These look so delicious! I love your channel and the smaller sized recipes--my husband isn't a huge sweets eater (he's so weird, lol!) and even though I'd love to polish off an entire batch of cookies/full size cake by myself (I'm definitely the one with the sweet tooth at our house), my wardrobe and my health wouldn't appreciate that, so I love that I can make a smaller batch of something that satisfies my craving for a homemade dessert without having a ton of wasted food.
Yuppers...be doing this one in the future.... I use foil to line my toaster oven sized pan.... the cookies I've done turned out good... And yes, I have cut into squared shape to be different before... 😉🙃🍪

Bars look really good. Also when my brown sugar gets hard I put in a piece of bread. It works great.

Do you think I could use pastry whole wheat flour? How would this affect the texture?
You could use it, might just give you a slightly chewier bar cookie
I can't decide between chewy or cake like so I'm going with 7/8 cup flour.
