I'd never heard of Chris Stapleton before today. I've been pulling up songs and lyrics and You Tube videos of his music ALL DAY now. My heart is so full it literally hurts, and my jaw is on the floor. What a talent! What a voice! Good God almighty!

Its more pop rock but a hell of a track
I just heard this song for the first time. I was busy working, so I couldn't focus, but I knew it was special. When I sat down to listen to it later, I was brought to tears. It was written so well.
Take note country music fans. This is real country music... not that stuff they have been playing on the radio. I'm not a big country music fan, but I will listen to this guy over and over.

If u can play at all that is, can you do any better, id guess that's a huge NO lol. Look at how many fans and supporters they have. Look at how many shows their doin that they can't keep up with the demand. Look at their tours they do, they can't even keep up with the demand cause their so busy. Look at the records they sell and how much money they make. They are asked to host awards shows cause their so popular, there is a good reason why they ask certain performers to do such things cause they know how popular they really are. Chris also writes songs for other new country artists like Thomas Rhett and Luck Bryan so he must also think their pretty good or he wouldn't have let them take his songs to sing and record on their own albums. Things change over time and so does the style of music, these new country artists grew up listening to all the old great artists but it's a new sound today it doesn't mean it's not good or country far from it. They still sing about love, loneliness, heartache, drinking, partying, beautiful women and so on. Today's country artists have a wider range of fans and fill arena's top to bottom each show for the most part. They are very talented some writers as well, so again it's obvious that they don't suck and they have more fans, money, records and fame to prove so whether your little mind can see it or not its true they are very successful and are good at their craft.
How many of us have sit and listened to a song and cried our eyes out over a guy. same song over and over while your heart is breaking

Chris has a soulful, blues, jazzy, country, rock sound. He has a smooth voice and he can carry a note. I don't need to put him in a category of music...he is his own category.

I lost 5 loved ones this year including my Sweetie🌹and I'm not sure what's ahead for 2021, however I'm going forward with my head held high and optimistic that things will get better. One thing I learned as a United States Marine is that tough times don't last, tough people do... and when the going gets tough, you gotta dig in deeper and fight harder...
