Talk about misleading. I assume as click bait. She definitely did not die in a slum. She left £5 million to charity. Why lie when her actual ending is already a pretty sad story.
The home provided in the Bois de Bologne was hardly a slum. It's a shame that her French lawyer took such advantage of the elderly duchess, but still I hardly feel sorry for her. The lawyer should have been prosecuted.

Wallis did not want to marry Bertie. She was already married to a wealthy American and had a somewhat ‘open’ marriage. She tried to put Bertie off gently but to no avail.
The Duchess never wanted to marry the King. It was all his idea, Wallis was quiet happy to be his mistress, as she was still in love with her husband at the time. King Edward was rather boring, Wallis on the other had a zest for the good life, a style icon amongst the jet set, great hostess, well traveled and well read,. The Queen, as a Princess, was very fond of her Uncle Edward, then came the abdication and the Queen saw very little of him there after. I got the impression that King Edward never really wanted to be a King, he just wanted to love and be loved by Wallis at any cost, including his throne.
When Wallis married Edward V111, she thought that she would be Queen. But it back fired and even though her lawyer took advantage of her, she still had money.
There are several references to the nickname cookie. It is well known Elizabeth’s Mother was unable to get pregnant again. It has been said the cook was a surrogate for the last 2 children. Elizabeth and her brother.
I felt bad for her you love who you love they should have at least showed her respect after all Edward loved her more than anything, he showed the world that, may she be at peace with her husband, God bless the royal family
The Queen only visited because she was on a State visit to Paris . It would have looked appalling if she had not visited her dying Uncle , whilst there . Charles , indeed did have huge sympathy for of them but the whole thing runs far deeper . There is no doubt that the late Duchess of Windsor was treated disgracefully and so much of the established narrative is just untrue . Ask Hugo Vickers .
‘Poor Wallis’ should have respected tradition and Royal life. Edward VIII was not a spare to do as he pleased but the future King of many countries. Look how angry we Brits get today at the manipulative woman married to the spare and he will never be king. Karma does not forget.
@@rivermoon6190 most of this was down to Edward not Wallis, she was happy being a bit on the side and was happy with Ernest. Edward threatened to kill himself if she left him. He caused the trouble,he was so infatuated with her.
@@Hava744 It takes two to tango as they say and Wallis should have walked away, rather than be ‘happy being a bit on the side’. She is equally to blame so please don’t try to paint her as the victim in all this. She knew what she was doing - she wanted the perks of this relationship but no responsibility for it. We have history repeating itself today, with another American wanting the fame and perks of such a position but none of the work to go with it. She too is claiming she is the victim.

Exactly. By chance a friend of mine worked closely with her at the end. A devoted night nurse. Really liked & respected her. No slum death.

What comes around, goes around...
Wallis Simpson Looked down on her royal husband Belittle him On his deathbed he was crying for her but she would not comfort him
She was never an HRH.
No but Edward loved her
Who cares?

She was not forced to marry him, she wanted the lifestyle and privilege's that went with him.
Bertie was not involved with her! It was David! Bertie went on to be a great (however hesitant) King! He was father to HM Queen Elizabeth!!!
She was apparently not happy with her life. Well, she arranged it that way. It was made clear to her that she would never be queen.

Wallace in what I have read she was very abusive to the Duke
Good old NutMeg seemed to take a page out of Wallace’s book! Two peas in a pod.
Stop lying
Nothing could be further from the truth . What a foolish and ignorant comment , imo.
Don’t think Wallace was as spiteful and arrogant as Markle
Don't think Megan had contact with the Nazis and never aspired to be Queen. What a dumb comment
Agreed!
When Wallis married Edward V111, she thought that she would be Queen. But it back fired and even though her lawyer took advantage of her, she still had money.
Meghan Markle reincarnated
🤔🐊🤑🤑🤑
@aeroTnz I always think Meghan Markle looks similar to Wallis Simpson.
What ever became of this unscrupulous attorney Madam Bloom? Has anyone ever written a book about this attorney’s actions?
Regardless of what one may of thought about Wallis, she did not deserve Madam Bloom.

So, was Bloom ever held accountable?
This is going to be Mrs Maggot alone and no money
you are misinformed however thats not your intention to tell the truth , what bloody rubbish
No, YOU are the one that’s misinformed. Do some research.

This woman never had the title of HRH. And she treated her husband like crap. (why does this sound so familiar 🤔)
He was an absolute disgrace and she tagged along
Slum? I think absolutely not!
I think she looks like Meghan Markle too
Thumbs down for clickbait
After being denied his role for marrying a Divorcee and now look, King Charles sits on the throne with a Divorcee....SMH.
At least the late queen learned, how mrs Parker married and became the next queen...life is bizarre..
So much like Meghan Markle
She is much different from Markle, she never have a big mouth against the HRH. Her only mistake is to love the King to be on England.
She didn’t love him. She used him. Do your research.
Poor Wallis , what an ending. If the Queen mother wasn’t so spiteful, unlike her daughter, who did visit ,as did Charles.

Wallace Simpson was living in Windsor castle after her husband died and the queen gave her an allowance so she didn’t die in poverty or squalor.
She lived in France and died there they were banned from Britain.
She NEVER lived in Windsor castle!

It's Wallis!
@@darlenesutton7248 That's hilarious. Nope, she was never "banned" from Britain. You just pulled that one out of your vajayjay.

Markle and Wallis Simpson had NOTHING in common ! The Queen Mother was particularly mean ....
