If the skull is sitting too low and back over the C1, is this due to tight/weak neck muscles? Or is this also a ligament issue? Can this be corrected with physiotherapy?
Hi JP- Thanks for sharing. When cervical instability is the cause, then the treatment course would involve Prolotherapy to strengthen the ligament tissue that is allowing the excessive vertebral motion. Muscle strength/exercise is separate from ligaments (Exercise is for muscle tissue and Prolotherapy is for ligament tissue). Muscles would not make an unstable joint stable again if the undying problem is ligamentous, although exercise can be part of the overall "neck program" when someone needs curve correction. In our practice, those specific exercises are prescribed to patients depending on what was seen on their Digital motion x-ray and other scans as well as physical exam. Hope that helps explain the direction of the video a little more. Wish you all the best in health!
I have mild to moderate cervical instability and spondylosis, I've seen a few doctors and chiropractors, as well as had 5 Prolotherapy sessions so far. Noticing a slight improvement, but I still get days of alot of dizziness, arm numbness/lethargy and pinching lethargy down my sciatic in my legs. I am frustrated because I don't know what to do in regards to immobilizing my neck, or exercising and stretching it more, all my docs and chiropractors say different things. I would really appreciate some help. Also I am going in next week for a PRP session instead of the Prolotherapy.
Hi @petersonjesse75 - We are so sorry to hear that you aren't getting clear answers about your condition. We cannot recommend any treatment plans without first examining your case. It would be a good idea to ask about a neck brace (for immobilizing) and maybe start there. We are praying for your healing - God has a plan!
Appreciate the reply, and as a follow-up I had my PRP session as well as a DMX scan last month. The DMX showed too much movement going on with my Atlas and Axis vertebrae, which are banging into my vagus nerve quite a bit and my Alar ligaments being stretched loose and in bad shape. I suppose I could continue with more PRP or Prolotherapy injections, but I was also looking into a doctor in Colorado that does injections from the other direction through the mouth and back of the throat to get at the alar ligament more directly.
I have a question ❓ I was in a car accident December 30 2022 told me I broken c1and C2, been in a neck brace since now saying I need surgery? Really would appreciate some Advice! Already end of May 2023 😢😢

If you have a vertebrae malrotation that is fixed with upper cervical chiropractic and you hold the adjustment, then is that a sign that you don't have instability?
I have C5 to C7 problems but kinda wondering about this C2 problem 🤔 I have most of these symptoms to but do you have videos on C5C6C7 I'm seemingly not able to find them
Ooh, do you have the brand and model of the chair on hand by chance? Even if it’s out of my price range it can give me a baseline to work from finding one of my own. Otherwise I don’t know where to start. But between bypermobile joints and practically nonexistent proprioception, and being autistic and NEEDING to move to self regulate, I spent most of my elementary school years falling out of chairs and fighting till my desk was across the room. All “correct” posture stuff doesn’t seem to help. I just can’t comfortably sit in a regular chair. My legs always wanna be involved. I perch like a gargoyle a lot but it’s a little too high energy to do all the time so a kneeling chair where my legs get to be engaged looks perfect. I mean maybe it’ll work for me maybe it won’t. But if you have a lower budget one you’d recommend to someone on a fixed income who wants to try these that’s not so cheaply made it’s not really comparable to a middle of the road one, that’s be welcome too. Of course I’ll be hunting on my own since my desk chair is on its last legs, so to speak. I have no doubt my c2 is a disaster area but a problem I’ve struggled with so much the more I age is furniture being built to lounge or relax on being the most uncomfortable stuff ever. And especially the past few years it feels like half the time my upper body and lower body are trying to go their separate ways. So I’ve been trying lots of different sitting, kneeling, squatting, etc positions to see what feels right and finally makes me stop feeling off balance and a kneeling chair like that looks like it matches up with the kind of stuff I’ve been intuitively trying to do for ages with furniture not built for it. My SI joints a mess too and I’m really eager to retrain my legs hips and core to work together with stuff like this.
Hi Haphazard Lark- Thanks for asking. The kneeling rocker in the video is the Varier Variable Balans- Monochrone Series. Wishing you all the best in healing!
I started using sacral blocks I ordered off of Amazon (they look like large door stops) and my UC Dr showed me how to use them for lower back and Sacro Iliac (SI) pain (SI is knife in buttocks pain)...mostly caused by a twisted pelvis...one hip is forward and the other one is backward, a chiropractor can tell you which is forward and which is backward. You place one sacral block under the top hip of the hip that's twisted backward and you place the other block under the opposite side buttock (this is the forward hip). Hope this helps. I've noticed that my upper cervical instability is a bit better from keeping my pelvis untwisted. I use the blocks before going to bed every nite.
This has been my problem for years. Always going to Chiropractic or having to do MET type Physio isometrics to unrotate it. But I'm thinking I need prolotherapy and/or PRP
Sometimes adjustments can be helpful, however if there is instability and loose joints, the pain will continue. We would love to get you in for a consult, you can contact us directly and someone from our office staff can get to know more about your case.
No, that would be a misaligned hyoid probably or thyroid/tracheal cartilages. They're significantly further ahead of where the neck vertebrae are by a few inches.
Great question!!! It is unlikely that they would heal. Instability is degenerative means it worsens over time. Working on your posture can definitely slow the process but it wouldn’t necessarily correct it.
Is it possible that ligamentous laxity symptoms start at age of 23 , mostly in knee , and how the ligaments of knee is affected?, Pls Hope u reply One more question can ligamentous laxity effect the person without family history related , and are ligmentous and hypermobility the same?? Thanks
I was wondering and thinking about the development of methods. Would it be possible to use a person's healthy blood plasma for prolotherapy? Like a healthy parent? since I got the condition from my mom and her side. And my dad is completely healthy, he did have cancer about 16 yrs ago and a heart attack but otherwise he seems to be more healthy than us? Since I got 50 % of him would it be possible if they have the same bloodtype? Is there any research on this?
Dr Hauser, I’m trying to teach my drs about this because I have increased intracranial pressure that they can’t figure out why and nobody sees this here, I’m waiting for an LP but if it’s in my head above the jugular and they go into lumbar spine, will this even identify the pressure above IJV in LP? Will this even take any pressure off my head??
Hi harmony331000- Thanks for sharing and sorry that your doctors have not been able to get to the root cause of the problem yet. We understand it can be very frustrating trying to get answers in these situations. We've seen patients here after they had an LP but it either only helped temporarily or not at all and they were still left with a lot of questions and few answers on their case. That's why they come to our office and we find answers by using dynamic scanning methods. If you would like our team to help you get to the bottom of it, we'd be happy to help you here in our center and you're welcome to reach out to us directly. Wishing you all the best in healing!

People laughed at me when I told them I drank salty water before my Mri but I fast walked around the building to get my leak going so(I) could see my csf leak myself (on my copy of the mri). It sure worked. I have some of the best brain and spine images . I was t-boned by a fuel truck and had to be extracted. It's not funny that doctors never find anything wrong. I could do a blood patch to seal the nasal leak but the pressure would just find another way out. I wouldn't do a spinal tap because I'm not a tire and I don't need my pressure checked and extra holes in my spine. Ive been going thru this for 25 years and have been managing it myself. I have reverse lordosis, herniated c 4/5, C7 joint hypertrophy. My blood thinner is garlic ..of coarse. I take no meds. I would def go to Caring Medical. Ive never had a nerve block injection and turned down the c4/c5 fusion because I know I have lost injury of Atlanto .
Always learn so much from you. Thank you for making these videos.💛
If the skull is sitting too low and back over the C1, is this due to tight/weak neck muscles? Or is this also a ligament issue? Can this be corrected with physiotherapy?
Dang. I’ve got a couple rotated vertebrae. Was hoping maybe some strengthening exercises or something
I suppose I could continue with more PRP or Prolotherapy injections, but I was also looking into a doctor in Colorado that does injections from the other direction through the mouth and back of the throat to get at the alar ligament more directly.
are you better? You can try EMTT for all ligaments way cheaper@@NeithDollhouse
So how is this fixed!?!? 😢😭😭😭😭
my c2 is rotated to the right but i can't turn left over 75 degree, turning to right is perfect that is wired
Can it cause a burning throat feeling? I also feel like my eyes are vibrating and a pulsation in my nose area. Doctors have no answers.
I have a question ❓ I was in a car accident December 30 2022 told me I broken c1and C2, been in a neck brace since now saying I need surgery? Really would appreciate some Advice! Already end of May 2023 😢😢
Hi Dr.Hauser
I was diagnosed with a high yugular bulb.
I’ve been having dizziness, tinnitus, hearing loss and get numbness on the left side of my face.
I’ve been with many doctors and the only thing they say is that high yugular bulb is normal.
Do you think you can help me?
Greetings Dr Hauser, due to circumstances i am not able to travel or pay for treatment.
Are there any exercises which can help correct spinal disc malrotation?
I am in dire need of relief as it has been 8 years since ive been like this.
We are so sorry to hear that you have been dealing with this for such a long time. Unfortunately, it would not be right for us to give exercises if we have not yet see and assessed you as we wouldn’t want to make the problem worse. We do have a lot of great resources on our website www.caringmedical.com/prolotherapy-news/cervical-myelopathy-cervical-degenerative-disc-disease-cervicovagopathy/amp/
We are praying for your healing and hope to see you in person in the future! God bless!
@@CaringmedicalProlotherapy I have recently gotten an x-ray done, but I don't trust anyone except you guys. Would it be possible for me to send my neck x-rays over.
I was told that it's a normal x-ray, however I can see some abnormalities.
@@PearlsOfwiszdomLol, wrong decision, buddy
If you have a vertebrae malrotation that is fixed with upper cervical chiropractic and you hold the adjustment, then is that a sign that you don't have instability?
yes makes sense for me everything shifts everday and I have some severe instability in my upper neck.
Interesting timing. Maybe this is me. Can you feel this bone from the front of the neck?
No, that would be a misaligned hyoid probably or thyroid/tracheal cartilages. They're significantly further ahead of where the neck vertebrae are by a few inches.
@@trebmaster thanks, it's actually front/side. Like under the ear/jaw area.
Can ligaments and tendons in your neck heal on their own if maintained good posture
Great question!!! It is unlikely that they would heal. Instability is degenerative means it worsens over time. Working on your posture can definitely slow the process but it wouldn’t necessarily correct it.
Is it possible that ligamentous laxity symptoms start at age of 23 , mostly in knee , and how the ligaments of knee is affected?, Pls Hope u reply
One more question can ligamentous laxity effect the person without family history related , and are ligmentous and hypermobility the same??
What if you have a split atlas?
Yep all this- no one can identify or help
Is c1 c2 cause pots like symptom
Can you tell CCI from regular still x-rays?
Patty sometimes, but usually need to do upright motion xrays.
@@zakyvids6566 They have 3 D Cone Beam CT available now...developed for dentists but they can see the upper cervical region wonderfully and is now being used by Upper Cervical Doctors and it is cheaper than DMX and MRI...an Upper Cervical Dr here in St Louis where I live has a machine, he only charges $350, (here it costs between $100 to $600 according to how many areas they image). This might be an alternative to a Digital Motion Xray (DMX) to get some kind of imaging to look inside if DMX is simply not available. Hope this helps and God Bless You! I know that the DMX shows the patient in movement...it takes thousands of single pictures like digital photographs while the patient is moving and bending and chains them together to make a video movie so that the Dr. can see how the ligaments and bones and joint are functioning.
After c2 right afjustment am not feling well what we do now plz help i feel vision problm fogines stifnes

can this cause tmj? ive been suffering from 7 years not and evrything it goes from my neck, idk where to seek help i live in Croatia , evryone are so bad here
Cervical instabilty can cause a wide range of symptoms and TMJ pain is one of them. We have treated several individuals with TMJ issues.
@@CaringmedicalProlotherapy i wish u guys are near me, i assume this canot be done tru video call? do u have anyone to recomend in Croatia?
We cannot diagnosis without first doing exams and consult. We do have patients who travel from all over the globe but we understand that travel is not feasible for all. We can however recommend that you start with a google search and see if there is a provider near you who specializes in cervical instability that can get you in for an exam and consult.

Which ligament fails to allow c2 malrotation?
I know that the Alar Ligaments attach at the C2 and they go up like a V and the Transverse Ligament that is holding the dens deep inside but Dr Hauser would know lots more. I hope that he answers back and would let us know if he can treat this with Prolotherapy and if this can be a separate issue from CCJ or AAI instability and/or how C2 malrotation affects it. MANY THANKS DR HAUSER!
