- This is a real harbor freight gem. Similar mounts are $90. I paid $50 without a coupon, but it regularly goes on sell for $39.99. I wish I would have mounted the TV to the wall years ago. Much safer. I would buy it again.

I just bought this mount and needed to see how to install it and your video does just that. Thanks. Also Congratulations on your baby🙂!!
i was on the fence about getting this one but the video convinced me.
thank you for your time and effort!
Thank you for this recent video! Plan of buying this mount tomorrow.
Nice job on the video! Thanks for showing the weak areas in the mount design!
Hi Striker Thank you so much…I just googled this product and decided to check out UA-cam channel and clicked on your video and like your demo!
Hey, Striker 😁 Amazing video, as always!
Now that’s using your head brother👊🏼 great tutorial!
Simple and easy video 💙installation tomorrow same Mount. Your right it’s heavy.
Mine works well & I got it for barely over $40. I mounted mine to the bricks on my fireplace & it’s super sturdy.
I just bought this Mount at harbor freight thanks for the video
Nice instructions and points made. ty
I use Mounting Dream mounts off of Amazon, I've bought 3 (different styles for installation) and never had a issue.
Hello Striker, Thanks for this vid. I am thinking of getting this product. any long term review? Tv still mounted without problems?
You used excess man. There were spacers I saw on the mount attached to the TV that weren’t necessary. (Middle)
Thank you!!
my computer is mounted to this bracket. no issues
Good eye to point out the weak link of those 3 screws holding the tv on. Bad design. I installed eye bolts above the mount and ran a steel rope through the plate to reinforce the mount in case it breaks or that bolt gives out. I'll look into that thing you put on there. What exactly is that?
I used stainless steel zip ties. They are amazing.
Currently I have a 55” TV I want to mount now but in a month or so I’ll be upgrading to at least 65” would the mount position to the wall need to be changed? If not, do I need to mount the wall side TV mount higher to accept the larger tv in a month? TIA!
Yeah you will probably be switching from Vesa 200 to Vesa 400 where you don't have room to adjust it, so you'll want to mount it a little higher. Going from 55 to 65 will require you to bump it up about 3 inches but bezels vary so you have to get your new TVs exact dimensions, subtract new tvs height from current tvs height, divide by two. Raise it that much.
Is there a way to tilt this more to one side? Mine looks crooked but when I have my leveler on the wall it's straight but the brackets holding the TV is not.
If yours is flexing that much you may need to tighten up the bolts on the arms that pull out. I don't remember there being adjusters.
@@striker1211 I found out what I did! The 2 screws on the bottom were too far over its perfect now! Thanks!
How the hell did you lift that giant TV by yourself to put it on the mounting brackets?! As a single woman with a 50-inch TV I'm completely stumped how I'm going to lift mine!
Newer TVs are incredibly light. They are just awkward to hold. Be careful not to put any twisting force on the TV, keep your grips square, hands at 12 and 6 or 3 and 9 oclock.
does this allow the tv to be moved to the left or right from center mount and be flush with the wall. i'm looking to put this behind a door but want to be able to extend it over a closet.
No, only when centered can it be flush to the wall. The length of the arms in the middle do not allow it to sit flush while right or left of center. I have my TV off the mount right now so it was pretty easy to check for you. Good timing.
@@striker1211 thank you! So much. I' really appreciate it
Are those bars that go on the mounting plate go there only if the holes are spread out?
Any TV over 32 inches is going to need to use the bars. Only computer monitors or 25ish inch TVs would use such a small VESA mount to not need them.
@@striker1211I have a 65 inch with vesa 400x200 and in the instructions its pictured and it says to use the horizontal bars on 400x200, is that right or always use all 4 bars?
Where you get the stainless steel "zip tie"?
Amazon, search for 100 pc stainless zip tie there are tons under ten bucks
Good
The proof load of a grade 5, 1/4 inch bolt is over 1,000 pounds. They’ll be fine.
Bro where the video of you putting the mount together? We all know how to do the rest we need an assembly video man
The assembly instructions from Harbor Freight were unusually detailed so I did not upload that part. I might see if I have it in my b-roll folder.

. . . . .language, buddy. language :)
the parts bags each have several numbers on them for me, and nothing fits right. i feel like i got an absolute lemon.
So what tools do I actually need to do this?
