Have you installed a lift kit since the video. Considering going 35s on my 2019 NP300. Back won’t be an issue I’m just curious to see how much lift you need minimal for it to not scrub off-road
On the bt50 I now have a lift. When I had the np300 even with cutting things and two in body lift I couldn’t get it to work well offroad. But a lot of people are running it so maybe I didn’t do it right.
@@f.s.aearthmoving4x4 what extra did you end up cutting? I've got a 2" with pos 25 would need to cut the rear of the front fenders but how did you go full articulation?
That was stock mate a little bit more cutting and it would of worked offroad too. I run 2.5in lift these days and no issues . It’s all about what u are willing to cut.
@@f.s.aearthmoving4x4 Thanks MAtt - I currently run 285/70/17 on p40 offset and measure 850mm from bottom of rim to wheel arch. I’m considering 285/75/18 to try to avoid flares but not sure of offset required to avoid scrubbing at full lock. Could you please also measure your bottom rim to wheel arch. I really appreciate your help and my wife and I love your videos. 👌😊🇦🇺
@@f.s.aearthmoving4x4 Thanks Matt - no rush. Could you also please give me an idea of the clearance to the upper control arm. I live in Lismore northern NSW, have you ever looked into cost and requirements for engineering certification.
Instructions unclear... now have 40inch tyres and no guards
Sick 🙌
Do you recommend using throttle controller when fitting bigger tires 33 or 35,does it helps especially during take off and offroading, thanks mate
They do make a huge difference to throttle response. Off roading I find it awesome to control it when crawling some tracks

How much would you expect the bigger tyres to affect your fuel economy
They have made it sit on around 13-13-4 on the free way now. Originals I had it at 10ltr per 100s
13L per 100km
Whats your revs sitting at in 6th gear at 100kms?
It’s auto man but round 1800
Is there to be any harm by not running inside wall fenders like that, as in if I removed them completely?
You could take it all out but I think it helps with road noise and the amount of mid that gets in the guards 🤷♂️ maybe not to sure
Fourbie Sessions Australia just to confirm you did this without any suspension mods?
I’ve got a Ford Ranger 2020 and I’m ready to start cutting lol.
@@dad3562 yeah mate that was stock offroad I ended up cutting more but it works man

I just got a bt-50 auto, thinking 33's 285/75/16, They will fit on stock height with out rubbing?
Yes mate they should.
Did you have lift, would they scrubb offroad with 2 inch lift kit?

@@f.s.aearthmoving4x4 Cool, so with the new lift there is not much scrubbing offroad and its usuable?. Are they 35's or 315's?
Hey Matt - could u pls tell me how much clearance u have between the back inside edge of your tyre and the chassis at full lock.
Hi mate , yeah no worries I’ll have a look today for you and get back to you tonight 🍻

Hey Scotty full lock from tyre to chassis knotch is 3cm well just over . Rim to wheel arch is 830mm.
I recommend you include a proper torch with your 35s. Can’t see a thing on what you’re pointing and talking.
Yeah mate lighting was bad 👎
My bt 50 3.2 auto is for daily driver, running 35s on freeway a problem?thanks for the advice
SpecificGamer_ 24 I do 240kms a day with them on all freeway. Don’t get me wrong I average 13ltr per 100 lol.
Do you think it can cause problem with the transmission in the long run,or any part that is easily broken, thanks for your reply
SpecificGamer_ 24 I will be honest there is a risk like with any modification. I am looking at putting a oil cooler on the auto tho to help.
Thanks for the info, helps a lot..keep safe cheers from the philippines
Another question what are your thoughts with the IDRIVE THROTTLE CONTROLLER,can this help when fitting bigger tires especially during take off?
A u running 315 75 r16 or 315 70 17 and what offset rim thanks
KTMGOPRO 315/75r16 and on a pos20 man
Do u have and spacers under your tray from stock ?
Nick Langenberg it looks to have really small ones maybe half an inch maybe even less.
Do we have same gear ratios ?mine is dual cab 3.2 auto
Auto aswell man
What about power losses mate?
It is a little more sluggish but nothing to bad. I still towed the 2.5t off road van no issues
Had bud what offset are the rims
Pos20 bro
Did it scrub bad offroad
If you cut the guards right it definitely could work
Gday mate what offset are those rims ?
Hey mate pos20
That’s pos 20 with the 35s could you please give me the tyre dimension size Thankyou
@@calabdihm7059 I run the 315/75r16 on a positive 20 rim. Thanks mate
Are the 16/8 pos 20?
Yeah mate
Bt50 35s on 2 inch lift ?
Can be done
Reckon you’d loose much power?
Probably Abit of a fetch but any kiwis on here know if this is legal and would pass a Warrant of fitness?
Thinking of doing this to my ranger.
The bigger the tyres and lift the lower the IQ AS THEY SAY
Just lift it already haha.
Aussie Adventures Family Time To Play hahaha not much longer 😎
How much room do you have between your tire and control arm
