- 2019 Honda Ridgeline Front Brake pad replacement . This should also apply to Honda Pilot of the same vintage.
Brake pads were down to 2mm left dealer wanted to do them but for $388 USD. I said no I do my own brakes.
Here I replaced my brakes for the first time on a Honda Ridgeline. The brake setup is a little different then others cars I have worked on , Maxima, Odyssey , Corolla. The spring set up to assist retraction of the pads is a little tricky . To be honest, I did have to take them out and put more brake grease in key areas to keep the brakes from dragging and squeezing.
Basically I saved about $340 by DIY.
And the brake pads have a limited lifetime warranty on them as long as I own my truck.

Pad Parts used :
DG1723 included new hardware
Tools :
Floor jack 3 ton
Jack stands 3 ton
Socket set 17mm
Extendible ratchet 3/8 drive
Flat head screwdriver
Brake clean
Shop towels
Brake lubricant
Flashlights
Tire iron
4x4 wood to use as chucks
Bungee cord
Torque Wrench to torque down lug nuts
Make sure to Torque lug nuts
to 94 ft-lbs

Can’t see the majority of what your showing, it’s cut off at the bottom
Take it easy on me , this was the first time I have ever done brakes on this truck. The Honda Odyssey and Nissan Maxima are much simpler.

@@christianbharper no problem the spring it uses to help push out breaks is very difficult to put back, Even the rear break pads use the same kind of set up. Maybe the next time I need todo the brakes I will shoot another video.
