That's called a DEAD RINGER. Back in the day, they put a string into the coffin hooked to a bell above the coffin just in case the person thought to be dead wasn't. DEAD RINGER.

@@robertmanley2687Two phrases with completely different history and meaning are getting confused. "Dead ringer" is an identical copy or look alike coming from horse racing. A "ringer" was 19th century slang for "a duplicate" with "dead" meaning "dead center" or "spot on" and describes horses that looked like other horses entered into a race under false pretense.
To "ring your bell" or "have your bell rung" means to get hit so hard that the victim passes out as if dead. It comes from a period when bodies believed to be dead had strings tied to their fingers or hands incase they revived in the coffin after burial. They could pull the string tied to a bell above ground, ringing the bell and alerting those above ground that the recently buried was not dead.
It is not specific to America. Safety coffins with various means of alerting those above ground were designed in Britain and Germany in the 1700s.

it's happening more and more too. You would think doctors could tell when someone is actually dead after all that training? But no, the patient is nothing more than a $dollar amount. This is vile, unacceptable and all involved need jailed asap. Are they using AI lately to declare someone is dead? I can believe how many similar stories I have read recently. No excuse for causing the suffering, terror of a human being after they have gone through enough already before the fake death. Not many make it being found alive after declared dead. I can't imagine what these people go through, suffocating in body bags, frozen alive, thrown around- this is barbaric, evil and must be punished.

Agonal breathing… that is the bodies last attempts to breath.
When Agonal Breathing starts; the person needs to be inside a trauma bay or have emergency supplies near the body.
CPR until ambulance shows up only shifts the location of where the person dies.
Death shouldn’t be in a funeral home, but that poor woman was still dying when the nursing home called funeral home and when the funeral home called the ambulance.
Hearing and seeing a body agonal breathing would traumatize funeral home staff expecting a dead body.

I'm sure glad my parents, and grandparents managed to find the the time to care for me as an infant. If they wouldn't have been able to find the time I guess I would have just laid there like these elderly people do and passed away. I can't imagine how they got enough sleep with me screaming and crying all the time, wanting to be fed and what not, jeez !
No, we, Americans, as a culture don't take care of our elderly, and those of us with the means barely take care of our own children !
It has now gotten to the point where the ones that don't have the means to pay for childcare just let the kids raise themselves, and it definitely shows in their behavior ! Too selfish and entitled to take care of those who brought us here when they need to be cared for.
I'm not judging anyone, I'm no better than any other American.
But I can see our faults, glaring at us. I can't imagine that it will last much longer, or end very well at all.

Lots of times the kids are too far away. In the US everyone in a family don't all live in one town, village or all nearby.

“women” is a plural word. “woman” refers to one singular woman.
