  • In this video I recorded from a Facebook Live demonstration, I compare the output of the new MoLight Godox AD200 flash to the output of the Godox AD360II using the standard 5" reflector, a 48" Octabox, and a 45° MoThro long throw reflector. The results? You have to watch to find out. For more information or to order any of this lighting products, please visit www.gomolight.com

Was considering the AD360II for camera bracket mounting to use for event work - which requires flash on bracket with camera. Looks like the Quantum concept from a couple decades ago, and much less expensive. However, I did carry a battery slab around with a Metz 60 CT-4 with its handle head on a bracket, and also with a Sunpak 120J - shooting 35mm and medium format film 15-20 years ago. The shoulder or belt slab is a PITA if you need to set stuff down for a couple minutes, unplugging it and plugging it back in, or taking it off with the camera. etc. The AD200Pro looks like the better solution with the EC200 and mounting the brick to the camera and flash bracket. The 2/3 f-stop difference is small enough that avoiding wearing a slab is worth it.

I have the a 600 and two 360s , The 200 is nice but no advantage really for me to add it to my system..I think I would rather spend spend a little more and get another 600.

The AD200 is nice piece of kit to carry around with a mini foldable tripod if you are doing a walkabout or going somewhere where carrying a light stand and a larger flash is impractical or will get you mugged. I have 2xAD360 IIs and an ad200. and I still use the ad360's when i have the time to set them up. I do not like doing available light photography when avoidable, too many factors that are out of my control

No, the fresnel is a fixed zoom of 35mm and currently there is no way to plug these in.

Don't think I can trust any info that comes from a photographer that shoots his videos on a mobile phone in the vertical position. Come on!

Darren Fleming Have you ever done a Facebook live video? I think not. If you had you would realize that they need to be shot in vertical mode. Sorry to have apparently ruined your day. It's fine with me if you search for more aesthetically pleasing video instead of valuable content.

Aside from the fact that you HAD to shoot vertically, We started producing vertical video in 2014. It has value.

I agree as many many people in my audience view on their phones.

Michael Mowbray in Facebook live you don’t have to shoot in portrait. When your viewing audience watches your video they can turn their phones sideways and see things in widescreen landscape mode. Great video, my friend.

The problem here is not the photographer but UA-cam not giving the vertical option. More and more people watch videos on their phones. PLUS! This video is basically a podcast. The guy gives a lot of information so AT LEAST be respectful and say thanks for the info.
