An atheist is one who responds to the theist claim their god exists with "I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU" where in fucks name does that require faith????. Atheist an independent individual that doe's not accept the CLAIMED existence of gods. That is all there is to being an atheist, nothing more, nothing less, it's not a belief gods do not exist, it's not even an UN belief, the opposite ofa stamp collected is not an UN stamp collector, how in fucks name is an atheist in need of faith, not to believe a theist claim!!!!!.

My testimony: After being an atheist for 8+ years, and "married" to another female, I got the urge one day to say out loud "IF there is an Almighty God that does NOT wish us pain or sorrow, please bring me truth, I wish to know you exist". Then God immediately started bringing me the answers I had been searching 8-11 YEARS for! I witnessed Him take control of my internet and the rest of my reality; He first proved to me that demons exist (I called them "interdimensional beings"), then He proved His own existence when He didn't have to, which I later found to be Jesus Christ. As soon as I found Jesus at the end of 2020, He IMMEDIATELY took away my transgenderism, bisexuality, depression, daily suicide attempts, self harm, bulimia and anorexia; and He did this all without me asking Him to, because THAT'S how merciful and loving He is! Praise God!

When are you going to be honest with me and admit the following,
You know you can't prove god, you know that if you were to truly follow the Bible you would have to be immoral. You know that the bible when read in it's entirety shows that the biblical god is a murdering monster, but you think people got the god you believe wrong and you like the idea of the god you want to exist?

#2 If you go to save the child, the man tells you to stop as he was told it was for the greater good, but he does not know what that is, do you continue to save the child?
#3 Is it an act of justice to punish innocent people for the crimes of others?
#4 If you were able to stop it and knew a person was about to grape a child would you stop it?
#5 Would you consider a parent who put their kids in a room with a poison fruit and told the kids not to eat it but then also put the best con artist in the room with the children knowing the con artist will get the kids to eat the fruit and the parent does nothing to stop it a good parent?

@@NewCreationInChrist896 Do you think John 14:26 is written to you? Really?
John 14:26 KJV But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Read the verse and understand Jesus was talking to the 12, not you and I. The Spirit is not doing that today.
FOUR QUESTIONS TO ASK TO UNDERSTAND OUR BIBLE:
When we read and study our bible rightly divided (II Tim 2:15) there are at least 4 questions we should ask, to help get a better understanding of its context.
      1. Who is talking?
      2. Who is being talked to?
      3. What is being said?
      4. Can I put myself in this text as being the one being talked to or about?
Then, the key is to NOT insert yourself into a passage that you don’t belong in, one that is NOT talking to or about you. If we do, our doctrine will not be correct.
Example: You may think you need to sell all you have or keep the law as Jesus taught in the 4 gospel books. And so you should do these things if you were obeying the words of Jesus in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. But those two things are not requirements for us today as it was for the Jews under the law to go into their earthly kingdom. We are to listen to Jesus' last words by the person who saw and spoke to Him last for the updated new information Jesus gave to him for us today - that would be Paul. Romans - Philemon. ALL scripture is FOR us but not ALL scripture is written to and about us.

I think what inerrancy is about is there isn’t a lack of connection to one another. Not everything that happened in the past we will fully know or understand, but we can make the best guesses based on the documented evidences and historical evidences of it. The same is true with the Bible, when we find two spots that seem contradictory, we can best understand what the authors are actually saying by looking at the historical contexts: what culture was this in? Who is the author? Who are the audiences? How does this relate to the gospel? How does it relate to God’s known character throughout the rest of the Bible? What time period was this in? Etc. It’s all about how they connect to one another and how they reveal God’s character. Throughout the entire Bible there is the same singular theme that is evident: Our need for a savior, God’s grace, the promise of the savior, and the fulfillment of the promise through Jesus.

I'm a christian but I'm sure that Biblical Inerrancy isn't true. I know we like to believe that the Bible was written with the aid of the Holy Spirit and all that but we have no definite proof of it and it isn't in God's nature to do something like that. Remember the Tower of Babel, Jonah and so many more instances where God was amused by the blunders of man. He didn't expect his prophets to be perfect beings and carry out divine actions-he let them do his work through their own selves and God accepted them mistakes and all (I'm not talking about their sins, that of course God hated).
Also remember the Bible that we have today came to be only in the 4th century when the Council of Nicea came together. Scripture was all over the place before that and even the council couldn't distinguish right from wrong when adding books into the Bible.
So we shouldn't bothered about a mere book but instead focus our eyes towards God.

You can't cherry pick the Bible to fit the current culture like so many so called churches do today. People take scripture out of context and then try to mold it to fit whatever narrative. Study. Study . Study. If you dont understand something, talk to other believers. Bible study is so important. Either all of it is true or none of it. If none of it is true, then their would be no need for a Saviour. The Bible is God's love letter to us. Once we are saved, we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit who guides us in discernment.

There are DIFFERENT versions of the Bible. The difference is in omission, punctuation, and use of language, not the central edicts of God. Those who say the Bible is without error, are wrong. What is without error, is the basic tenants of the book, submitted by some 44 authors.
The message is inerrant, the book has errors not associated with the message. On the other hand, you could nit pick, and see the only 2 passages concerning the thief on the cross don't jive.
Or you could note Paul saying " today is the day of salvation ",while Christ said when salvation is, and it ain't today.
So, for the most part, Sunday keepers say the Bible is inerrant, in their errant hypocrisy, while serious Christians know what's real contradiction or error. Make note of it yourself. Write who says the Bible is inerrant, you will find they be Sunday keepers.

To clarify James is about works for people, not salvation.
James 2:14 What does it profit, my brethren,... this is saying how is your faith a benefit to others if you're not living your faith ie works.
15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
If you're saved and you never share Jesus, live your faith, or help others, you'll still be saved but be useless to God.
    This is NOT about salvation.
    John 6:38-40
38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”

@@Mavors1099 Sure, but we're talking about a fundamental doctrine here -Salvation. Can you give me any answers from anywhere in Scripture?
I'm guessing you can't unless you ignore the context.
You're free to believe whatever you choose. What disturbs me about Western Christianity today is that there are a lot of heresies and false doctrines taught.
I find fewer and fewer Christians are able to identify them and have made Christianity a religion rather than a relationship with God.
I see so many Christians today who hate the Gospel, and who hate Jesus as He is. They have made an image of Jesus in their minds and He's who they want Him to be. That whatever they're righteously morally angry about must be what God is angry about. Whatever cause they think is just must be what God thinks is just.
Religion at its core is mankind's attempt to please God. To get to God by their efforts. That's why there are so many and today more and more Christians have Jesus as a religion rather than the Savior. We are not partners with the LORD in our salvation. He designed it, provided everything that was needed in Jesus, and offered it as a free gift to all.
It makes us feel self-righteous to believe we have a part (faith and works) in our salvation. That we did something to receive it. If you have to do anything to earn it it's no longer a "Gift" it's a transaction.
The Gospel is a 2 edged sword for our nature. It gives us hope that we are not beyond the grace of GOD to be saved, but it forces us to accept we are not part of our salvation.
Salvation is "repentance" the biblical term means "change of mind" people trust their "goodness" to save them whether it's the Pharisees 2000 years ago or people today.
We all believe we'll get to Heaven by what we do. Our works, our goodness, our effort. This is a lie. Jesus's preaching wasn't about morality or to do better. He showed us the standard was unattainable. It was if the bar was set at the edge of the universe and God said jump to save yourself. Impossible. So the LORD willingly came in human form lived a sinless life and bore our sins on the cross bringing the bar down and laid it on the ground. All we have to do is receive His gift and we are saved.
When we repent it means we change our mind about how we will get to Heaven, it's a change of mind about our "goodness". That we need a Savior.
Jesus showed us that the bar is impossible for us to jump over. He did it for us. And when we place our trust in Him to save us like we trust a chair to hold us up, we are saved.
John 5:24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
"he who hears and believes in Him who sent me has eternal life..." Where does Jesus say we need works?
Galatians 3:26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
1 John 5:11 And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe in the name of the Son of God.
      John 3:36
36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
Salvation is by faith in Jesus.
THEN comes the works we were created for. Not to obtain salvation, not to maintain our salvation, not to prove we are saved, but out of gratitude for salvation and to be of use to God for humanity in our salvation.
If we conflate Salvation and Service then Jesus becomes a religion because we will then focus on our works rather than the work He alone accomplished on the cross.
If I say that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus alone many will call me a false teacher. Then if I say that salvation (being Born Again) is a one-time event that you are saved forever, many more will call me a heretic.
Yet, Jesus with Nicodemus plainly compares being Born Again to our birth from our mom. Our Birth is a one-time event. Once we are born we are our mother's child. Whether we are Jesus or Hitler a saint or a serial killer, we are our mother's child. Nothing can change that fact. Being called child of God in John 1:12, and Galatians 3:26, tells us that when we receive or believe in Jesus we become children of God. We can never not be our mother's child and Jesus through the Prodigal Son showed us that no matter what the wayward son did he was always his father's son.
      Paul in Romans 6 asks
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
Paul can't ask these questions if we can't choose to sin and still be saved. "Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?" This question implies that as Children of God when we sin the grace of God grows. Sin has no eternal power over us. However, sin has consequences.
      Hebrews 12
      5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.”
7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
Sin has its consequences like if I drink and drive I could go to jail, but it also has the chastening of the LORD as well because I am His son. Not out of wrath but out of correction, out of love.
I find many can't answer how they have an assurance they're saved because they don't know they are children of God.
Faith is believing that Jesus has saved us from now until eternity regardless of what we do. However, the Bible is clear that when we do what we want to do the LORD is not going to sit idly by. If we had to work for our salvation then the moment we see to work there would be no assurance and Jesus's death couldn't really save anyone.
Sadly, this in many churches is considered heretical. But I hope this helps. Take care.

I don't think so. In Genesis 2, God "breathed into [man's] nostrils the breath of life", but that clearly doesn't mean that man is inerrant or perfect. It means they have life. I think that's what the verse was originally intended to mean: that scripture breathes life into people.

Just because later Christians refer to scripture as "God's Word", doesn't mean every use of "word" refers to scripture. The "word" in that passage doesn't refer to scripture. It's the Greek word "logos", which John uses to refer to something like "divine logic/truth". It's the same word used in John 1:1, which can't possibly refer to scripture.

The last usage there does not imply perfection. It would only mean that God was the inspiration for the writer to write what he wrote.
In John 17:17, the word translated "word" (logos) can be used as "a word, speech, divine utterance, analogy". (Strong's Concordance again)
This does not imply that the writings (Scripture) are perfect. It it saying that God's "word/speech/utterances" are true. They are related but are not equal. Conflicting accounts is exactly what you'd expect from true stories that weren't a conspiracy.
If you were a member of the jury in a murder trial, and three witnesses all told the exact same story with no differing details, implying the same killer, wouldn't you be suspicious?

@@JiraiyaSama86 sure, it’s just hard to argue those lines on more than personal interpretation. My personal interpretation of scripture went from extreme inerrancy as an Evangelical Christian to now finding stories like the flood entirely errant do to scientific factors like geology. Many Christians may think of the flood as metaphorical but my personal interpretation of scripture is that it was literal because Jesus speaks of Noah as literal…in my opinion.

The fact that Frank is sputtering all over the place about inerrancy is what makes Christianity a genuine house of cards.
All it takes for a person's faith to collapse entirely is one fragile belief they think must be true turning out not to be true. That's why so many people have left Christianity over the past 70 years.
Atheism on the other hand is the only rational position regarding the existence of a god.

I would like to point it its theists who call evil good when they say evil happens for a greater good. That is basically saying evil acts = even more good acts. Remember my moral questions? You say god is good yet god lets the children drown, lets the raps happen and punishes the innocent for the crimes of others. Who is saying evil is good here?

?????? I am saying what I said, its theists more specifically, muslims and christians who say evil is good. For example, camron when talking with alex about the problem of evil more specifically, racism. Carmon responds with racism is a good thing because without it we would not have people like martin luther king. Can you see how he just turned racism into a good thing? Or we need to have tyrants in the world so that is makes courageous people to stand up to them, do you see what I am getting at now?
Can you see how if you say evil happens for a greater good, you are saying evil IS good? I dont know how to be more clear about this, but if you still dont understand I will try again as I know you are not a bad person.
