If the island can be removed and the kitchen redecorated into one side for cooking and one side for storage, that will be spacious and practical enough.
that kitchen is a crime against kitchens - great vid tho!!! xx
The whole building has a very tight space as well as it seems to be claustrophobic in some areas of the house ....the kitchen is also located in a very odd place ....there are few things that in my opinion are not fit in the right place.......By the way I love to watch your video on home tour great work keep it up brother 👍
Toby you do a wonderful job of your house tours. 👌👌😍. That kitchen is ridiculously small and totally impractical.
Great tour of this beautiful property. I liked it very much, apart from the kitchen, which is a galley at best. It would be a daily struggle in my opinion. For the eye wateringly high asking price, I'm sure there are better options available, even in central London.
The Kitchen isn't for everyone, but that's what Uber Eats is for ;) ! Thanks for watching!
The thing about all these Regents Park terraced properties is that they belong to the Crown. This means you get a leasehold for X number of years (99 years or so) then it reverts back to the Crown. You never own the Freehold. So if you are hoping to play the property market game these are no use to you at all. They are also Grade I or II listed which also means you are extremely limited as to making improvements etc. All in all they a very bad deal for most buyers.
They put the lift and downstairs WC in when they maybe could have made a wider kitchen but that is the decision they made.
@@CulturedThugPoster That’s true, but there is also the option of increasing the lease before it gets to 0 years remaining. Usually when there’s 40-60 years remaining the owner will increase the lease back to 120-140 years & hopefully who ever inherits the property does that same… that way it never reverts back to the Crown Estate
U’re very thorough and very methodical in ur tour. Love it and subscribed.
A great tour and a beautiful home, apart from the kitchen with no prep space! Nice for a family kitchen (maybe) but the home really needs a practical chef's kitchen.
I want a better kitchen for that kind of money Toby 😂 lol. Great video mate
The kitchen isn't for everyone that's for sure. But hey Uber Eats is a great alternative ;) Thanks for watching as usual mate!
You put so much effort into the presentation of your tours.
Great presentation Toby of a beautiful house.
The most beautiful house ive seen. Excellent tour Toby
Such an impractical kitchen, whether you cook or have a chef. I live behind this property. Bring back chintz interiors, as these current interiors look soulless and not homely.
Interesting! I like the modern approach to the kitchen. Thanks for watching! Stay tuned for more :)
I agree, I cook and this was not designed with practicality in mind. The space around the island has enough space for one person and when the refrigerator is open, or the pantry or the ovens there’s no space to walk behind the open doors and the island. In addition, those cage like artifacts take up walking room which is already narrow. I can’t see myself preparing a meal here. I would gut it completely.
Yeah, there is rarely any working space in that kitchen to prepare and assemble a meal.
Unfortunately, at that price point in such an iconic residential area that kitchen is a disaster...At worst, those kitchen doors should have be consealed once opened...
What a beautiful property. Toby, nice tour and description of all of the amenities. The place over all is breathtaking. Clean lines and a nice use of woods and textures. The kitchen I must say is a little cramped. I understand the concept concerning keeping the kitchen clean looking however, to have to open up doors to have access to the ovens, seems odd. Do you keep the doors open the whole time they are on? There is not much room to maneuver around in there. The arch and designer were not thinking of the practical side of having to use a kitchen like this daily. This is not a house if have kids. The movie room is great. Very cozy and perfect to kick back and enjoy....even sip some wine or read a book...or better yet, nap.
I would be concerned if the oven caught fire. Wood is flammable. Not practical for such a tiny space.
I love your videos!! Keep them coming!! You give the best video home tours!!!
As a German, I‘d expect to get a little more Britishness (?) out of a property in London. For 15 million I would want to live in a mini Downton Abbey.
I like your style of presentation though - calm and warm. Cheers!
Yeah this place could be anywhere in the world... to me it looks bland 🤷♀️
Trust me if you had this money to spend 15 kilometres away from Regents Park you probably could !
Not all developers or owners of properties are British, they decorate their homes as they wish. London and Uk is a very multicultural city/country. There are properties with different styles from all over the world. I'm sure if u wanted a downton abbey style, u could find one
You won’t own this property because it’s a leasehold estate. You will pay $15.5 to for leasing it for many years.
Just remembered this place from “The Golden Compass” movie, loved to see the inside.
Love the sharp lines and clean spaces
I love almost everything about the property in terms of its location, interior, exterior, design etc.. Only the kitchen, some may love it, some don't. Yes, it is not for everyone, the kitchen I meant. Too small for my liking. Alternatively you can have food delivered to you or you can always dine at various nice restaurants outside. Keep it up mate!
Really liked that property, only thing I missed especially for that price is a study and/ or library
such an elegant presentation Toby and kudos to the camera person
😅A pleasure to listen to a calm and dispassionate tour of dramatic house, instead of the commonplace gushing drivel. This doesn't stop the kitchen being a complete ergonomic disaster of course and no professional chef would consider working in it, but it's certainty dramatic. Sort of, anyway.
Nice work, Toby. I see a lot of real estate agents/presenters here. But you're the only person who comes across as calm and measured in their descriptive narrative. Far too many of the others kill their credibility with hyperbole and florid language.
Sounded well healed there brother. You mentioned, Wolf and Gaggenau appliances but didn't mention Subzero. Keep up the good work 🔥
That kitchen! Who designed that? Someone with no experience of cooking is my guess. Job number 1 on taking possession ; sort that out. Other than that it’s a beautiful house, inside and out.
I wished u had explored the garage, staff quarters and how they lead to the outside from the second entrance...
Uncreadiable love it God bless
Lovely!
Lovely location indeed!
It’s great to see where these charming oligarchs come and visit once a year.
To all potential buyers. This property is a leasehold estate. Meaning you don’t own it like a freehold estate. I wish the presenter disclose this.
The kitchen looks like a corridor with an island blocking it. I only use my kitchen to boil the kettle but I wouldn't want to even go into that kitchen. Too many built in cabinets and wardrobes everywhere which end up making the rooms look smaller and even pokey. I know it's in a posh part of London but the £14.5M price tag is laughable. It might suit some hedge fund manager who has money to burn but no soul. Or girlfriend.
So, no worktops in the kitchen? Where does one cook?
Beautiful home
Very nice video but once again I am disappointed by what I find inside these historic London houses. I prefer a brownstone house in Brooklyn or a historic house in Chicago, which have more spacious and luminous interiors and not this kind of overpriced coffins so fashionable in London.
You're a great presenter Tobi - and good looking too
How do you get the lambo in there? I don't see any outside access for vehicles?
For me, the Nash Terraces around Regents Park are (externally) the most beautiful houses in London.
Really overlooked the kitchen. Does it have a dishwasher? Cupboard space? 14.5... What does the staff quarters look like?
Excellent presentation, Toby👏👏👏. Your expertise and smooth presentation is also clearly a threat to the commenter who seems to be unfulfilled in their chosen vocation , based on their condescending comments highlighting their own insecurities, masked as being “ constructive “ 😜
It is very tasteful and beautiful. Real bonus that it has offstreet parking. The location is spectacular. And the price isn’t too crazy compared to some of the ridiculous prices you see in less desirable parts of London. This is a very nice home, even if the kitchen is a little strange.
@@TobyCorban I’m glad I found your channel, it is a refreshing take on the property industry. You are very well spoken and intelligent young man. I wish you every success.
Love love
What's the fashion for unpainted hinges on the internal doors? I had a victorian house and now art deco era no hinges are free of paint
and made a feature of.
I wonder how long the leasehold on this property is...
If the garage is on the lower level is there a ramp down to it?
I did a quick search and couldn't find a listing. But the asking price seems high. Also, you note that it is owned by the Crown Estate. So, is this being offered as a freehold or a leasehold? (If you're not from the UK, you will need to look those terms up.) If it's a leasehold, then it is massively overpriced.
Niceish ❤
big wow factor
"Here we have 'your' staircase" "Behind me is 'your' kitchen". Drives me mad.
Everyone should have one
Another reality video where the host is the star.
Neighbour to the left not too happy with you as you did the intro lol? Recording everything you did with their phone pointed out the window at you haha
No that was the owner! He was reposting my intro for his instagram. But nice try ;) thanks for watching, stay tuned for more💙
If you need something to wash your money with here you go, overall flow is a little tight, especially around the kitchen area, you’ll have to have caterers, warm the food, and then serve
The kitchen is the "elephant in the room".... and cabinet doors on the oven? Why? Just have to add that the presentation of the otherwise beautiful house was wonderful!
He said this is a grade 1 listed building. Is that possible? I find that hard to believe.
Beautiful home, professionally presented …. Very stylish, the principle Un-suit is amazing … all of it is amazing, but that bronze finish is outstanding … need more than your lottery numbers to seal this deal ? 👍
Where do you park your car in these properties?
my 2 bed apartment has a bigger kitchen. and no one has to walk away from the sink let someone open the fridge. AND the spice drawer is on the OTHER SIDE of the stove??? its like a twilight zone kitchen
Price ?
Cooking in that kitchen would be truly comical! More thought has gone into the bathrooms than the kitchen. Amazing location but a not a thoughtful refurb . So many original features have gone its lost its regency soul.
It could make a good movie! Thanks for watching Miss J.D stay tuned for more :)
My small Irish cottage has a bigger and better laid out kitchen, and there is no utility kitchen or outdoor space,
If you are that rich, you don't care about the facilities your staff have to cope with I guess.
Very beautiful, very good taste and refinement, for highly sophisticated people. A true modern palace. Greetings from Brazil.
Bonita essa casa❤❤❤
Is this a freehold or leasehold property????
Not a bidet in sight!! 😯😯😯😯
Sucesso!
Hi Enes!
Toby is looking pretty good in that suit 😋
Piękny dom i piękna reklama :)))
What a beautiful house, congratulations to the developers and interior designers. Outstanding review
It's beautifully designed but I would want more than ship's galley for a kitchen if I was paying £14.5m. Otherwise, amazing!
What I've learned from watching loads of home tours for houses I could never afford...rich people only decorate in grey or beige 😂
I could work from home from bedroom # 2 alone....😄
Great tour + love that you mention the garage has room for a classic Porsche or a Lamborghini 😄
The best part is the outside..don’t like contemporary …or galley kitchens.
Huge house and small kitchen.
Sadly the very poorly designed and sized kitchen which is embarrassing and the lack of any outside space make this property highly compromised and suitable for only couples in my opinion. I’m sure it will sell in due course.
Is it freehold?
Where are the carparks? Im asian and never been london, please tell me 😭
handsome house from the outside but… the kitchen??? if you wanted to wash a cup up, there’s no drainer, and hardly any counter top space. No~one will be rolling out pastry in that kitchen 😂😂
The kitchen feels like a punishment or even an afterthought like they built the whole place and said oh we forgot to put a kitchen in let's throw it right here.
#nope
Must be nice to be able live in that lifestyle.
Kitchen is a bit tight, suppose living around regents park, you don't do a lot of cooking. Property is lease hold ??
If this wasn’t in London it would barely sell for 1 mil.
Another good video. I really like the unique style kitchen. It really has a cozy feel to it.
For only £14.5 million you don't get a rear garden. Those are only for wealthy people.
I also agree with the comments about the kitchen. it's absolutely silly, but for only that money you must see the Emperor (developer's) new clothes, which are indeed lovely.
The response about Uber Eats was appalling, having had a wrist permanently broken and having high speed near misses while walking on pavements daily. Older people are terrified.
I've been in properties around this one and adjacent terraces 20 years ago as a freelance chauffeur. Terrible area to get in and out of nowadays. Only for people who don't know the London of recent years.
That shot of the dining room with the 2 large windows reminds me of the scene from Gangs of New York when the riots begin and bricks start flying through the aristocrats homes.
That kitchen feels like you're cooking in your walking closet.
