Love the heart quilt and variations you suggested Patty! Such a warm, beautiful and comforting look entering your home♥️ Prayers continue for you, your Mom and family♥️🧵🙏🏻
Hi Patty, I just read your email. I’m so glad you put the Valentine’s Day project out. It’s never too late. It’s absolutely beautiful and your work is so appreciated. Sending you love and prayers ❤
I love the heart and Star quilt idea for a charity baby quilt. For displaying in my home, I could see a house block in the center of the heart. This would be a great project for a weekend sew along. To lessen your frustration, you could pre-make the parts and pieces to show us the steps as we sew along.
I love the idea of the house block for a center panel!! Oh my gosh, I can't premake all those parts. It's so time consuming to do that and it uses so much fabric. I have to simplify the video process so cutting out all the footage of me sewing and cutting eases that for me. Plus the expense of my time and materials to sew parts that never get used is not something I can possibly afford to do. It would be nice, but it's not financially feasible for me to go to such great lengths. But I appreciate the feedback.
What a great idea❤❤❤. Love your heart and ideas with the center❤❤❤. Thank you for sharing. When you get time a make along would be Awesome ❤❤❤. Prayers to you so you can work through your tough times❤
Thank you so much!!! I'm thinking that the second weekend of March would be a good time to try it out. I can just run a live from the webcam and you can see me sewing and I'll check messages every 20 or 30 minutes.
I think I’m going to use your heart/star project for a little girl that I’m teaching to sew. I like the examples you showed for changing the center star. I know she’ll love it; simple and beautiful ❤
Enjoy!!! Also, don't forget about the pillow case project I have and placemats and hemmed napkins. They are a little bit easier for a new sewist, and all kids love their own custom pillow cases.
Thank you for doing a blog for us to capture the details of your makes. It is much easier than trying to read it on UA-cam. Such an easy project to use up scraps.
Oh thank you so much!! I do try my best to have a companion blog post to videos like this. It takes me a bit longer to get my videos and everything posted, but I think it's a better project in the long run for viewers. I think I'm going to have a QAL weekend the second weekend of March to celebrate National Quilting Month.
@PattymacMakes I can do hst. I may have to use good ole Jack the ripper, but I'll finally get it right. Lol Thank you for the QAL answer. I did make my granddaughter a Valentines quilt, just a small one and it used "snowmen" or something like that. I had never made them and it wound up being fun. 😃
@@maz8546 Yes!!! Thank you for that comment!! It is designed to be beginner friendly for sure! If someone can make an HST, they can definitely do this project!
God bless you!
Thank you!

So glad you decided to go ahead and make the quilt block - hearts are good all year long! ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! I think so too!
I love your sweet voice and gentle demeanor. Your heart project is lovely.

@@PattymacMakes yes, I’m looking forward to that one too!
You’re not late. You are just that ahead for 2025. Give grace, accept grace.
Thank you!!
So cute! I’m thinking if I add a border or two, it would be a great baby quilt too.
Definitely!!! It's extremely versatile!

@@PattymacMakes I would enjoy your QAL as you thoroughly explain things. I appreciate all the work you go through. Thank you
Would love a QAL. Take care of you!!!
Thank you! Next month is National Quilting Month so let's do it then. I'll just come on here live and sew what I'm going to sew and we go from there.
It’s beautiful! I love it so much! 🥰❤️🤗
Thank you!! It's really so pretty in person!
I'm thinking of using a mini charm pack that i have to do this heart as little baby tag toys and mug rugs for some friends.
I LOVE that idea!!!
This is so beautiful. I'm a newbie so it might be way above my ability. Could someone tell me what QAL stands for, please? 😃
QAL means Quilt Along. Can you make half square triangles? If you can make half square triangles you can do this! I have tutorials if you need them.
@PattymacMakes I can do hst. I may have to use good ole Jack the ripper, but I'll finally get it right. Lol
Thank you for the QAL answer. I did make my granddaughter a Valentines quilt, just a small one and it used "snowmen" or something like that. I had never made them and it wound up being fun. 😃
It seems like an easy fun project, even for a beginner. You don't have to choose a ton of fabrics, and it uses half square triangles and solid pieces.
@@maz8546 That's very true. Thank you for shedding light on that fact. 😃
