I love how when they’re on the plane headed back to Chicago it cuts to a shot of him holding his head and his hands. We know it’s because he’s tired the mission is not going too well etc. but he’s wearing that goddamn tracksuit so you could chalk it up to finally surrendering to have to wear the damn thing lol

@@bsgtrekfan88 see that’s a part that also bugs me, is when Sam at the end goes “I got yours and you got mine” but the only way that pans out, they would have to be different calibers, which in law enforcement is a little difficult to believe.

The "big one" obviously refers to the suit. But Samuel knew it was a load of crap since he didn't have it fully ready yet for deployment.

The Roy Willy's BBQ is actually the Bay City General Store and Lodging in Bay City, Illinois. Even though it's not a real place, they used it as a BBQ place for the movie
I remember my mom voting there as a little kid when they used the space for that. Someone was living in the side rooms in the 80's. Mr. Neil and I would put his boat out there to run trotlines when I was younger, which was technically my first job, outside of working for family, is selling catfish with that one-handed old man who lived just south of the store overlooking the river. The bridge is between Raum and Eddyville over Lusk Creek, and I used to go bluegill fishing there.

One thing with this movie, they should've had Harrison Ford come in for guest appearance as Dr. Kimble to do Sam's medial check-up since he didn't get one after being shot.
Ford wouldn't have touched this movie. He knew it was a money grab with a very weak script. Right away, you could tell Downey was the bad guy.

Which is funny given that they later joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Robert Downey, Jr. playing Iron Man and Samuel L. Jackson playing Nick Fury. Also, Tommy Lee Jones (Samuel Gerard) played Chester Phillips in Captain America: The First Avenger.

Food is commonly given to law enforcement free or reduced price, but clothing not so much.
I rented this movie on pay-per-view and it came out as a kid when I was home “sick“ from school. One of the lines that’s always stuck with me is the fact that he pays for the T-shirt. There’s a shit load of food on the table because the restaurant knows the plane accident happened right across the street and there’s a shit load of workers that are gonna need some food so why not support the investigation and the work going on. However Girard does need a new shirt and he sees that stand over there by the wall and proceeds to buy one. He could’ve easily taken one but he wanted to make sure he did right by the Older and put money in the jar. He could’ve just taken it given that it’s just a single T-shirt but he didn’t I don’t know why it’s just always stuck with me as a good thing to do the right thing to do the perfect example of what deputy Sam Girard is known for

RDJ hated this movie. I was wondering why his performance was so strained. He just really hated the role but had to take it. His reasoning is on the trivia section of IMDB.

I honestly believe RDJ, bless his soul, would naturally have a hard time separating his life from the projects he was attached to at that time. US Marshals is solid as hell and is absolutely carried by it's lead actors. But there is something off about RDJ in the picture. He doesn't stand out and I was shocked to learn he even was in this movie. Even as I grew up, I never registered him in this one even after the Marvel debut.
His villain scenes are amazing, though. RDJ does a great bad guy.
