blown/crackly after 2 years, ok tried to upgrade. They were awful! Maybe I got a defective set (?), luckily Target took them back after 3 days with no questions. 1. The volume would not adjust below a medium volume level - basically unusable for me right there (Gen 1 adjusts down to a whisper for quiet areas or late night). 2. The controls on the stem were unusable, completely over-sensitive! 3. When watching a video at lunch they’d keep stopping the video because I was eating and the AirPods rubbed my ear? No idea but very frustrating. 4. Noise Reduction was not as good as my Gen 1 in data center / fan environment. 5. Left bud battery was decreasing about 50% faster than the right one. I thought I’d love these - instead it was my first ever Apple disappointment. Back to the old Gen 1 pair!
I'm thinking about just waiting for Apple to get rid of the stem to update from my AirPods Pro gen 1... I'm in love with the new features but I don't know if that's good enough for me to buy them.
Question for everybody if you don’t have Bluetooth 5.3.on any of your devices, will you not get all the sound quality and benefits of these new AirPods?
I have the pros 1, and they’re not bad earbuds but every time I have loud noises (not even that loud) when I have transparency mode on one of them makes an annoying crackling noise, and it’s way worse with noise cancellation and calls I think I’m gonna have to upgrade them not bc they’re bad, just bc I need new ones
I have the 1st gens also and they had that crackling noise also and i just got them back from apple who ended up replacing them but now I’ve got the 2nd gens
Have you also tried changing the DSP settings in the iPhone menu ? It made my AirPods Pro gen 1 sound way better, I’m curious what it will do with the gen 2
I’m not questioning your evaluation and I greatly appreciate your efforts to keep the test parameters equal, BUT … unless you used a brand new pair of GEN1s your evaluation will be slightly skewed by wear and tear and possible drop damage. That wear and tear “could” account for the perceived increase in quality with the GEN2s. That being said, I’m still going to upgrade because my GEN1 have been limping along for months now. Thank you for your video!
My AirPods Pro 2 come today. They’ll be my first ever apple earbuds. I switched to apple phone and watch last year, and have definitely decided to stick with them. I’m not super confident that the AirPods are going to beat out my galaxy buds pro, but giving it a shot!
Great video! Oddly enough, I've had two gen 1 AirPods Pros and both had noticeably worse ANC about 6-8 months in. Is that something that you've experienced as well with ANC earbuds in general?
I like the air pods bro But could not keep them in my ears if around town unlike the basic gen2 pods. So I’m hoping the new ear tips will be otherwise I’ll still be using Beats Pro….
I had the same problem with the air pods pro when I got them but I loved the sound quality so much I won’t go back to any other headphone brand when I got the gen 1 so what I did to keep them in my ears is buy from Amazon some fins and it worked perfectly with an awesome seal for noise cancellation. I say try it to save some money.
Great review! Actually listened to this on the new AirPods Pro and agree 100%. 🙌🏻 First time watching your content and I was pretty distracted by your mic quality if I’m allowed some minor criticism. Sounds like you played around with your audio track in editing and it creates some weird noise. Probably need to listen on really good earbuds like these to notice though. 😉
I listen to this video with my new airpods and I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of these. I really love the feature of the volume controls. And the better noise canceling aspect. I had just bought the first gen a few months ago and really like them. But the newest version has a richness to all the things you spoke of👍
C, Thanks for a great review as always. My favorite all time earbuds are the Apple Pro 2’s ! I didn’t want to like them. I also have the apple pro max and those are better for really blocking out the noise but I don’t like over the ear headphones any more, so I hardly wear them. Will wear them even less now that I have the pro 2’s. The 1st gen are good but these are def better. Thanks again!

Same here. I’ve always wanted the airpod pros for the noise cancelling but I just hate the plastic tips on earbuds.
I was looking at some TV reviews the other day and saw your channel, this channel is starting to become one of my favorites go to channels for reviews.
I love this! Thanks, and subscribe if you’d like. I’ll keep ‘em coming!
can you connect two devices at once?
I have the Max’s and now own the Airpid Pro 2’s. I no longer care to use the Max’s. The pods are just that good! Apple really did something special here! I can only imagine what the new Max’s will be like. The H2 chip shines like a 🌟!
Mine should arrive tomorrow gonna be comparing it to gen 1 so i hope it meets my expectations

Mine are being delivered tomorrow! I’ve upgraded from my first generation Galaxy Buds (I’ve moved from my Galaxy S20 to 14 Pro Max) so extremely excited.
That's a big downgrade tbh
Hey idk if it juss me but when I turn on noise cancellation it works but I feel like I can kinda hear outside also when I have it off I can still hear like normal ? Is it like u too
I have these and Gen 1. I still prefer the sound of my Jabra earbuds more.
Never have I thought i need ANC in my life until i started goin the gym. Love my Airpod gen 3 but the only downside is they cannot blocked out noise
Love your channel. I'm actually picking mine up today - I just hope they don't constantly fall out of my ears as i have tried other types before and that went south.
I’ve always had off brand ear buds from Amazon but there at an all time low right now so I think I’m getting one!
Back to the old Gen 1 pair!
those must be defective as most of the critics are positive on them, i would try them out a second time being honest :)
Do you work at Samsung? 😂😂
you got a defective one. I got one a month ago and never had any of the problems that you had
@@9latinumStudioz must be That he does 😂😂
Thank you!👍🏼 I will order mine now!
I’ll be upgrading from the OG AirPods non pro first generation that came out in 2016 to these ones! The biggest leap yet and I can’t wait!
I'm thinking about just waiting for Apple to get rid of the stem to update from my AirPods Pro gen 1... I'm in love with the new features but I don't know if that's good enough for me to buy them.
Compare it to Samsung buds pro 2?
Question for everybody if you don’t have Bluetooth 5.3.on any of your devices, will you not get all the sound quality and benefits of these new AirPods?
I am wondering the same thing
You'll get all the new features your Bluetooth version doesn't matter
I'm not expert but i think 5.3 is for better connectivity and for long range connection.
Love your vlog and professional review. Please do a comparison it with AirPods Pro 2.

Should I return my Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3's for these?
I have the pros 1, and they’re not bad earbuds but every time I have loud noises (not even that loud) when I have transparency mode on one of them makes an annoying crackling noise, and it’s way worse with noise cancellation and calls
I think I’m gonna have to upgrade them not bc they’re bad, just bc I need new ones
What exactly did you change? What settings did you tweak? As a fellow AirPods Pro Gen 1 owner, I’m intrigued…
i want to know
Please elaborate
zoom quality should be higher fidelity rather than sounding like a phone call
The 1st gen pros are a much better value, we’ve waited years for an underwhelming update to this product. Save your money people
Great review! Very detailed, and focussed on the most critical performance factors. Thanks.
great job as always Caleb, informative ,in depth and real. thank you for your time!
👍🏼 Something could also be said for “break in” time on the drivers for the new ones. Always so many factors that can affect the outcome of a review.
My AirPods Pro 2 come today. They’ll be my first ever apple earbuds. I switched to apple phone and watch last year, and have definitely decided to stick with them. I’m not super confident that the AirPods are going to beat out my galaxy buds pro, but giving it a shot!

Hey idk if it juss me but when I turn on noise cancellation it works but I feel like I can kinda hear outside
With My Damonlight Earhooks They Actually Stay In My Ears And Due To More Secure Fit The Sound Seems Better As A Bonus .
Great video! Oddly enough, I've had two gen 1 AirPods Pros and both had noticeably worse ANC about 6-8 months in. Is that something that you've experienced as well with ANC earbuds in general?
Dam Portland, OR? Lol One of my favorite to visit lol Now I see the waterfront properties in the back
The better noise cancellation and longer battery gave me the reason to buy and upgrade from AirPods Pro gen 1
rich
I like the air pods bro But could not keep them in my ears if around town unlike the basic gen2 pods. So I’m hoping the new ear tips will be otherwise I’ll still be using Beats Pro….
I had the same problem with the air pods pro when I got them but I loved the sound quality so much I won’t go back to any other headphone brand when I got the gen 1 so what I did to keep them in my ears is buy from Amazon some fins and it worked perfectly with an awesome seal for noise cancellation. I say try it to save some money.
Literally as soon as I opened the box I was like this is heavier. It’s not a gripe but it is weirdly noticeable
Great review. Was waiting for you to mention the audio controls on the airpods themselves .. For me that's a major selling point.
I listen to this video with my new airpods and I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment of these. I really love the feature of the volume controls. And the better noise canceling aspect. I had just bought the first gen a few months ago and really like them. But the newest version has a richness to all the things you spoke of👍
Great review. Wish you commented on the Spatial audio features for music and movies.

Thank you!!!! I loved this video because it answers all the questions I have had about the Apple Airpods Pro.
Aren‘t those supposed to have a volume control, also?
hi, I am using Sony MX 4 . are the new Apple air buds, better in sound quality?
Appreciate you actually testing the battery. Also I 100% share your feelings with mufflers that do anything but muffle lol
I will going to get mine tomorrow once they are released.
No volume control notes?
I believe 2x converts to 3db. Not as much as it sounds
Are the tips exactly the same so 3rd party tips for the OG AirPods Pro mount on the new gen 2?
How are these in comparison to the AirPods 3rd gen? My 3rd gens have such low volume that I’m considering upgrading to the Pros 2.
So what about the wind noise reduction? You mentioned it was there but didn’t elaborate on the quality.
