Every time I see someone in Project Sekai with a name like “I hate flick notes” or something, I send them a friend request telling them to “google mobile finger sleeves.” Truly a game changer
also, strongly recommend tempered glass screen protectors (regardless of matte/clear) instead of the plastic film type, just in general they are smoother and less prone to random scratches, and swipe to the side when appropriate
As an Arcaea player, I CANNOT vouch for the finger sleeves and the slip mat enough! They make sliding much smoother and prevents my iPad from going across tbe table when I'm moving a lot during the harder charts ^^
if your bare hands don't register touches well in general, it could also be the condition of your skin as perceived by the capacitive touch screen -- this is not exclusive to rhythm games, it can be a hassle if your hands are too dry or sweaty and touches won't register correctly -- plus it's uncomfortable! stay hydrated and consider humidifier/dehumidifier depending on the season -- lotion can help too but go easy since it can make hands sticky or leave smudges to wipe off
There’s also magnetic screen protectors! Removable and matte types, but if you have a screen protector already, some notes may not register to the thickness
I might need to test this at some point, the main thing I'm worried about is the stability. So for example if I did a slide/flick motion would it cause the screen protector to slide off? If it doesn't then yeah it could definitely be something to check out!
Honestly, the accessory I need the most are the finger gloves and the anti slippery thingy since I don't have a tablet and I use some headphones and doesn't have a delay or anything
typically when im playing pjsk on a tablet i like using a folio case to put my tablet at an angle because it helps with posture and so I don’t have to stare directly down at my tablet :3
this video is very informative!! i play on my phone with thumbs so this might not work as great for me but i'll definitely recommend it to any friends who are looking for gameplay tips. many thanks, glad i found this channel and look forward to seeing future content from you! (also love the saki/leoni theming as a leoni oshi)
thanks for watching! glad you found it useful! thumb players can also utilize the finger sleeves to a certain extent! if you've seen konohaprsk (木乃葉) play, he a very good thumb player, and uses finger sleeves while he plays. it could be worth trying out for you if you are ever considering them.
This is a bit random, but I use baby powder on my fingers as an alternative, - which can kind of work just as well for me since I don't have that sweaty hands. I mostly js use it cuz i have some left over from my ballet. I also use a rubber swim cap instead of an anti-slip mat since I don't have one, it still works pretty well tho Hope this helps someone!
WHY AM I ONLY SEEING THIS VIDEO NOWWW I should have gotten a screen protector years ago, my tablet already has these smudges permanently 😭😭😭 Definitely getting a matte one very soon...
i use finger sleeves pretty often since i find my fingers (especially my thumbs) tend to be too dry or wet to play, so having the sleeves stay the same helps my consistency
Sometimes the finger gloves don't register my tap at all, so I usually pull it down my finger but that also changes its form more (I usually play on thumb and they're thicker than the other fingers, so sticking to only using two for them seems to be the safer choice in case I want to do append)
Fuck I got rick rolled. Twice. Thrice. Probably would get the finger sleeves cause the amount of times I've lost an fc because my tap doesn't register pisses me off. At the very least this usually happens on songs I've already fc.
4:03 Jack's Ipad is looking pretty similar to how my phone looks as a thumb player, except my phone looks slightly worse. ...I think it might be time to change the screen protector lol Edit: It hasn't even lasted a year yet. I wanted to wait, but alas, this seems to be my last straw ig
Very nice video! I recently got an ipad and i use matte screen protector. Did you tweak some settings on your ipad to get smooth gameplay? I think it'll take sometime to get used to the ipad😅
congrats on the ipad! i didn't really tweak much in the settings, but you should definitely make sure that all the multi-finger gestures are off. this prevents the touchscreen from acting up when you have more than 3 fingers on the screen. my video roadmap is pretty stacked currently, but i plan to make a video about optimizing devices for rhythm games in the future, so i hope you can look forward to that 😁
I'm not sure how severe the burn is, but if you can wipe the screen as cleanly as possible and apply a new screen protector over it, you might be able to hide it to a certain extent.
i use a huawei matepad, using coasters (ya know, the things for hot drinks). since it slips on tables and i dont have a map, it helps. i use a rubber coaster, but i occasionally play on my couch while laying down for +++ comfort. :)
for phones, i usually find the experience a little better if i take off the case and put the phone directly on the mat. could be worth trying out if you haven't already. you can also try investing in the finger sleeves, i find those to help out a lot.
Hello, do you think a hydrogel matte screen protection is good for my phone? Cuz my samsung s24 can’t use a standard matte protector otherwise the fingerprint sensor won’t work at all.
i've never tried, but it's worth a shot if you're willing to go for it. my only concern is mainly just that it might be something that you have to replace often due to wear and tear.
most likely. but i dont recommend putting your tablet/phone up like a keyboard during osu!mania gameplay, since it was uncomfy for me. everyone has preferences, though!
hiiii so like i really like pjsk and stuff and im playing only on the phone which is fine i guess but i would like to improve! so like sorry for wasting your time and all but could you please reccomend me some good and well kinda cheep ipad to play? like im begging really please it doesnt need to be that cheep but i just want a good ipad to play pjsk :( oh and it is possible to switch account to another device rigtht? i dont want to start a new account...
no worries. what does your budget look like? the 5th gen ipad air is usually my go-to recommendation for most people. if you're on a tighter budget you could consider the 9th gen ipad. it's possible to transfer accounts between devices. if it's from android to ios (or vice versa) you will need to make a transfer password in-game and type it into the new device. if it's not cross platform you can directly transfer via game center or google play.
@@biriamu thanks for responding! you helped me alot, i think i can afford the 9 gen one so i will consider buying it! 🫶♥️ You are very nice by the way, i notice You respond to a lottt of people. Bless You!

finger gloves are truly a must

Dude i swear i'll literally use a spare phone case and glue it down to my table everytime i play
I WILL do it
for 7:00 if you don’t have this you can this the back of your mousepad (the black part) for it, it works great for me

@ i tried it once and the magnetic screen protectors didn’t move slightly ever, but it kinda depends on the quality of the magnet though
That's good to know. Thank you!
