At the same time they refuse to come back and also improve the first two or at least Genshin in particular. Why do HI3rd and HSR have interesting endgame to play around with, when you are done with the current story arc and Genshin doesn't? Why does HSR have the option of crafting artifact with specified main stat (although the mat is rare) and Genshin doesn't? Why does HSR have compelling meta characters scaling with virtually all stats? ATK, DEF, crit stats, healing bonus, HP, break effect, hit rate, speed ... none of these is a dead stat. There are strong meta characters that scale with every one of these. In Genshin there TECHNICALLY are characters that scale with many of the artifact stats as well, but are they good enough for me to give a shit? Not really, no. I still only care about getting artifacts with crit stats and attack for 98% of my hypercarry characters and bunch of ER on my supports, there are exceptions, but the game just isn't balanced the way HSR is. They really care to add new powerful character for every stat you can roll, to make building characters more interesting. You also get more resin (TP) in HSR, you have higher cap, you have "overcap" of sorts, where you can store a lot when you take a break. Where is this in Genshin? Credit and XP mat farming also feels a bit more rewarding, although I'd still expect to see more returns for 24 hours worth of resin. Also big events in HSR can be played at any time. They don't get deleted after the time limited rewards are gone, they go to archive, where you can still play them if you missed the event and you will get the persistent rewards, which are separate. Because why would you just delete content you spent time developing, it's so obvious, yet in Genshin ... no lessons that were learned, were applied back to making the game better. Long story short, basically every system in HSR is better, than corresponding system in Genshin, meanwhile Genshin does nothing to catch up to the QoL of HSR.

This doesn’t represent the casuals that haven’t played other gacha games to ground their perspective. Although you could say it’s a case of a loud minority in the casual space, it’s definitely a loud majority in the gacha community, and for a reason.
@@josephtsai1003 my entire point is that 90% of Genshin players are casual. The gacha community thinks Genshin is bad because Genshin's value to players is not in its gacha mechanics. The whole thing that makes Genshin so good is what the gacha community hates about it. Tectone is a good example of why gacha game players do not like Genshin. Tectone really just wants to get his gacha high. He does not really care about actual game quality, as clearly evidenced by his game choices. It is a loud minority in the intended demographic for Genshin and a loud majority within a very annoying minority. The satuartion point is valid for me but only on the first picture. His pity take hovewer is ridiculous. So what the blud said was: Any pity system is bad essentialy because it makes you spend money(somehow?). Like bro, which's a better game, where you know that you're going to get a 5* character in like 90 pulls guaranteed or the game where you can spend 500$ or it's equivalent as a FT2 and get nothing?
He probably was talking about gacha system in general, how it's predatory and the game would be better not as a gacha, but he articulated it poorly. And the thing is, that's basically the whole video - he was making some valid points that can be considered a valid criticism, but because of the way he articulates it you have to give him a LOT of a benefit of a doubt, which is basically creating arguements in his stead.
If you want an answer to the desaturated question, I can give the objective one. People just enjoy bright colors from their bright monitors blasting in their poor little eyes in as dark a room as possible. That’s just a fact. But how do you communicate sadness and a literal apocalypse while having colors being vibrant? Make desaturated things more desaturated, and saturated things more saturated. Make the yellows and greens pop, while making the grey just that much more dull. It doesn’t communicate things being child-like, but it does drastically enhance the visual appeal to the average person. The quality of the visual isn’t in the raw saturation, it’s in the contrast between saturation and desaturation. It’s why you don’t like it when dark rooms like fucking #0000FF blue, and you’d rather them be desaturated grays and a desaturated blue overlay for moonlit scenarios.
You communicate the sadness through dialogue and story. In cinematography there’s plenty of “sad” movies with high saturated colours because it puts more emphasis on the contrast between the visuals and underlying story/dialogue
Why do people think post-apocalyptic settings are supposed to be dull and grey? If you think about it nature takes over again and it's effing beautiful. Look at The Last of Us. Like Tectone says; just have areas that are grey and muted.
People that have complained about the saturation has taken away the dystopian sci-fi feel of this game, it’s just so unfortunate. Back in technical test 1 with the crownless it actually felt like a Kuro game-similar to pgrs ui and design.. but damn. I’ll bet most who did yap about this are long term Genshin players because the pretty vibrant colours have been exposed to their eyes for so long. I don’t want to play another fantasy open world game ever again. Rant over
yo, i cant stay too long on the net cus work & tired, so i m very selective with what i m gonna watch on the net. But damn.. this thumbnail really caught me, its so good, its like i can hear tectone's screen just thru the thumbnail. cheeers!
20:30 actually Honkai Impact also has some crazy over the top ult animations and thats with real time combat. It actually doesn't matter if a game is turn based or not. Bronya goes into space with her bike then rains down a bunch of lasers, and once the animation is over you're back in the battlefield continuing the fight if the enemy didn't die.
Yeah, this wasn't the best arguement Tectone could have given, since being able to destroy a planet with a move doesn't depend that much on a genre if it basically happens in a cutscene. However, there is an arguement that shorter ults are better for dynamic gameplay. I'm a sucker for flashy supers but if the game is fast-paced but every time I do my best attack I have to watch a 10-second cutscene it's going to get dull fast. Even in Honkai not all supers are super-long. Additionally, in a way it somewhat helps showing that the ult is just a strong move, not the fight finisher. Big animation makes you think "this attack is so bombastic, I need to get it ASAP" while simpler move gives more of a "this will give me an advantage, but the fight is still going" feel
That take on genshin being a revolutionary change for gacha is so wrong. People do not realise it but gacha isn't really a genre by itself, it's a monetary system that can be implemented in EVERY game genre to get a continuous cash income. Get the fact straight : Mihoyo took Breath of the Wild and put gacha into it, they did not invent anything. *Yes it was absolutely the first high quality high production gacha game, one of the reason of their success but that's beside the point.
@22:30 He bought the Jolly Ranchers instead of robbing someone and stealing them. Their sweet taste probably matched his sweet satisfaction from behaving righteously (or something like that, lmao :p)
the good thing about game with good combat system is whenever they added new update which include new story, new character, new enemy and boss. players will find a new way to have fun! and imagine if they added new mode into the game, which means players doesn't have to worry about what they gonna do when they've reach the end game. well the bad thing is means that there'll be more stuff to do, and some players probably think "this become chores real quick rather than fun experience". and about that dialogue. made it like paragraph style or something? what is he thinking? star wars prologue? wtf. it's a game, with VA in it. of course i want to listen&read one line at a time to absorb the experience. other than that, i think it's about his personal taste. and will not affect the game at all even if kuro games doesn't listen to that guy.
Actual concerns: - is the current content long term viable? Yeah the bosses are cool etc, but how will people feel about it in a month? Is there enough to do? - do they have the resources for frequent updates? How long until we get new regions? New bosses? Will the speed with which they deliver new stuff be at all comparable to mihoyo? - is the marketing good enough? If no one plays it day 1, itll probably stay dead forever - are they ever going to deviate from their current style, or are all zones going to be muted colors with a fog filter slapped on?
10:46 a simple fix here would be to just give the user an indicator like (1/12) (3/12) etc. of how long the conversation will be so you get an idea whether you want to skip through all this shit or actually take an interest reading.
Also, what if everytime you skip there's a quick summary of it, like: "Natalie gives you a rundown of where she last seen her book" It will make it a lot easier understanding any quests and reduce the fear of missing out important info on dialogs
10:00 funny but as speed reader (i read books, insane ik) 2 paragraphs is indeed pain as it is a second to read for me (literally) it's just so much of clicking, not a problem when its voiced (i dont read then) but if it's just text (silent) then there should be more text per window.
im glad the animation isn't crazy when you first pull, but the animation for the damn character intro is what takes the cake, I hate long summoning animations for the first initial pull. I LOVE the animation intro...
oh you saw this too, lol. The thing with the graphics though, I have heard a lot of people complaining about genshin being too bright, and i think if WuWa switch to the brighter style it'll mimic genshin even more, which will become part of his strike 1. So personally i think WuWa should stick to their own intended art style. The developer said they made some places more vibrant while keeping other places more gray, and i think that should be a good balance.

Like Tectone says; just have areas that are grey and muted.
an open world that feels lively would be something like horizon zero dawn
My brain can't comprehend with this man, somebody take his cooking license
Dude talking about "low saturation" while cosplaying "this character is locked" ... i can't
He just using Photoshop, so his take is stupid beside there a brightness settings if he did get in the game 😂
WHO LET THAT MAN COOK, GORDON RAMSAY GONNA BE SO MAD TO THE POINT HE WILL USE MAID OUTFIT AND DANCE GYAT FOR NERIZZLER!!!
Tectone working hard for that cookie run sponsor, gotta mention it in every video at least once
Rant over
Oh boy my guess is this guy try to cook and ended up burning down the house
Bro was NOT cooking, in fact he burned the kitchen down out of spite 😂
I won't trust someone thats so confident that he even say "Let me cook" smh
yo, i cant stay too long on the net cus work & tired, so i m very selective with what i m gonna watch on the net. But damn.. this thumbnail really caught me, its so good, its like i can hear tectone's screen just thru the thumbnail. cheeers!
people need to give my boy kuro props for actually putting effort into their games
Alternate video title : Say you are a genshin stan without saying you are a genshin stan
“Let me cook”
It’s fockin RAW
"Bro let me cook"
*Proceeds to cook himself and burn down the kitchen*
20:20 that's one of the selling points of a turn based game, having the characters do really dope ultimates.
His words contradict himself lmao
This man cooking like Raiden Ei
Used to play crk 2 or 3 odd years ago and seeing teccy nerd out on it is such a vibe
Man I am laughing at the dude coz WuWa has a skip button
Bro cooked and it backfired hard.
Wuwa actually fix all genshin problem, better combat, fast climbing, co op for echo/artifact farming, end game content, and more
dawg saw anime and said yea thats genshin
every genshin player ever
Bro predicting the entire storyline being "NOT GOOD" without the game officially released.
7:05 I will admit that tower of fantasy was at least generous for having a saturated option in the settings
serious question
is tectone a living breathing CRK ad?
That take on genshin being a revolutionary change for gacha is so wrong. People do not realise it but gacha isn't really a genre by itself, it's a monetary system that can be implemented in EVERY game genre to get a continuous cash income.
Get the fact straight : Mihoyo took Breath of the Wild and put gacha into it, they did not invent anything.
*Yes it was absolutely the first high quality high production gacha game, one of the reason of their success but that's beside the point.
10:50 I've played hundreds of games and all the big titles and he's actually so real for that
I actually like the more desaturated look for the environment. My problem was always that the characters looked out of place in comparison.
@22:30 He bought the Jolly Ranchers instead of robbing someone and stealing them. Their sweet taste probably matched his sweet satisfaction from behaving righteously (or something like that, lmao :p)
Bro cooked without ingredients
I didn't expect tectone to like cookie run kingdom so much, this makes me want to go and play it again!
the good thing about game with good combat system is whenever they added new update which include new story, new character, new enemy and boss. players will find a new way to have fun! and imagine if they added new mode into the game, which means players doesn't have to worry about what they gonna do when they've reach the end game. well the bad thing is means that there'll be more stuff to do, and some players probably think "this become chores real quick rather than fun experience".
and about that dialogue. made it like paragraph style or something? what is he thinking? star wars prologue? wtf. it's a game, with VA in it. of course i want to listen&read one line at a time to absorb the experience.
other than that, i think it's about his personal taste. and will not affect the game at all even if kuro games doesn't listen to that guy.
That Video is a meaning of "I have words i want to say so i will spout Non Sense"
i wonder how he felt now
Actual concerns:
- is the current content long term viable? Yeah the bosses are cool etc, but how will people feel about it in a month? Is there enough to do?
- do they have the resources for frequent updates? How long until we get new regions? New bosses? Will the speed with which they deliver new stuff be at all comparable to mihoyo?
- is the marketing good enough? If no one plays it day 1, itll probably stay dead forever
- are they ever going to deviate from their current style, or are all zones going to be muted colors with a fog filter slapped on?
New genshin killer cookie run kingdom 😂😂
10:46 a simple fix here would be to just give the user an indicator like (1/12) (3/12) etc. of how long the conversation will be so you get an idea whether you want to skip through all this shit or actually take an interest reading.
Also, what if everytime you skip there's a quick summary of it, like: "Natalie gives you a rundown of where she last seen her book"
It will make it a lot easier understanding any quests and reduce the fear of missing out important info on dialogs
@@theivyrosesxd1320 agreed
@@theivyrosesxd1320 echocalypse has something like that and I liked it, it’s a good idea
Omg I love Cookie run kingdom sonic and tails are just such good cookies 🤗
the mobs will be memorable cuz you need to farm them 10,000 times to get a decent echo of it
Funny how they say all that against kuro games but wont do any take when hoyoverse makes character or skill animation similar to PGR. 😂
10:00 funny but as speed reader (i read books, insane ik) 2 paragraphs is indeed pain as it is a second to read for me (literally)
it's just so much of clicking, not a problem when its voiced (i dont read then) but if it's just text (silent) then there should be more text per window.
im glad the animation isn't crazy when you first pull, but the animation for the damn character intro is what takes the cake, I hate long summoning animations for the first initial pull. I LOVE the animation intro...
Dude's not a Clown he's the Whole Circus 🤣
Dude cooked a precooked frozen dinner and managed to make it raw.
It would be really good if the players enters a specific area the environment effects and colours changes. If WuWa implements this it would be great.
oh you saw this too, lol.
Camera lock already was in in CBT2.
When you mentioned Monster hunter, the first monster that came to my mind was Alatreon. I guess i might be a physician.
19:30 literally the reason I don't use eula even tho I like her. It breaks the combat flow on how long the ult swing is.
26:13 Naw bro NEVER LET THIS GUY COOK. This exact thing about having a main enemy ingane already exists with exiles, you'll see them cooking food, fighting other enemies, doing situps, conversing, and even holding hands. Bro did not play the cbt lol.
Bro cooked himself
He's right the game localisation sucks, story sucks, Tectone chat were complaining about performance issues
@@ChocoVisionit sounds lime your being bias and not giving it a fair chance, shit happens no game launch is perfect
that dude maybe never tried punishing gray raven XD
It's just that the dude doesn't know the post-apocalyptic World design!
Keep yapping about genshin LoL
What about it
"I play gacha games"
*Only plays Hoyoverse games
bro wanted to end world hunger with his cook, but he cook the kids instead.
As a tower of fantasy fan and a genshin fan. Tof has improved leaps and bounds since launch. The new areas are so dynamic and the plot is really enthralling. They listened to the community and changed their game. I like genshin a lot but wish they would do the same.
Even though I can't play it (because it keeps kicking me out before I can even play the game) it definitely looks great
I've always liked ToF. Wish they had more male characters but I understand that 99% of the players are guys so..
If have Ming Jing. I'm happy 😂.
I actually started on a new account yesterday. I’ve been having fun so far
And yet it took them to have 90% of the players leave to improve their game lmao
@@skyzell5029no they don't, the improvement already started early on but there's so much issues needed to fix for mmo open world on top of being their first game. ToF is hella buggy, grindy, competitive gacha which kinda hurt cause one weapon literary just fly skyhigh so doing pvp is meta dependant. But with all said and done they actually improving which this type game company should do.
btw you can change the contrast and brightness in monitor settings and nvidia settings.
dude is like your neighbor karen who trying to find your smallest mistake and make it a big issues for them 😂
no way blud said the dialogue is “too long and bloated” half of genshins story quest are paimon dumbing down what we already know and talking to npc we never met and will never meet again lmaoo
Fr fr
Bro used THE SUN as his fire source to cook
15:45 this man talking about DBLegends broly jump scare😂
TECTONE advertising LIKE CRAZy
LOL i love it
Bro was told to cook and ended up doing the laundry 😭
I still don’t understand how people compare a game that’s still in its beta state to a game that’s already mainstream
this isn't a reaction video, this is just a goddamn cookie run kingdom ad holy shit
I really don't care about those, i play on potato pc, if Wuthering Waves, can run my PC i have no complain.
The only reason why i play genshin at the same time Honkai StarRail is that i can run barely just around 30-45FPS in lowest settings.
3:07 the character creator was pretty sweet. The rest was hot garbo lol. I do miss my custom char though. She was hot af
