It doesn't matter if we think he's attractive, amazing lovely and fucking fantastic. If he truly feels he is worth nothing what we say won't matter. He is so BEYOND amazing but I think he jokes about his 'existential crisis' and staying up till 4 am hating life because he honestly does suffer from it. No matter if he has 6 million people who love him. There will always be people who point out they don't. And it affects him. I think he's gotten a lot happier over the years. I watched him since I was 11 (I'm almost 17 now) and when if I don't know him personally he's always gonna be special to me and a lot of other people and I'd hate for him to hate himself.

Watching dan throughout this broke my heart but I honestly think that he's happier now. This was a couple of years ago and he has changed quite a bit in that time, in a good way of course. This past year in particular he's seemed so much happier in videos and even though we could never know because all we really know is what they show us on camera I do think that he's happier. Comparing the 2013/14 videos and 2016 videos makes me happy because he seems happy now. I honestly love that guy so much

Also just after Dan sadly says, "Yeah yeah" Phil kind of half-mouths, half whispers, "that's not true at all"
During the bit where PJ is talking about the 'Dating App' truth or dare, as he talks about the love of your life, look at Phil. I think his face is like that because he is clearly imagining Dan. Also as Phil says, "I had a crush on the little mermaid" when he gets to the word 'crush' Dan's face changes and he stops smiling immediately.
Also I noticed that in this video, there's no Heart Eyes Howell, and Phil seems fine whereas Dan rarely smiles. Dan just seems really sad. This might seem like a dumb explanation but I feel like it's because Dan has been holding in his feelings for Phil for too long.
