The underwater video from Berkley and Dan Spengler was the first one I saw of this bait. This thing looks absolutely incredible. Can't wait to pick a few up. As far as reaction strikes, this thing is insanely versatile and can be worked like 4 separate ways to get said reaction. Nice video Matt!

Cool bait... I bet it will pick off those summer time schooling fish also. I've caught a bunch of big fish speed cranking and throwing deep jerkbaits under schooling fish in the summer like the bigger fish are just hanging out eating the shad the smaller fish kill or injure. Great video as always keepem coming brother!!!

Berkley is really killing it with the hard bait's the past few years and I love it because it's really my favorite type of fishing being reactive type fishing
They use science to make baits!

It's just like a salt water pencil darter. We use them up north to catch striped bass and bluefish.Obviously a lot bigger then the one your using

Good video. You should watch some videos on jigging raps for walleye because the actions are similar. If you hit it harder with a littler slack it will give it more erratic action.

I used a 7’3” ML fast action and i started testing it in august with good success and see it being a year round bait
Looks like this could be a very good bait for a co-angler fishing behind a boater live scoping. can cover a lot of water and generate those strikes on the fish they don't see.

🍺Ordered numerous colors in all 3 sizes from your TW link👍. Rumor on the street is that they may be available to the public by the end of January🤞. Toledo Bend tournament anglers during the time of year you’ll be there have historically had success fishing traps and jerk baits around grass. This bait appears to me that it is certainly worth a try during practice over grass (where the “Bigs” like to hide) that has not reached the surface yet. 🤠
I also plan on fishing these later this year during the pre-spawn and think it could be deadly post spawn around “fry guarders”.🤠
I’m expecting it to play at Toledo!!

Matt it looks like you were using the size 9 which is 3 1/2 inches and 3/4 oz, or was it the 7 which is 1/2oz. I only saw you throwing the Finisher on spinning tackle. What was your setup? Thanks! By the way it should do really well on suspended fish.
I was using the size 7 on a 7’3” ML spinning rod with 10 lb braid to an 8 lb fluoro leader
Woah! I was just seeing this and the new Kreig jerk! The finisher action actually reminds me a ton of the Duo BR head action except a treble version that looks better! Very cool! Can you get this guy suspended at all so you can pause it? And do you know how deep you can still get action out of it?

Would this be similar to a “twitch” bait? We use twitch baits on the gulf coast for specs and reds.

It's knocked off from a Chinese lure 😅 that dates back to 2023 release maybe even sooner.
Someone need to show the Chinese lure to the Berkley engineer's boss 😂.
Bought one from Cabela's, brought it home and it looked exactly like a Chinese lure I already had.
Same shape, same flat belly.
Instantly returned it 😅.
I have tested both in the tank and they swim similarly the same since it looks exactly the same.
The hype is strong.

Rapala Slab Rap swims way better in my opinion.
Cool bait, but I like the Krej better. More versatile. From topwater to bottom whooping. I like the way it goes backwards.
I think the finisher is more versatile honestly but both are awesome
the krej seems more similar to the jackall riser bait to me. more of that skipping topwater minnow imitation.
@BloodRuin you can fish like the riser. However, Krej is a sinking bait. You can crank it, jerk it, and walk the dog with it. When you pause it, it sinks backward to the fish. The shape of the bill will make the bait rise to the surface. Stop it, give it slack, and it sinks backward. Very versatile. Top to bottom. IKE has a video on it.

You can fish it in shallow water but you’ll need to keep it moving
Berkley is really pushing the innovation envelope these days! I just saw the Krej on Ike's channel. So many baits that are staples for me already and then they keep coming up with completely new ideas. Thanks for introducing to us!

Cmon guys! Berkley has been copying Japanese bait makers for years. Love the channel but Berkley and innovation don’t go together. The Krej is a budget version of the Riser 009 sinking version.
All Berkeley does is copy other companies designs, like there last soft glide bait. They used to be innovative.

why are you not using bfs or ml bait cast gear instead of the line twisting bail flipping old school spinning rod?
I could argue why would you not be using it on spinning versus BFS gear. You should use whatever makes you more comfortable

I got a couple baits a while ago. It looks like a jerk bait with no lip for the life of me. I couldn’t figure out what they’re actually for. This is the closest looking thing I’ve seen to it.

@@MattStefanFishing let's start with the 1) nessie knock off of grow design flag. 2) thus bait is just like the Jackall or lucky craft, I can't remember the name for certain but I think it's called the wanderer, I can find out, 3) and yes the krej is the same as the riser, the riser has the same action too and yes it can also go backwards, if u keep rod up and line snug on the fall I will back up too but on slack line it shimies down more vertical. I have had all 3 jdm baits and fish them for quite some time. Matt look at all the other reviews and opinions of the other people commenting, not a good look for Berkley or you or Ike promoting stuff as new and not give credit to original company. Look at spro and kgb collaboration that's how it's done NOT knock off and say it's new !!!!

The fact is that sinking jerkbaits have been created a long time ago in the international market as far as the Krej. The fact is also that downward reaction baits have been created ever since fishing was known. Yall just don't know, but people question my skills. They can question what I say, but never who I am. When I tell you I'm killing it on various falling baits, know that I based off the Banjo's slogan, "Reaction Strike." This is why Lake Pro guy will lose to me. He just doesn't know it yet. 😂. Is believe he’s talking about the jigging rap and others like it. Sure bud see how those work for you 365 days a year, ripping it thru grass, letting it sit on top of rocks with its back sides shank hook.. see how those work on your FFS (I know some actually work pretty well) but not all- some are wooden or cheap plastic, yours are probably wooden tho..and SURE the banjo minnow was great 25 years ago - although it’s enitrely possible-not even possible- it’s entirely EASILY DOABLE to duplicate a banjo minnow nose hooking any soft jerkbait with a screw lock keeper- or no screw lock just nose hook it. Which was a idea THEY ALSO STOLE..There’s a million baits that are about “reaction” there’s a million baits that aren’t even reaction baits that you can work to draw reaction. But your knowledge can’t be insulted.. just the way you speak and the knowledge you back up you BS with- definitely can, I’m 35 and I catch 4-5-6lb smallmouth in a river in Upstate NY that’s not the St Lawrence nor any you’d know of- yet I can catch them where old timers been fishing it 20-30-49 years can’t figure out. And I use alot of berkley, strike king, visions, miniMAXs, I don’t even use electronics- zero on my kayak- even I can see where these will shine- in the deeper spots where I don’t have to smoke a cig to wait for my sinking jerkbait to reach the bottom then have it have hardly any action because YOU CANT GET GREAT ACTION out of a deep diver idc if your Jacob wheeler- you can’t- they’re the worst- the shallow divers are 100x more erratic- and this isn’t even a jerkbait, I see no lip on it. It’s reallyy in a class by itself -maybe- I do know of ONE similar lure that IS quite old- but it’s obviously NOT this, so intelligence insulted, arrogance spotlighted… good talk and like Matt said, thanks for watching

I am a guy that buys everything... at some point we just need to fish with what we have. So many of these videos seem like a commercial to buy the next great thing when the old stuff works. Not a slam on your vid but just tired of I have to buy something new when everyone one here sold me something last month. My advice is fish with what you have, once you can’t catch anything, buy something new. Talking to myself as the guy that buys everything. at some point its just all marketing. As fisherman we are the dumbest people on the planet and freely give money to all of these bait companies and new equipment just saying. If I had a UA-cam channel as a business I would probably do the same.. I spend thousands of dollars on all this stuff and none is the next greatest thing is all I am saying to new fisherman. Stick to basics and it all works good providing you can find the fish. I apologize for pointing this out. Do like the videos. Just my opinion of course as I buy more stuff that I don’t need. just truth that everyone that promotes a bait already knows.. 90/10 rule find the fish and you will catch them
