It's rough out here. There are so many data engineer jobs and yet everyone's being rejected because of lack of experience. I realized all this studying data structures doesn't matter. It's how well you relay the things you know. Also people should know what type of data engineer they want to be and stop pursuing all jobs. My company doesn't have a data engineer role so its really difficult.
Hello! Thank you for your invaluable video! I find it extremely useful for beginners! I would like to ask about one thing regarding Data Engineer Career. I learnt Pandas in terms of Data Wrangling and Transformation. Therefore, how about Pandas for Data Engineers? Is it useful tool for ETL/ELT transformations? Obviously, the next step will be PySpark, but I would like to start learninig Pandas. It seems it is a good path for the next one. What do you think about it ? I would appreciate it if you could share your views about it.
As I share in the video, I started out in business operations, then moved internally as a QA, then became a business analyst, then a data engineer. But there are definitely entry level roles. I talk about the skills needed for that a bit more in this video - ua-cam.com/video/sF04UxNAvmg/v-deo.html
i am a civil graduate can i persue a career in data engineering by firstly starting a career as business intelligence analyst then stepping my self into data engineering
Definitely! That's really similar to the route I took. Here's an example path to follow: 1. Acquire basic data skills (Excel, Power BI/Tableau/etc. & a bit of SQL) 2. Become a Data/BI Analyst 3. Ask questions, learn on the job & on your own for a few years 4. Request to take on a Data Engineering task or two (while still an Analyst) 5. Eventually move into Data Engineering full-time Easier said than done, but it's more common than you might think. Good luck!

I got a question, how do I start with this?

Just stumbled across your channel. Love your content.
Great video. First tips is probably has the highest success ratio since internal move tends to be better preferred.
Agreed
Tip 3 is the best.
Because most of the time the things we want to work on are not handed to us.
So doing it on your own is the way
Love this. So many people could benefit by having that mentality.
Thanks man... I will try build my own website....
