Toyota RAV4 (2014-2018) Interior Light Replacement (Map Lights, Vanity Mirror, Dome, & Cargo Area)

- In this video, we upgrade a (fourth generation/early model year) 2018 Toyota RAV4's interior lighting to 6000K LED lighting. We start up front with the map light, move to the often forgotten vanity light, then the dome light and finally the cargo area light. The area behind the rear hatch only has the one light, so it was upgraded to an extra bright LED so that the cargo can be seen even better. No need for LED strip lighting!
Trim removal tools: amzn.to/2KJPWsF
Normal brightness white 194 LED pair: amzn.to/3f9WZJo
Extra bright white 194 LEDs: amzn.to/35buypQ (Great for trunk area)
Also, because I was curious, I tried out a red LED in one of the map lights. It looked pretty cool, but some folks don't appreciate having red or blue lights if you're not in their club.

Hi from Puerto Rico! Thank you so much for the video! Just got a full interior set of LEDs for my 2017 Toyota Rav4 in the mail from Precision Led and your video will help immensely with the install!!
LED's are so much better then the old style bulbs. Glad my Crosstrek has them or I would have changed them like you did to your Crosstrek.
They are indeed! Some interiors really come alive with 6000K lighting!
Trying out that red LED really made me want to build something with a fun interior lighting color sometime.
@@CarsSimplified that would be interesting!
Nice modern update!
Indeed! That red bulb seemed fun, too! Maybe I'll make something with a fun interior lighting color sometime down the road!
Great video, very quick and to the point!
Great video! I haven't been able to remove the bulbs. I am pulling them out, but with no success. 😩
Awesome video! Thanks for doing it
where can i buy these lights
Appreciate it!
Hello, I did the same to mine i have changed every interior bulb to JDM ASTAR LED, but i have an issue and i don't know if its the brand or its just the visor mechanism, that's when i move the visor up and down the LED flickers a bit , but when its stay still the LED stays on, but the rest is fine and i wish that its was all LED from factory.
It could be the brand, but with flickers, I always like to check to make sure all connections are clean and well connected. Dirty or loose connections can cause a flicker, too. Damaged wiring can also do that, but that's not common.
The only trouble that i have is pulling the bulb from visor area
I haven't been able to pull them out.
Link for the rear dome bulb?
Is it really that easy? Just swap out the old stock bulb for LEDS?
Yes, as long as the bulb is ok for that socket. If the light is the wrong orientation, take it out and put it the other way, 180°, and it should then work when the light is activated
Can you come over to my house and do the cargo light for me LOL I'm pretty sure I'm going to break that plastic piece 👍
Just get the Toyota dealer to do it for ya
