  • Was going to take the Hobie out to Fort Casey, but the wind forecast instead sent me to the beach, leaving the Hobie at home. Chartreuse Rotator with a pink skirt. Cast out, and reel back fast, almost breaking the surface on the retrieve. 2 nice coho, lost one right near the beach and had another hooked up for a few seconds. A little bit of everything weather wise. Hit up any of the Whidbey beaches right now, they are all producing fish.

    Nice of you to help a fellow fisherman out. I have never fished that side of the US but, if I lived someplace where I could catch my own salmon I would eat my weight in it. You caught a couple of beauties there. Hello from FL!

    Was 5 for 10 in an hr and a half at West Beach casting and retrieving cured cut plugs on Sept 27th this year. Had to release 4 cause they were wild.

    Nice. Is a rotator the same as a buzz bomb?

    • @JoshHoines
      @JoshHoines  5 років тому

      Its very similar. Its a little wider and flatter.

    @JasonD-yc3oy 2 роки тому

    Hello there, hopefully I can still get your answers... what's the size of the rotator that you're using? 2.5" or 3.5"? Thanks in advance

    Could you also jig the rotator or buzz bomb?

    isn't there a size on pinks? i thought it's 22 or is it 16 inches

    • @JoshHoines
      @JoshHoines  5 років тому

      These are coho, not pinks.

    • @JoshHoines
      @JoshHoines  5 років тому

      As far as minimum size, there is no size limit on pinks, nor is there on coho. Chinook min size is 22 when its open for them.

    You think October will be good as well? Or just September.

    • @JoshHoines
      @JoshHoines  5 років тому

      Ive done well about 2 weeks into October. The fish seem to be a bit late this year so I think it might still be decent. Actually caught fish right up to Halloween before.

    • @JoshHoines
      @JoshHoines  4 роки тому

      They can start showing mid August. Mid to late September though is best. This year though the area i was fishing in the video is closed.

      @@Kodachrome I was wearling glove because some of the time i was fishing a herring under a float, and the herring brine was blue, juat keeping it off. Head towards Coupeville, Ft Casey, that area is open for Coho
