    Congratulations SpaceX. You've made the extraordinary, commonplace.

      Thomas Shepard yes this is real, you missed the first one that was called grasshopper that just barely left the pad. this is Success from errors in the past some of the Rockets did blow up. SpaceX is not the only company that has a heavy-lift rocket that is reusable . an amazing accomplishment

      Amazing indeed. And though it may be possible to fake such video, there are far far too many witnesses who have seen these test flights not to mention the successful landings of Falcon first stages, in person.
      But I've already spent too much time in this rabbit hole. So, Mr. Shepherd, please continue to believe that this footage is fake if you want. I won't stop you...

    To land on a rocket on a barge in the middle of the ocean is fucking insane. The sheer calculation and technology that goes into making that happen. The barge is rocking all over the place...

      @@omarlives they didn't choose a rocking barge. That's just what the ocean does. If they want to land rockets on water, this is what they'll have to deal with.

      @@omarlives They chose a barge as they launch the rocket East from Florida over the ocean. To land back in Florida would require the rocket to turn backwards burning up more fuel. To land in the ocean is a lot easier because you can continue to use the horizontal momentum from the launch to propel the rocket to the ocean. The drone ship is tracking the core's trajectory and places itself automatically where the core is going to land based on a lot of factors. techcrunch.com/2016/02/22/spacexs-ses-9-launch-and-why-they-land-rockets-at-sea/

    Half way into the video, you can see how easily these stage crumble and blow up. Like, the one thought that would pop in anyone's head would be "That is just impossible, why do you even bother?"
    And then, gradually, more and more of them actually managed to make the impossible possible. More and more of them continue to gives us hope about the future of spacetraveling. And that gives chills down my spine.

You probably know but for the ones that don't, they found a planet in the Goldilocks zone in the closest Star that's 4.3 light years away from our Star (SUN) . Light travels at 186,282 miles a second in the vacuum of space. so Cool .. Most people also don't know light speed also slows down depending on the medium that is traveling through.

      StopSpot there are Water World's around other Stars(sun's) our Sun and planets are not the only ones in a 125 Billion Galaxies. NASA have about 100 different Apps if you want to learn about Space and Earth. You can also learn about Climate Change on Earth and why we have to act to save ourselves from the oceans rising. The climate change that is happening now is mostly caused from man-made pollution . Are you could study 1930 Dust Bowl that happen in the US caused by over Farming. Scientist told us what we did to cause it and we had to switch to No-till Farming. I am also from the country but I love Science and Space. I even have Podcast on iTunes called Super Professor's Podcast. I am also on Amazon with my books and CD's. New book going out called Dream Your Dreams that goes with my CD. Every single person who says it's fake has never took the opportunity to go see a launch and landing for themselves. Which makes them look extremely foolish to the people who take the time to go witness something before they pretend to be an expert on it. Go outside, see for yourself, no one is hiding these launches and landings. Then come back and tell us about how fake it is. Otherwise stop mouthing off about things you know nothing about.

Like you really think this is fake with more than half the clips being fails and ending in explosions? Don’t you think if it was fake, they would make it appear as a 100 percent success rate. Like the only reason Eddie would think this is fake is because he’s a flat earther and they show the round earth in the background of some of the clips.

      @@TheMaster5059 No point in arguing with these flat earth space deniers. Their whole premise is that the governments of the world need to convince us the earth is a globe and space is real to make us feel small and insignificant. We've always felt small and insignificant, so that premise makes no sense. So then they finally admit that it's about "destroying God". Why do we need space to do that?
      As you dig deeper, you find out that 99.9% of these space denying flat earth lunatics, are just religious/spiritual people who make up excuses to validate their faith. If you ever show them the science and mathematics to explain the phenomena they claim is fake, they either start saying "that's Scientism, it's a religion" as they simultaneously repeat the exact same thing as every other flat earther like a cult member. Just look at the channels and playlists for their accounts, it's all flat earth, conspiracies and spirituality. They NEVER research anything contrary to their preconceived notions, it's confirmation bias to the extreme. Either that or they are just too damn stupid to even comprehend the equations and concepts you provide them with to debunk their stupidity. I like Eddie Bravo and Sam Tripoli, many of the conspiracies they talk about have some actual evidence supporting them, but flat earth has none. The reason they think this video is fake is the shadow of the rocket compared to the water tower because they don't understand how hills/elevation, lights, shadows and fish eye lenses work. They just learn the most basic of concepts like "a single light source should mean all shadows are at the exact same angle" and never dig deeper to ACTUALLY figure out how light/shadows work when variables are taken into account. Hell, I really with Elon would strap one of these people to a rocket to prove the earth isn't flat and space is real. And please make it a one way trip.

      Remember; some of the rockets that landed on the drone ship tipped over and exploded from the waves and the wind.
      The scientists take that data and make better tech or adjust their existing tech to compensate.

    • @thomaswijgerse723
      @thomaswijgerse723 6 років тому

      well, they never tipped over because of winds or waves, the stage is so heavy it isnt affected a lot by those factors, and it uses gridfins to keep it stable.
      also waves arent a problem because the asds uses 4 thrusters to keep itself steady while the stage lands on it.

    Quick question. How toxic is that smoke? I'm just curious, because I'm wondering how close an engineer or person can actually be to the rocket when it comes down? I'm guessing half a mile...far enough away to be safe from most shrapnel or toxic smoke. (though, I know a guy who was further than half a mile during the demolition of a power plant, and a piece of shrapnel took off his leg. It was kind of a freak accident.)

    • @Joaquin-cr3kd
      @Joaquin-cr3kd 4 роки тому

      Nope, none of parts are damaged. The 1st stage is separated at a relatively slow speed, compared to an orbital speed of 7700m/s, It also fires its engines to further slow itself down before entering the thicker part of the atmosphere. So the heat is low enough for the stage to withstand it.
