Using Displacement to create a Sci-Fi Scene in Blender (JSPlacement)

  • Not a tutorial as usual but I just recorded the process while I was playing with displacement maps. Map image created in JSPlacement (free software). Hoping to record some new tutorials after Christmas 🎄

    Hi there. At 1:25, how do you get the nodes to just show up? Is there a shortcut I should know?

      Enable Node Wrangler in addons and then it’s Ctrl + T to add an image with mapping nodes like I did at 1:25

    Hello I have a problem, I press layout , and it gives me the initial layer in clear in gray 2:25

      Are you in material preview mode or render mode? At the top right above the XYZ gizmo. If you aren’t in one of those modes the object will be gray

      Download JSPlacement, you can randomly generate as many of these textures as you like for free
