Bitwig, the love of all that is good, please upgrade your midi piano roll to modern times! While you are at it please fix your delays to go down to 1ms timing, implement a physical modeling synth or spectral synth and effect bank, add slice in sampler mode, then add all of the time algorithms to sampler also, and please give us a time based effect that can do a beat repeat, buffer and granular all-in-one effect for glitch!

Compressor+ has only one compressor, but to trigger it you have multiple bands you can have different thresholds etc for. It's a bit like putting a 4 band EQ on a track and connect its output to the sidechain.
It let's you control which frequencies trigger the compression more than others, with the compression applying across the full signal. It let's you have more control over when the compressor activates. I hope that gives you an idea. It's definitely a unique compressor.

Very CPU heavy compressor plugin. Focus on the DAW features more please team Bitwig. Midi editing is the weakest part, please add more features to the piano roll.

No, it isn't. This video simply was made on basis of obviously wrong knowledge. Basically Compressor+ realizes something like a side chain using different detection characteristics per frequency band. If you - as an example - make the bass band react very slowly and with a high threshold, it begins to compress the whole signal most likely not before there's s good bass signal. And if, then the whole signal 'pumps' following this bass. But it's a bit more complex, because it also can be made to react to highs (and lower as well as higher mids too) independently. So it would "pump" to highs as well.... you decide, whether this can be expected to be really unsiversally 'useful'. I personally prefer a multi band processing, which I realize using an FX Layer, in each band an EQ, folloed by a Dynamics (with an SC FX - inserted Time Shift to make it being able to work with Look Ahead)... that's much more flexible in my eyes. This btw. can be combined even by a Mid Side Split to realise Mid-Side-Multiband-Compression (which I also tried out in the past... and it worked acceptable)

To make this inside Dynamics (which isn't possible) you'd need to insert an FX Layer to the Sc Fx container and give each one an EC (for the frequency separation) and then apply differend threshold, ratio, knee, attack and realease settings per band. This give some weired effects, but I claim, that it's general usefulness would become _ m u c h _ better, if it would be possible to use it as a real multiband compressor. I personally stick to Dynamics, which I use in conjunction with Mid Side Split, FX Layer, where each layer contain EQ, Tool, Dynamic with Sc FX - included Time Shift, And if needed I place a Mid Side Split in front of this FX Layer, which I double in this case, put one into "Mid" and the other into "Side"... LookAhead also needs - like Dynamics - Time Shift. I criticised Compressor+ right from the start, because it did _ n o t _ bring so many "new" possibilities as advertised. But most useres obviously did not even get Compressor+'s principle yet and... listen to Yoad Nevo - he's wrong as well.

I think this video confuses more than it helps. It seems to suggest this is a multiband compressor, which it is not. Bitwig should really clarify this better.
multiband can mean detection too in the context of compression. Compressor+ reminds me a bit of the AMEK compressor where theres 3 detectors for slow, mid and fast compressor response times, but each can also be shaped as a multiband detection too.

Sure, the traditional way to do multiband compression is to directly apply different amounts of compression to the outgoing signal to different parts of the audio spectrum, but regardless of the multiband approach, you are fundamentally applying different amounts of compression within that process.
They won't! As long as there are enough such dreaming noobs amongst their customers, they can tinker/fumble a few presets together, give them an own interface (to make them look like 'new devices'), thus making these noobs drooling, that keeps their tills ringing... and that's enough to create financial gain.
Definitely the most powerful stock compressor out of any DAW. I wish Reaper had a similar one. ReaComp and General Dynamics gets the job done though, but I wouldn't complain if they decided to upgrade ReaComp!

Its rubbish at the moment , browser should be on the left not the right , most people used windows with start menu on the left , it just doesn't agree with my brain , also I have to get a mouse to work the piano roll, the track pad doesn't work properly, Its confusing Ableton is much better
