    I used to buy the clear silicone bands, but that company seems to have gone out of business or they’re really hard to find so I bought clear silicone rubber tubing off of Amazon for about six dollars for 10 foot piece and I cut them about a quarter of an inch wide with scissors I have an endless supply and they work better than anything and the clear Matches any bait you throw you hook through the band and the worm and then the band again they won’t tear the worm they stay on longer I’ve caught up to 10 or 12 fish on one bait
    I also use paneling nails from Home Depot. You get about 500 in a box pretty cheap, and I cut them in half with a pair of wire cutters for my weights. And they have ridges all the way down the length of the nail they stay in your worm without having to use superglue.

    won the hammond's tournament this past weekend with 23.78lbs of spotted bass, one of our key fish came on a neko rig

      that is incredible! congrats that is a mega bag of spots! what was your biggest fish? Lanier is a special lake and has been showing out. we were on lake Russell this past weekend and although fun it is just not the same.

    I totally agree with you! The Neko has almost replaced my shaky head! As far as bands go, I mainly use the vmc since you have option on hooking for wacky vs neko. I have been experimenting lately with the new geecrack neko hack. It’s creative, but not sure if better than vmc or the dbl band you’re doing. Jury still out. 👍

      Very cool, thanks for the feedback! The vmc crossovers have been the best I have found but they are not perfect. I have not tried the geecrack. Will definitely have to experiment with them. I’m in the same boat - still looking but that vmc is solid. It’s really close.

      @@campetro10 oh I meant to also say, if I really wanna get finesse with the Neko, I put on a bold bluegill robo worm using a small vmc band. Only problem is there, you pickup more smaller fish including bream. 😂

      appreciate it. absolutely, i still throw the shakey head a bunch. gotta have a little drama in the title! haha. we just did serious damage on the shakey head at our last tournament on lake Russell. definitely drew a bigger class bite than the Neko on that day. still belongs on the deck of the boat.

      Absolutely but different weights

    • @campetro10
      @campetro10  6 місяців тому

      i have not personally because the roboworm is smaller in diameter. i would definitely look at a true neko weight though if using a roboworm and im sure it would work.
