if I remember correctly as this was a while ago, there is a small spring that goes into some plastics. or linkages were sticky from age from this mower was left outside in elements

I guess here it says its no longer available. but you might find used one on ebay or locally listing of one being scrapped or thrown out.

Let me see if my side cover survived the tree falling on the handle.

@@barbaratolefree6409 I use it for mostly the same and after I mow to blow of curb and driveway. I have other battery’s that work with it from other tools. So for me it’s ok. If you need something the blows harder will have to go with a brushless motor powered such as Hart branded one

its a good mower, keep care of it and it will last a long time.

I took the carb out and cleaned it and reassembled it. Alternatively you can just replace the carb with a new one this one was dirty jets were clogged from ethanol fuel. I shot this short just to put for the channel overview vid this statement above is in the video description of the short if you looked

Getting off the plug can be tricky. This was only the 2nd o2 sensors I have ever replaced in my life. The plug is attached to something that slides off a mount . Then after that I was able to unplug it if my memory was correct. I was unable to get that on video due to fowl language but it did take me about 10 mins to get it if I remember correctly

@@dfields9511 I fixed it, it was hard but I did it. I had to watch 4 videos. You also need needle nose pliers to reach into the engine bay. The rear bank 1 and bank 2 sensors are the same and bank1 and bank2 front sensors are the same.

@@dfields9511 getting an extension is a must as well no longer than 3”. And tape/zip ties to secure the wire from touching hot parts.

@@sam-by6go this is kind of what it is for lawnmowers. For most mfg . The 4.8 is not exact I would say at least 4.8 or more .

glad it helped I no longer have this car but did make a some other videos on it on my channel, fixing some things on it.

@@user-xe5mf3nd6o disconnect kill wire from coil then see if you get spark. If you do . You have a wiring problem with the kill wire to to coil

I did that and it does appear to be a problem with the kill wire. They’re cheap so I’m going to pick on u0 on eBay. Thank you

yep and it came out really good, I doubt anybody will be able to tell it was swapped I know the cover said 6.25 in reality it is a 7.25 engine. and the blade adaptor is a MTD not a Craftsman.

sorry I do not remember the details on this one, all that matters is that it fits around the blade adaptor. Toro Blade adaptors are proprietary to Toro and LawnBoy since Toro bought Lawnboy. if I remember correctly the superRcycler blade are 2 blades once in the center and the other blade. focus on the blade adaptor design. all it has to do is fit the Blade Toro blade adaptor. you can lookup the blade(s) for it from parts sites or www.toro.com/en/parts/ you will need the model number and serial number you can also if the blades are not that bad, just sharpen them and put back

Hopefully I’ll tune it later My most recent project was getting a 1974 craftsman with Tecumseh Engine going. It has points ignition. And yep I got it going. Vid will be out 8/31/2024

@@scottdunn4506 unfortunately after I took this video the engine never started again. It sounds like timing off. , I check fw key and it’s fine. Starting to think something is issue with points ignition. Or points need to be sanded. Never have I dealt with points . Btw This mower is the one I used as a kid.

I now got it running again I have sanding the points For good measure and making sure all the kill wires are correct and then I found the plug was incorrect it was a champion H10C. How that worked I have no idea It takes a RJ8C. So maybe that was why I lost spark. I knew coil was working I tested it by shocking myself on the plug wire. I looked up the plug and found a NGK 3522 as the alternative plug and found one in stock at the local auto parts store for $3

That’s good is that a old Briggs engine on it also I fixed the lawnmower I found last night in the trash they put the blade on backwards I had to put it on correctly and it started right up

Yes it was very nice . Soo nice fluffy moved in. I had a circa 2000 craftsman green one with a Tecumseh engine . It cut and worked great untill it developed. Rod nock at 15 year old .

@@hahockyang4440 yep and on my odyssey it had reduced oil consumption from 4qts. To 1-2qts per oil change

@@johnsavage6628 yep I did change my fluid and. I understand the mechanics saying not to . But in my case the car wouldnt really move much so I had nothing to lose by changing the fluid. So I did a slow flush , 3 fluid drain fills with about 1k miles between each . That helped a lot and I used lucus transmission stop slips. And later on seafoam trans tune. I got 42k and 4 years more on it. After this. It lost O/D but still moved. I no longer have the car. Sold it to somebody who had one just like it but has crashed it and wanted another. They told me they were going to take trans out of their wrecked car same year and model and put in this car and a new rear main seal as part of the process. Hopefully they did cause that would have gotten this car another 50k miles and it might of reached 300k miles.

its not that difficult to change but, I would use a NTK sensor or Denso. I did have to jack to car up and put on jack stands. I am not in the Rust belt so I didn't have to deal with Rust. if I remember correct S2 O2 Sensors are more $$ then S1 . Also not long after S2 went S1 also failed on bank 2. That one is easier to get to. and I have a separate vid on that one. honestly the most difficult part of this job was getting the O2 Sensor un-plugged . I did have to get the O2 Sensor Socket shone in the video This was only the 2nd O2 Sensor I have ever changed in my life. the other one was B2S2 on a 2001 Maxima.

What didn’t get explained ? This video was a part of another video . This was just for the re-string. Only. It is assumed the viewer is mechanically inclined enough to take off cover and the 2-3 bolts that hold the recoil to the shroud. Things get real interesting when you have to replace the spring. 😆

You need to see the mower i fixed up that had the rats nest in it. That one I had no choice but to replace the carb
