I love your enthusiasm and playfulness! I’ve watched another of your videos about “how to paint loose”. . . and I found your ideas helpful. So, for the moment I’m trying very hard to loosen up on my watercolor portraits,
WOW! what a lovely painting! I followed along and made one of my own. I went for much brighter colors because why not? Thanks Liron you're a great teacher :)
That is amazing Denise! I'm very happy to hear it worked for you 😊🙏🏼 There is a magic to simplicity, and I love how this is basically white and mid-value 😁
I liked seeing how you approach drawing this photo. You are so good at this! And you make it seem like even I could attempt it. Thanks for all the knowledge you share with us.
I love your lessons on portraits. It's the only thing I've managed well and satisfies me! When you feel like it, I'd love to see a colour portrait to create a likeness. Thanks for helping us to pass the time. Now back to the painting board for me!!👍
I LOVE watching you work! You are so generous in your determination to demystify watercolour (and drawing!) and I really appreciate your videos. I have only been using watercolour for a few months and my early attempts are all really tight and awkward and I was getting so frustrated with myself because in my mind I wanted to work more loosely but didn;t know how. Since following your channel I have completely changed the way I use colour and I am enjoying myself much more! Thanks so much for sharing your experience.
Damn you're good, Liron! Love this tutorial, it's one thing I've been trying to do - more colour with beautifully blended edges - and your vid was super helpful in showing me how to do so more successfully. Thank you. Great video!
Hello I would like to ask you a question, I hope it is not a silly question, I stopped doing free drawing some 20 years ago when I became a civil construction designer, now I wanted to go back to drawing freely but the drawings are horrible, I am very disappointed. Is it possible that I forgot everything I knew?
Nocturnus Rg I’m not Liron, but what I’ve found is that you just have to warm up those muscles again. What you learned before is not gone, it just needs refreshing. Good luck with your journey!
but it’s going to take some time. I have to say, however, your palette was so distracting to me with all those dark, heavy colors! Watercolors are so beautiful and colorful, I think I now know why, as you mentioned, that you have always painted too dark. I know it’s your prerogative to have the palette you want, I just wanted to let you know how it had adversely effected my viewing pleasure. I sincerely hope you’re not offended by my unsolicited comment. I think you are a good, personable teacher.
Sorry for that! I know it distracts some 😅 It's the only way I paint most of the time haha. I find the "in between" colors, the grays and browns - to enrich my results. Even if I clean my palette, I'll immediately end up remixing those grays and muted colors.

And no worries at all - I find all feedback useful, in fact - I'm grateful for it 🙏🏼
