Gonna throw on some more parts this week, including JB4. If there's no femto unlock service in Canada or USA by next summer, then I will probably ship out my ecu to get it unlocked. But gonna run JB4 custom map for this year. I'll probably make a video review on it this weekend.
@@TheAutoDistrict Have you heard of any shop or any tuners even working on the unlock here in the U.S. or Canada? I feel like it will never happen here and we are forced to ship to Femto sooner or later.
@chrisginoc I haven't but the possibility is still there whether it's someone here figuring it out or even if the femto guys themselves branch out to America as they know that's where most of the customers are.
@@davothegreat9990 Guys on the forums with MKV 6MTs are saying around 500-550hp. Clutch upgrade is about $800 give or take and a clutch like Spec can handle up to mid 600s HPs. If you're trying to go top mount and pushing 750+HP, I'd start considering upgrading the transmission along with a stage 3 type clutch.

It's the GS6L50TZ, basically a beefed up version of an existing bmw 6-speed transmission by ZF. Bigger clutch, shorter final drive, etc. And obviously tuned by Toyota with their special touch, haha. It's honestly a great transmission in this car. Zero complaints so far.

How much can the stock clutch and gearbox handle before needing to upgrade???
