Helen Prout Give it a go Helen, for years I used the angle on a piping bag and drawer on my own individually, it took forever and was no where near as flawless. They are a great little piece of equipment x

just watched the whole tutorial - I appreciate you were using dummies but on real cakes do you only dowel the bottom cake, not the second one before you put the third one on? Really great tip about the ribbon as well ....I always struggle with sticking the end bit down but will damp them in future!

Helen Prout No I do well every tier , I just wanted to show people where the dowells need to be in the circle. So for the last tier place the dowells in the same shape, you won't need as many and it will support the top tier. Sorry for the confusion x

Its all good its still classed as `engagement` so all dislikes and even nasty comments just help the videos reach more people. Its karma is in BEST form ever x

This is stunning! I’ve got a quilted 50th wedding anniversary cake to make next week & this has helped me so much!
I just wondered if you had a template of how much fondant to use for all different sizes of cakes - square & round - I just find I need more practice with knowing how much fondant to use for a 8/10/12 inch (different depths) Xx

Thank you for this wonderful tutorial. It is so good how you explain everything understandably. Thank you for you speak very nicely and slowly because I am learning in English langauge yet (I am a hungarian). Your job is fantastic. This is the first video what I have watched from you and I really loved it! I am going to follow you in the future to learn more from you. You are absolutely professional and I am a student who want to know everything about cake making and decorating.

cina ballard You would need to work out the Circumstance of the cake using 'pie' and see if you could divide it by the length of your embosser so you ended up with an equal number. So pretend the Circumstance was 100cm and your embosser was exactly 10cm. It would mean you would use your embosser 10 times but with a flawless finish because there are ten , tens in one hundred. But if your embosser was 9cm then there are 11.11 Nines and the .11 would mean having a gap on the cake and no flawless finish.
