Android: simply download the APK IOS: first you will need a computer, but before you connect your Ipad you will need to press Power Button+Up Volume to acess the MotherBoard off your Ipad...
next you wanna open up your ipad (literally) and then solder sonolus directly onto the ipad's internal ssd. if you mess up you have to throw it out and buy a new one. repeat the process 😂
They have a set schedule for open slots on TestFlight. I recommend you head over to their Discord server to see the dates (new slots are opening up very soon).

I've been having trouble with slides though, they're very unresponsive compared to in project sekai. ive tried adjusting the "slide quality" and "guide quality" in config, but i cant tell if its making it better or worse. Do you know what exactly it is those settings do?
hmm I'm actually not sure! I tried those just now and they don't seem to make any considerable difference in gameplay. maybe mess around with the offsets to see if the sliders improve
Thanks! I’ve been testing more with offsets and noticed the issue with the slides and holds mostly only applied to charts in the “Potato Leaves” server which wasn’t featured in this video. Have you used that server before? If so, do you know what exactly is the difference between it and the Cyanvas one? It has many good charts but the gameplay does seem a little bugged.
@@zura3962 I think Potato Leaves came earlier so that could explain why the server feels kinda lacking (in terms of features). Though Potato Leaves and Chart Cyanvas both use the same engine (PJSekai+) so I would assume the gameplay shouldn't differ too much between each other. I think I kinda get what you mean with the sliders because they are kinda unpredictable at times, but after some adjustment with the Audio and Input Offsets it seemed to have improved a little. You can keep toggling them to see if it gets better, but if not you should definitely ask in the Sonolus Discord server if they have a solution 👌

I believe if you have your computer running it should be able to resign itself every week. Though to be safe you can jump into the AltStore app every 6 days to refresh the expiration date.

Yep it is safe. You can expect it to take up around 200MB initially, but it will eventually scale up to a couple GBs when you play more songs. There is an Auto Clean function in the Sonolus settings so that it never exceeds a certain amount. On my phone there is an option to save to SD card but I don't recommend it as it generally decreases performance and it doesn't really save that much storage.
I've been playing MarbleBlue [Re:Master] on the Cyanvas Chart server and it's very difficult, even though I've lowered the speed level to 90%, maybe because I often play using my thumb and it's very difficult to adapt to using 4 or more fingers (append diff)
when trying to signs my apple ID on alt store it just stays loading and then says "operation failed, alt server could not be found" and i dont know how to do it so i can login with my apple id

As far as I know, the ones that you see on UA-cam are custom mods and not a part of the official Sonolus servers. Might have to find a custom server with a custom skin.

Do you mean "AltServer could not be found"? Probably has something to do with your computer not being recognized then. Are both devices connected on the same network? testflight invitations are handed out on a specific schedule. they aren't open now unfortunately, but you can join their discord server to get notified for future testflight availability.
Flick notes are a lot more lenient in pjsk then they are in Sonolus. That could be why it feels so weird to play sometimes. If you are already fine with your offset settings then you might have to just keep playing until you get used to it unfortunately. Personally I always had an issue with hold flicks, I've noticed that if you flick too early it won't register.

does your computer recognize your ipad? if you're on windows maybe you don't have the drivers installed, maybe reinstall itunes to see if it can bring it up. you can use the link in the description as the microsoft store version doesn't work properly for some reason.
The app revokes if it isn't re-signed every week. You need to hop onto AltStore once every week to make sure the app is re-signed. Unfortunately I think you're gonna have to uninstall both apps and do it over again. It's a limitation of iOS 😔

Well, you will need to have internet connection in order to get the servers. If you want to play offline, you need to select your favorite charts and add them to a collection manually (as shown in the video).
Sonolus releases TestFlight slots at certain dates, so you will either need to sideload the app manually, or wait until they start opening up spots again. You can check out the Sonolus website or Discord server for upcoming slots once they start becoming available.
my screen is black in every song and performance test i play, but it still registers misses and greats and stuff. my vertical stage is 0% and i dont find anyone with the same problem. do you know how to fix it?
what device do you have? i searched this up in the discord server and it seems like it's a bug on lower end/older android devices. the devs are having a bit of trouble finding a fix for it unfortunately, but hopefully it gets fixed soon. 🤞
It could be a wifi thing? Maybe try switching networks. If not hopefully the troubleshoot guide can help faq.altstore.io/getting-started/troubleshooting-guide
If you go to the Sonolus Settings you can play around with the Graphics settings to see if that makes a difference (Render Mode and Render Scale for example).
If you can't refresh the app with AltStore you might have to completely reinstall the app again unfortunately. If you don't keep an app signed every week you lose access to the app. This is a limitation of iOS.

When you see the charts list, there should be a Filter option at the top, and you should be able to toggle off Append and Master.

why does the flicks notes are so difficult to do in Sonolus.. its much more of a process than pjsk, pls helpp
Flick notes are a lot more lenient in pjsk then they are in Sonolus. That could be why it feels so weird to play sometimes. If you are already fine with your offset settings then you might have to just keep playing until you get used to it unfortunately. Personally I always had an issue with hold flicks, I've noticed that if you flick too early it won't register.

does your computer recognize your ipad? if you're on windows maybe you don't have the drivers installed, maybe reinstall itunes to see if it can bring it up. you can use the link in the description as the microsoft store version doesn't work properly for some reason.

The app revokes if it isn't re-signed every week. You need to hop onto AltStore once every week to make sure the app is re-signed. Unfortunately I think you're gonna have to uninstall both apps and do it over again. It's a limitation of iOS 😔

Well, you will need to have internet connection in order to get the servers. If you want to play offline, you need to select your favorite charts and add them to a collection manually (as shown in the video).

Sonolus releases TestFlight slots at certain dates, so you will either need to sideload the app manually, or wait until they start opening up spots again. You can check out the Sonolus website or Discord server for upcoming slots once they start becoming available.

my screen is black in every song and performance test i play, but it still registers misses and greats and stuff. my vertical stage is 0% and i dont find anyone with the same problem. do you know how to fix it?
what device do you have? i searched this up in the discord server and it seems like it's a bug on lower end/older android devices. the devs are having a bit of trouble finding a fix for it unfortunately, but hopefully it gets fixed soon. 🤞

If you go to the Sonolus Settings you can play around with the Graphics settings to see if that makes a difference (Render Mode and Render Scale for example).
What should I do if it says Sonolus has expired
If you can't refresh the app with AltStore you might have to completely reinstall the app again unfortunately. If you don't keep an app signed every week you lose access to the app. This is a limitation of iOS.
